The infrastructure is quite good and the standard of the rooms is acceptable. We spent quite a lot of money per night for having a room with a very small patio in front of the pool, facing the bushes surrounding the pool, with people passing by (no privacy) and with no sun (very dark room all day long even if outside it was one of the sunniest day we ever seen). This room was sold to us as 'tropical view' or 'garden view' room, but all we had was a couple of chairs outside the room with no sun or light.Housekeeping was only turning up at 4:20pm when we were trying to chill in our dark (depressing) room and we therefore we sent then away.

Beautiful premises and very nice rooms. The whole hotel was very comfortable and beautiful, would be perfect for a couple wanting a getaway. Food was good as well, and so was the service.

When I'm in San Diego Humphreys Half Moon Inn is my go to. The pool and hot tub are amazing and pale in comparison to the caliber of front desk staff. They are quick to greet you with a smile and offer to help you. Relaxing by the fire pits are an amazing way to end your day of site seeing or working.

So much better than we expected. When people asked where we were staying it seemed all the San Diego people knew H.H.M.inn and had something good to say about it.Nearby activities: Bali Hi Sunday brunch was a 5 minute walk and wonderful!

Great experience with staff at check in. Gorgeous courtyard area with luxurious foliage, evening fire pits, & tiki torches. The pool and hot tub are fantastic (comfortably heated and generous size). Great koi pond(s) connected with foot bridge over union and a couple of parrots round out the Great atmosphere. Room sound proofing leaves a little to be desired and the rooms could use some updating.Nearby activities: Marina veiw; across the road to waterfront that runs somewhere about a mile

The resort is well maintained with gorgeous landscaping. There's a wonderful, relaxed tropical vibe. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are restaurants and parks within easy walking distance. I highly recommend Humphreys for a family vacation.Rooms: The rooms are airy and bright with shutters that can be closed to keep out the light for sleeping in. Our room came equipped with all the basics: small refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, clothes iron, full-sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. The room was clean and overlooked a beautiful, tropical seating area with tiki torches and fire pit tables.Walkability: It's a short walk to restaurants and parks.Noteworthy details: There is a marina with an overlook area that's great for photos.

Humphreys Half Moon Inn is by far the best of three trips to San Diego. Our previous stays at Mission Beach and the Hotel Circle area don't compare to the tropical setting of Humphreys Half Moon Inn on Shelter Island. It's a great location and not as hectic as other areas in San Diego.Walkability: Nice safe area to walk with plenty of restaurants in walking distance.

I was here for 2 nights for a conference. Only 15 mins away from the San Diego Airport. They call this place Shelter island. There were few other more fancy restaurants around this place too.
