Terrible experience !I rented a car and the employee told me that I should not be able to collect my car at 1:00 am since it was a busy day, so that I would rather wait for 6:00 am to pick up the car.I tried to contact customer service, but the service menu is limited and it does not offered a real support

We went on a Saturday and was a little bit crowded because of the reduced hours I believe, so had to wait a little but the lady at the desk was extremely helpful and manageable of the situation for everyone. Checking in was smooth, we did have to wait to get the EV we chose even though other options were given but wasn't bad it was our choice to wait and worked out fine in the end.

Better off renting from the airport location. We had a reservation post holiday and they had no cars. The wait was told it would be atleast two hours as there were no cars.

One person operation. If you are in a hurry, forget it. Melissa (the agent) is a friendly and super nice person, but waiting for service, or your car is long and frustrating. When I arrived there were 3 parties ahead of me. At least 45 min wait before my name was taken, then another 30 min- but luckily my car was physically ready. One person ahead of me had waited hours. The one desk person (Melissa) was actually cleaning the cars. I asked her, and she said that this was their everyday process, they were not short. She was it. But service with a smile, not flustered, definitely a great employee.

Melissa is the reason I am leaving this review. She always takes care of customers with a friendly attitude and a smile!I rent a lot of cars from Hertz and others. I keep going back to the Laurel Street location because they are fast and efficient. Melissa is always friendly and smiling! She deserves a Five Star review!

I made my reservation two weeks before I picked my car on 7/26/23. On the time I went to pick up my rental They had no car. There was seven families waiting as well. The manager was very rude and Did not give a damn at all. I understand that it was the end of a day for her, but she had no compassion. She had a major attitude. So she sent us to a place that closed at 5pm to get a car from El cajon city. It was 4:11 pm. I ask her if she called the manager from the other Hertz rent a car.To see if you could stay a little late so we can pick our car up. She said negative. She said negative that's not gonna happen. So I see, she does not go above and beyond for her customers. On the way to the Hertz rent a car. I called the manager and he stayed extra 15 minutes for us. So I will not be returning back today. NEVER rent an EV (Electric Vehicle) for an out of town trip. The lady was very nice and accommodating, telling us how great it would be to use etc BUT she didn't mention we literally were renting the most piece of trash, worst EV ever made! The Chevrolet Bolt: *You cant use the AC or YOU DRAIN THE BATTERY (Driving through AZ was hell!) *You cant charge your phone or YOU DRAIN THE BATTERY *You cant drive uphill or YOU DRAIN THE BATTERY (Drained 80 miles in 10 minutes giving us the worst scare of even making it to the next charger)*You cant drive faster than 70 mph or YOU DRAIN THE BATTERYThis car cant charge more than 30 volts so its takes an hour - hour and a half to get to 80% chargeAlso, the car rental gave us the damn car at 50% charge when we had the car reserved several days in advance! This crippled our road trip to arizona. The car is garbage. Hertz as a company sucks. We tried to exchange it at another 3 other hertz and each one said "We dont have any vehicles right now" which im sure is a lie. We were in that damn car for 21 hours on our trip to Phoenix total because of waiting for chargers, since Electrify chargers all were down except for one at each stop along the way (each were 50 to 100 miles apart)

I had a pick up appointment scheduled for 12pm on a Saturday. Took an uber from the airport and arrived around 1215 due to a slight delay in my flight. Was never notified that my appointment time was at the moment they closed, despite a lengthy conversation with a gentlemen about my vehicle a few days prior who ended the call with "see you at 12pm on the 24th!" I arrived and was informed by the rude attendant that they were closed and she could not help me. So I had to uber back to the airport, rent a car there and pay 3x as much for a lower class car. Maybe I should have checked the posted hours but maybe don't schedule an appointment for the moment you close and maybe a courtesy call would have been nice to at least save me the uber ride.

I was at this location about a month ago, during spring break - I needed a rental and almost nobody had any. Found one here, but as it turned out, the rental didn’t show up for its return time. The agent helping me, Avery, was very efficient, calm & collected while taking care of my situation and helping the 3 other customers coming in after me. Soon enough, Avery drove me up the freeway (about 10 mins) because they were able to find me a rental. Top notch service on his end. Thank you!

Thank you for the perfect rental experience. Before renting I was a little worried because I have had a few bad experiences with car rentals in the USA. However, everything worked really well here and they didn't try to get more money from extra fees. Fast service too, so I think this is the better choice than renting a car at airports.

There was one person working. She was working the front desk and having to clean and prep the cars so there was a huge wait for everything. She was doing a great job but I won't be going back to a place that does this to their staff.

The manager here has no customer service skills. She will allow 10 people to stand around and wait for a vehicle while she wastes 30 minutes slowly cleaning out each vehicle. She ignores any requests from the customers to take the vehicle as is. We had an appointment to pick up our vehicle and prepaid. It was not ready. After an hour of waiting, she then told us she had to "clean the vehicle". We told her we needed to leave ASAP because we had a tour booked and we're going to miss it. She would not give us the car without the 30 minute cleanout so we missed our tour and we're unable to get a refund. This manager should be FIRED....
