The Bad Advice and Not Our Problem nursery:Green Gardens, what should I plant on my -pretty-much-full-shade-entry-way?Was sold 3 chartreuse cypress (aka, Lemon Cypress). Lovely little things. 4 months later, 2 out of 3 are dead. The building gardener, the neighborhood green thumb and landscapeplants.oregonstate.edu all agree. These trees need full sun.Ahem, Green Gardens.Went back to see what could be done. Was told, (Thank you Luke! Thank you Chrissy!), shade wasn't the problem. No help offered, no replacements, no nothing.Usually, I write positive reviews. (There's enough negativity these days.)But in this case? It's the mistake after the mistake guys.Maybe work on that.

A local favorite! Green Gardens has incredible indoor and outdoor options and even friendlier staff. They were able to deliver a large plant that didn’t fit in my car, which was above and beyond and so appreciated. Their outdoor section is vast and fun to walk through even if you don’t know what you are looking for.Prices are reasonable, though you can likely buy more inexpensively at somewhere like Lowe’s or Home Depot. Their staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely recommend if you are interested in supporting local!

Visiting & decided to take my mother here. Very wide range of plants, succulents and pots. Customer service is great. Everyone smiles and is helpful. I walked out w/a few plants and prices are reasonable. The set up is also very nice. Street parking and cash accepted.

We were spending time at Mission/Pacific Beach and when we were finished, we needed to pickup a present for a relative. We looked into Yelp's crystal ball and decided to check out Green Gardens Nursery. We found quite easily. It was a busy weekday all around. We parked across the street and crossed the road. Upon entering, we were greeted by a young gentleman watering plants. Several people restocking, moving plants, helping others. We were left unattended while we checked out all their beautiful plants. This is a smaller nursery, but it has a little of everything! You'll be able to find something here. They have beautiful plants, trees, succulents, hanging baskets, statues, candles, planting soils, and much more!!We will be back to check more items out....

Plants looked well taken care of and everything was so clean. The staff were friendly and very happy to help. I was asked 3 different times if I was ok or needed any help. It was so beautiful inside and out. I'd love to go back!

My brother got me a gift card here for my birthday and I had a splendid time walking around the nursery. The plants are beautiful and it smells amazing. It was hard to pick out what I wanted because the nursery is stocked with just about everything. The employees were super helpful and explained how to care for the plants I bought. They also have quite a large selection of pots that are beautiful and reasonably priced. I highly recommended visiting even just to walk around and feel the sun on your face, hear the insects buzz, and see some very happy plants.

Although not all staff seem to have the same level of plant knowledge, I have enjoyed stopping by there for the past 25 years at least. Most of the trees I bought as tiny ones are taller than my house now. Prices are about same as Home Depot. Then support local business! Some employees may not have good smiling skills, but all of them really like plants and their suggestions are very useful. It is wonderful to have a nursery in PB. I highly recommend this place.

The absolute best little neighborhood garden shop!! They have a surprisingly great selection considering the size of a place. In particular, they have a decent selection of veggies and herbs (prices are cheaper than Lowe's!), good plants for patios, hanging flowers, house plants, and little gifts/knick knacks. It's close to the beach so can be challenging to park depending on when you come. However, they have a couple curbside 30 minute spots that are convenient if you can snag them. Staff has always been friendly. I don't need any other garden store as this spot covers everything I need!

This is my favorite garden store! The staff is always so helpful and knowledgeable, and there are plants for every kind of garden. I especially love the fountains that are placed around the outside areas (and my kids do too!) There are flowers for flower beds... vegetables like lettuce and kale, I've seen mulberry tree/bushes, and plenty of air ferns of all sizes! There are indoor plants and lovely (sometimes rare/expensive) house plants... however I come for the succulents and cactus types... there are always so many things unique and cool looking ones here! Oh, and the statues!!! Everything from buddhas to saints. And there is an attached non-plant seasonal trinket and gift kind of room, I always look forward to seeing what theme they have going on in there. 10 stars!!!

I like how Green Gardens aka Cass Street Nursery hires veterans. Pricey. Knowledgeable people. There’s no parking lot. Street parking only. This is the closest nursery to my home and business. I have a Ca. Business license so I’ll be buying from a wholesale nursery instead. For large quantities of landscaping plants. I do prefer to support and shop local. My husband and I came here to buy our Christmas tree and the gentleman who helped was very nice. He was a military veteran. Very happy to work there. I tried to tip him, since he was so helpful but he didn’t accept it. It’s a smaller neighborhood nursery, so it’s a good place to come for a few plants or gifts. My biggest gripe is the pricing. Otherwise my experience was pretty nice.
