We bought a used Ford Focus from them and were happy with the buying experience. They gave us a very fair price, negotiating in a good deal on an extended warranty due to a known issue with the car's engine that year. Years later, we just had to take it in to be serviced, and Jeff Long, our service advisor really took great care of us, his techs finding issues with the car including needing a new clutch, a loose motor mount and some leaking something or other, all of which he was able to get covered under our soon expiring warranty. Thanks Jeff and Kearny Mesa Ford!

Was trying to purchase a f150 lightening xlt. They didn't have one in stock and they said they were getting one from another location by trading a different car from their lot for it. Made us wait for 6 hrs. End of the day we signed the contract and put the deposit and everytbing and left without the truck saying we could come back the next day to pick it up. Next day, it wasn't available so I just canceled the contract. I called the north county ford (the dealership they were supposedly getting the truck from) they said they weren't going to trade. They offered it to me for 4k cheaper and I went and picked it up same day. If you don't have the vehicle, don't say you do and stop promising what you don't have or can't get. Waste everyone's time. Such bad service.

Decided to buy a Ford F-150 Lightning and KM Ford had one that I liked in stock. Did the deal in one day. I love my truck. Interaction with all personnel at KM Ford was very positive. Daniel was my salesman, Manuel, the finance manager, and Rick gave me the walk-through on the operation of the truck. They all did a great job.

I’m surprised there are so many great reviews. My experience with this service department is shocking. 1) They never answer their phone. 2) too busy. 3) took 2 days to diagnose the issue 4) told me I needed new spark plugs when I had just replaced them 2 weeks ago. 5) gave me a quote to fix something I could have done somewhere else for $600 less. I simply called around other places after given this quote. 6) My rear tire is now making a strange noise when I drove away & I’m afraid to take it back there. What a disaster. 7) I waited 3 weeks for this appointment & pay $200 just for their opinion. 8) They won’t tell me their service fee over the phone. I had to bring it in first to find out.

In January of 2023 I tried ordering a Bronco at our local dealership in Fairfield Ca. Order banks were closed so I started a search for the exact one I wanted ordered that wasn't going over the MRSP by $20k. There wasn't any around us in our price range. I found one online in San Diego. I spoke with Jinelle and was able to negotiate the price snd do everything over phone and text. My husband and I booked a flight to San Diego and she offered to pick us up. When we got to the dealership, everything was ready and the process literally took us 15 mins. By far the easiest car purchase I've ever made. Thank you for making our Bronco purchase a dream.

I had an amazing experience with Daniel Daniel and Eric with my purchase of the Ford Maverick!! They were able to take care of me and my family from start to finish. More specifically, Daniel was a strong advocate for us and followed up with all of my requests and accommodations. His customer service is top notch and I cannot wait to do business with him in the future. I am so grateful for his knowledge and kindness…they really made our day after our purchase! Thank you again, Daniel, Eric and Kearny Mesa Ford!!! ?

This review is for Jeanette D. She is a true professional and an asset to this dealership. The return of my Ford Escape lease was so painless and that is due to Jeanette. I appreciate her and the dealership for their excellent customer service!

What they are doing at this dealership is criminal. My 83 mother went here a month ago for a "$99 service" they advertised. They performed additional services without authorization and they basically held her and her car hostage and managed to coerce $1700 out of her for absurd services that were completely unnecessary. This company needs to be investigated by law enforcement.

Make an appointment before you go, if you need service on your car. It'll make life much easier. That important notice out of the way, they were very professional and accurate with their service, timing projections, and pricing. I had a recall issued and they helped me get it taken care of right away. If you are within 10 miles, they will even help you get home while they are working on your vehicle and then back up when it's ready to go. They were very communicative about progress and what to expect. Highly recommend if you have a Ford vehicle.

Best dealership experience I have ever had. Ali was the salesperson and for the first time on a dealership lot I felt comfortable. Entire staff was first class. If you live in San Diego and are considering buying a new car or truck make Kearny Mesa Ford your first stop. Finally they also have a huge selection of cars and trucks. Thank you to the entire staff at Kearny Mesa Ford for getting me the truck I wanted at a great price. The new process of buying a car/truck was super easy. First I chose a truck online, then immediately I got an email with a salesman’s name and cell. So I text Ali and set up an appointment. As soon as we arrived Ali was ready with the keys to the truck we selected. Also note that Ali has a tremendous amount of experience and explained everything from start to finish. If you go to Kearny Mesa Ford definitely ask for Ali. The rest of the process was seamless. And if you’re one of those people like me that read the reviews on everything before you go this is an honest review. I am not a person that normally writes reviews but their customer service at Kearny Mesa Ford was so far above a 10/10 I had to leave a review. I hope everyone considering buying a car or truck will choose Kearny Mesa Ford and Ali for the salesman.

