Terrible. They were on the verge of Repossession after they claimed they tried to make a collection for the past 5 months.I have not received a phone call in months. They claimed that they tried to contact me but that I had no service to my cell. I had previous issues with logging and I swear that they had set up automatic payments. I never noticed anything with my checking account since I just make sure I don't go below $10k. I receive a regular request for payment. Then I moved and had my mail forwarded. They claimed that they received a notice but they didn't try and contact me for my new address. I immediately paid the balance needed. I will be changing finance company.They didn't even know the color of the truck or insurance company. I believe that they dropped the ball on the necessary information on 62k loan.Awful service online and by phone.

CANNOT PAY DOWN LOAN WITHOUT BEING CHARGED INTERESTEvery credit union I have worked with has offered the ability to make a principle only payment. First tech however DOES NOT. So if you plan on paying your loan down faster count on paying the full interest as well.

worst bank i have ever delt with Auto Loans... There is no Auto Pay and when I try to make a payment from my other bank account it never works , then I have to be on the phone on hold for half an hour... Negative Stars

If there was a way to give negative stars for this place, I would. Their customer service is horrible. They disabled my account for suspected fraud. I called them on a Friday and they said there was nothing they could do until Monday, but that my ATM would still work. It did not. I asked if they have Fraud support on weekends, they said no. I called on Monday, and the one person working on my fraud case "was not in yet". I asked when they would be in, they said "some time today" and would get back to me. I am going to close my account when I get back from vacation. This place is terrible, avoid at all costs.

I've had this bank since 2014. No issues with them at all. It's primarily an online bank, so you need to be able to deposit checks thru the app etc. My CC's with them are super easy to pay thru the app, and easy to view as the transactions etc are viewable thru the app. I don't use checks or have any need to go to a physical bank, so they are good for me. I did need my debit card cancelled once (lost it), and also had no issues getting a new acct number. Because it's a credit union, I can use any other credit union if I need to withdraw cash. Their App is really easy to use, and much better than it was when I first started banking with them. Any credit union you use should be a safe choice if you have issues with First Tech.

I've been banking with them for over 10 years because I'm lazy. Really no favors here - I've never used any loan services (not competitive), returns on savings are very low, checks take over a month to arrive, few branch locations, on and on... but the staff is nice.

I will put a 0 if available. Every time I need to do a payment online my Credit Card gets blocked, even when buying plane tickets. Is crazy that I then have to spend 10 minutes on the phone and verify my identity twice. I cannot believe this bank is called First Tech, it's a joke! There is no technology behind this bank, is really a past century business. I don't think is that hard to implement a 2 step verification in 2023, seriously. If you need a bank that makes your life easier, this is not for you!

I have been using online banking with First Tech Federal CU for decades, and continue to have a wonderful experience that exceeds other Credit Unions I belong to. In fact I belong to four Credit Unions, and First Tech is my favorite. They were one of the first to come out with easy online check depositing by cell phone, and their customer service is courteous and helpful. I am surprised to see some of these negative reviews; I just haven't had anything but a great customer service and banking experience with First Tech. My personal experience.

We have been working with the staff of First Tech Credit Union in Rancho Bernardo for over 6 years.Some of the names have changed but one thing remains constant...great service, with a family vibe.We look forward to continuing our journey with First Tech for many years to come.

I don't recommend this branch it's quite pitiful that has taken me almost 5 weeks to get a check deposited at least 12 phone calls 6 texts 3 males 4 messages I can't even count anymore then they decided to not deposit and only have 2 accounts attracting and the savings I've given I've given them all my information and hasus I guess down there thinks it's funny to mess with people $2000 check and I moved all my money are most of my money To another credit Union and they seem to handle things professionally this one they're lost look at their reviews

I'd like to interrupt your story with a few facts I reached out to you folks several times and left messages all I got were voicemails only have 2 accounts one's checking and one savings and when I write to you with my draft and said this is Robert C. you have my phone number here's my address and put it in my checking it doesn't take a rocket scientist and 4 weeks later to figure it out you're lucky you deposited it . I was just about to file a complaint against you with your is there with the Office of the Inspector General. As a result of Jesus and the inability od FCU staff to accept the deposit I moved most of my money to another Credit Union. The new CU makes my life very simple ...Its just too tedious using 1st Credit Union. I think they have some challenges with their management and service levels . I don't recommend them.

First, not surprised to see the one-star reviews. We have been banking with First Tech for decades but it's time to move on. They have mismanaged our BillPay account on numerous occasions by showing an auto bill as being paid on time and then we receive a non-payment notice weeks later from the company. I don't like my bank creating havoc with our credit score due to their ineptness. And when we attempt to call to get the problem corrected, the CS person's first response is to deflect and for us to figure it out. No, the problem lies with First Tech.
