I saw this place had a 3.9 and that’s crazy because the amount of compliments I have gotten on the most unique bell bottom jeans that were made by this store, I honestly couldn’t count how many people rave about them and how well they fit, that I just had to come in and give Flashbacks 5 stars.

I had a nice variety of clothes and shoes. I asked how long it would take and they told me about an hour to go through everything. Not even 15 minutes later they called me back, didn’t give me any explanation of why they didn’t take my clothes. They didn’t even look through the bags.

The best curated secondhand store around! I always find amazing pieces to style here. Of course the pricing is going to be higher since they’re hand picked but that just means you’ll get lucky every time you stop in! I never cease to get compliments on all the things I’ve found at flashbacks

Items in the store are overpriced, and their buying policy makes no sense. I understood what they say about the cut they take (very high).
Brought in about $1500 worth of clothing. Came on a weekend and was told they only buy on Wednesdays. Came back Wednesday afternoon after work, was told I should come back on Saturday first thing in the morning when the line isn't long. ??? So finally came back on Saturday morning again. Not sure how they grade things, but they took 4 out of my 6 pieces and offered me about $70 for them. I coughed and took out a $800 Chantilly lace dress from the pile. That brought the total they were paying down to about $45. This included a ABS by Allen Schwartz silk charmeuse 30s style backless gown. I was so frustrated. I'll bet the majority of that money was towards the polyester Pinup Couture dress too. Ended up taking the money anyway because the higher amount given for store credit wasn't worth it with how overpriced most of their store was, and I'd already wasted two other days coming by.

I’ve been here a few times.
I have vintage and new gen clothes that look the part. Every time I go to resell the sorters never buy nor make a trade. I see what they take from others that are less appealing and I’m like this is a bias.
I miss the store that was next door it was so much better. The items in the store are overall priced too. I’d prefer to go to Buffalo. Exchange across the street or Plato’s who always buy from me and don’t treat me like I don’t belong. Such rude service I wouldn’t recommend shopping here.

Coolest curated thrift in San Diego. I could spend all day and my whole paycheck in here. Prices are higher than a regular thrift store of course, but they're not radical and the prices feel earned (more than some of the big name shops who will try to sell you modern items at new prices.) Good experience and I was able to find some cool, unique items to purchase

Wow, this place has the worst customer service ever. Consistently. That's probably the only consistent thing about them, beyond the all the stuff they order from china and pretend is "vintage". How does every member of their staff seem like they hate their lives and jobs? How can people be so rude in a retail setting, is this job really so horrible? Makes me never want to return. Go across the street.