My initial sales experience was fairly good. But the customer service since they sold me a car has been awful. On the day I bought a car my salesperson Jinnel told me they could not hand off an owner’s manual and a second key because they were left at another dealership where the car was originally stocked. She promised me they would get them delivered to my address in Los Angeles. A month passed by and no delivery or even a phone call. I called her to check the status, she wasn’t aware of the situation and said that she would look into it(later it turned out that it was due to their miscommunication within the dealership). Another few weeks passed by and no update. So I called her and Sasha from another division multiple times to see what is really going on. It turned out that the other dealership who originally acquired the car lost the manual and the second key so now I have to drive 2hrs+ down to San Diego on a WEEK DAY to set up the second key. And if I were to set it up at another dealership here in Los Angeles, as it is nearly impossible to have a day trip just to get a second key if you have a 9-6 job like me unless you take a day off, I have to pay $400 OUT OF MY POCKET because they are not affiliated with any dealerships here. This incident alone is very frustrating and does not make much sense from a customer perspective, but what bothers me the most is their lack of communication and accountability; they never gave me a call or a single apology for the whole situation. Jinnel and Sasha keep deflecting accountability by implying that they are only doing what they are told to do, this is beyond their control, thus not their fault. So whose fault is this? And why do I have to be the one who reminds everyone that this is not done yet. I was very happy when I purchased my car from this dealership and it is really unfortunate that my experience here has been tarnished by this aftermath.P.S. Finance division never picked up my calls, called me back, or emailed me back for a time-sensitive question I desperately needed to ask.

I made an appointment for service over the phone and they didn’t tell me that it would take 4 days!!! I came with my 2 month old baby. They couldn’t even run a diagnostic to see why the check engine light was on. I would literally never come back here for any reason. If I could give zero stars I absolutely would.

Beware of the service department at KMF. I paid $190 diagnostic fee and was quoted another $818 to replace the wire and connector for the right rear O2 sensor on my F150 with 38k miles that was chewed through by a bunny. That's $1000 to put it on the lift, crimp three wires and plug a connector in.I came home and ordered the genuine Ford part for $40. Should take about an hour this weekend.I plan to send this quote to the BBB and CA BAR in hopes it helps stop them from doing this to other people.

Took my car in for a failed smog check due to oxygen monitor issues.I had purchased their extended warranty so I figured I'd just drop it off. Unfortunately, at first they told me to just keep driving, and that I was just being impatient (spoiler alert, I wasn't).I dropped my car off and first told them I needed it back on Sunday. Sunday rolls around and it turns out their service department had closed, now I couldn't get my car for a big drive I needed to do. Really annoying no one called or followed up for me to pick up my car.Apparently over those 6 days all they had done was drive it and charge me for gas. Which did nothing (no surprise). I picked my car up for the weekend, and dropped it back on Monday for 2 weeks in a row. At this point they had had my car for about 14 days. And they finally said they found a computer update.Post Update, I drove 300 miles with no change. Finally they admitted there might be an issue and we need to replace the sensor. Great, I thought naively... Well I dropped my car off, a week goes by and no one calls me so finally I call them back, and they haven't even started doing anything! Turns out you have to be on these guys or they aren't going to work on your car. Daily calls expedited progress. But the worst is yet to come. While they are working on my O2 sensor. Apparently the part where the sensor goes into my catalytic converter "Broke Off", magically. Then they tried to charge me to replace that part too! Right after they had broken it! Scammers. They ultimately found a way to not charge me (good thing). And finally got the work done in a timely manner as I was calling every day.Got my car back after they had had the car for over 20 days! Smog check has since passed.Ultimately a 2 stars since this was over a 2-month ordeal where they had my car for almost 3 weeks. Trying to scam me for a part they broke and wasting a ton of my time. But not giving them a one star because the desired outcome was achieved, part is fixed and only paid my deductible and a couple headaches. Their Lyft pickup and drop-off is very convenient for all the times I had to use it.If your going to work with this Ford I recommend taking your service advisors card and calling regularly to keep them on-top of your vehicle. They will completely ignore any calls that aren't from a direct line so calling the number for the service department is useless.
