I love TJMaxx and HomeGoods, so lucky me, this location has my 2 favorite stores under one roof! To the left is TJMaxx and to the right is HomeGoods. With so many selections, I was like a kid in a candy store! At such a great value, it's hard to resist the temptations. I bought myself a vase of high quality tulips that's perfect for my office. I was very happy with my purchase!

There are more than 50 people waiting in line on the weekend with 6 people at the cashier counters. Seems like a store this busy can do better than this on a regular basis!

Checkout line is always a 30 min minimum wait. Employee at the jewelry desk was very rude when I asked if I could check out one item with her. I understand if this was hard set rule but I had just seen her check out a guest who had a handful of things (none jewelry related). This was definitely a double standard. Not sure if it was a coincidence but she helped the white male but not the Hispanic woman.

This store, by far, has some amazing home goods I haven't seen in any other Southern California stores, and I have visited most of them. I am impressed by their organization, cleanliness, and variety of goods. I really love that they carry extra large area rugs. Their clothing is typical of most TJ maxx's and Marshall's. Today, I tried to return a pair of Kyodan Yoga pants labeled XL but are more like a medium. I did not have the receipt, but the tags were still attached for the price of $19.99. The cashier informed me the tag was for a sports active wear jacket. Well, I don't work at TJ Maxx, so why the yoga pants were labeled incorrectly is not my fault. She offered to give me $16.99 store credit for them, the typical price for most of their yoga pants. Absolutely not. I am truly disappointed in their customer service this time and will not be returning to this particular store again.

Manager is rude. We weren't aware of the jewelry no receipt policy. All I wanted was an exchange and off the bat she said no. Both the manager and Jewelry attended showed no sympathy. We asked where the sign was because online said nothing about Jewelry returns , she just pointed at jewelry department and said the sign is there go read it. And we walked away. She raised her voice at us and everything..

I've shopped at Tj Maxx for about 40 years. The Mission Valley store is the worst. Lines are bad enough during the Christmas season - understandable. I think there are about 10+ check out stations. I left last time without making my purchase because the line was very long. It was mid-morning, mid-week. There were maybe 3 or 4 stations operating. Many times, I see 2 or 3 employees chatting it up behind the counters. I don't understand why management doesn't get employees to check-out BEFORE the line is down the aisle to the shopping floor. I GO TO SHOP; NOT STAND IN LINE. If next time, the line is long when I walk in, I'm walking out. TJ Maxx - you can do better!

Two stars. And only because I like the sales staff. But the three smartass clowns that loaded my new $1000 leather wrapped bar. Zero stars or brains: it always pisses me off when I own a local San Diego business, and work to make sure my employees are good people that care about our customers. The scenario goes like this. I'm one guy, and need help loading the furniture. I'm thinking about how I'm offloading and curious about the weight, and how I'm going to manage it at my destination. Which is at one of my businesses. When I ask "how heavy it is", I get the obligatory smartass "heavy" comment as these three goofballs throw the furniture in my truck, spin and roll out. Not a simple conversation, or do you need help strapping it down, or "thanks for your business"... If I didn't need this thing, I would've had those chuckleheads drag it out and returned it onsite and gone without. Sad humans these days. Poor poor poor customer service, and over-entitled, and self absorbed. I won't be back. I'll buy from Wayfair next time..

This was my first time visiting a TJ Maxx and HomeGoods combo. This is basically what it sounds like. Half the store goes to each company. It's a very convenient and interesting set up that is perfect for most any retail shopping. Probably most convenient for gifts and personal decor/clothing

They sell the damage item to me , I tried to return it cause I thought they made a mistake but the manager said they can't accept the return and he recommended me to sell the item online, such a fraud. Just be careful when you purchase they sell you damage item and tell you you can wash it and if it doesn't go away you can return but they don't accept the return then . It was expensive item but such a poor quality and already damaged. I made a mistake to listen to the cashier.

This is my favorite location! Always finding some really incredible items here, especially at the jewelry counter where there are so many 14 k gold pieces that are so fashionable and affordable for being old. 5 stars service from Ikuyo N from the jewelry counter. I watched her connect with every customer that walked up, some are regulars that she clearly has helped in the past. Her friendly, joyful demeanor was much appreciated when it was my turn. She was super patience and I tried on 10 different rings and necklaces. Ended up buying 5. I didn't catch the older Sadie's name at the dressing room but she was super friendly as well. Overall, best service here and can't wait to be back!

It’s really nice and big, has a lot to choose from. The secret shopper there might be a little racist but I know they don’t stick around for too long.

I've decided to STOP ordering for online deliveries from Skinny Syrups because I found the same Skinny Syrups in the gourmet section of Home Goods, T. J. Maxx, & Marshall's department stores for half the price! I found a "combo" option of Home Goods with TJ Maxx at a close-by shopping mall. I went to their gourmet kitchen goodies section, but sadly, I did not find any Skinny Syrup choices. There were plenty of Toriani flavors and other brands I've never seen before. I took my chance and found the odd brands satisfying in flavor and they are all sugar-free, which is my first priority!! I'll keep returning to the local shops and save the cost and get twice as many bottles!! Woohoo.

My roommates and I came in looking for a new chair for our house. We found one we loved but were unsure if we could fit it in our SUV. Sylvia and Robert went ABOVE AND BEYOND. Robert helped us to our car and when we couldn't close the trunk door, went to his own car and gave us his own rope to help us secure it! We love this Home Goods, we'll be returning for sure!

I went to this location to return a necklace that I purchased a few days ago and I walked to the jewelry counter. I waited for someone to notice me for about 5 min and I asked an associate to come help me. She got irritated because I interrupted whatever she was doing. I told her that I have a return and an email receipt. She rolled her eyes saying that she can't accept the return without a physical receipt. This is not accurate because when you make a purchase at Tj Max they give you an option if you want a print paper receipt or an email receipt.I felt like this person didn't want to help me and didn't care enough to provide good customer service like every other Tj Max locations I've been to. I asked to see her name tag and she refused to show it to me. I believe her name is Kuyo (don't know if I'm spelling it correctly). Aferwards, I talked to the manager of this location and I understood why the associate I talk to earlier is the way she is - because the leader of the store is exactly like that as well - rude, unhelpful and careless. I have never experienced such bad customer service in my life. Right after I left the store, I went to another location and they were able to help me without any questions asked- simple and easy. These women should not work in customer service because they lack the skills that one needs in customer service. Don't go to this location in Rio San Diego Dr cause you'll leave the place very unhappy.
