The staff was amazing. We had a 88 year old mobility impaired guest and there were not inaccessible rooms available. They were able to move another guest who did not need the services to accommodate us. They went way out of their way to accommodate us as well as other guests and were extremely attentive to everyone's needs.Noteworthy details: The staff was amazing. 3 small pillows for a king size bed. Paint tape everywhere in the room including covering the smoke alarm. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because of the reasonable price and good location.

Excellent stay! Beautiful new room, and quiet. Great customer service. Clean parking lot, no homeless, no weird smells. Construction was only from 9am to 6pm if any, we missed it due work.

Horrible manager there is a sad short man that is obviously insecure in his personal life. The second he feels like he has any power or control he turns down right rude and evil. Pay the extra $20-50 to stay at sonesta es carmel mountain much better breakfast customer service rooms and accommodating friendly staff. Way worth it. I didn't believe it ar first and I love saving money but not this time won't make that mistake again. Find out for yourself or save the headache. Book sinesta es carmel mountain.

Name La Quinta Miramar but it's not even in the same zip code as Miramar leading to some confusion. Other than that, great hotel for the price. Room look brand new.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. It all started great until I noticed the bathroom wasn’t fully renovated. My husband woke up to have a snack that he left on the coffee table in front of our couch only to find ants swarming the whole table. He filed a complaint to the front desk and he had the audacity to tell him he was messy. I went then proceeded to ask him myself what he told my husband since also miscommunicated which room he moved us to and he told me he told him that the ants came in because food was left on the table. Good to know food isn’t safe on the coffee table… Our “Do not disturb” sign kept falling off so I was interrupted in middle of the morning. Wish I looked at the google reviews before booking this place. Not sure how this place is still open. It should be shutdown and solve the issues since they have multiple consistent problems.Safety: The renovations look like a safety hazard.

Hotel has been undergoing rehab for many months. I’m not sure they are following code. The only light switch as you enter turns on the light on the nightstand, but doesn’t work if the light has been turned off by the bed. Came back to the room to tiny ants crawling all over my pillow and bed.The seal around the door was not installed correctly and you can see the outside. Right next to the highway. Loud

Place felt safe. Room was large. Bed was a bit on the harder side for me, but that's just personal preference. It looked cleaned when we arrived. Did find a hair behind the faucet and in the shower wall so it wasn't as clean as expected. Blackout curtains are nice. Door however has gaps that make it very noisy when people are walking by or just talking. You feel like you are in the middle of their conversation. Gentleman that checked us in was very pleasant.

If you're looking for Motel 6 level of quality accommodations at a La Quinta price point, this is your place. Recently remodeled but a very bad job, unfinished tile, places missing tile and the outside of the building is hideous, and something you'd expect from a low budget motel. This place is a big zero, WAAAAY over priced and a huge disappointment. We actually felt taken advantage of and ripped-off! I chose to stay here because of the brand reputation and the fact they serve a hot breakfast (but not here)... We arrived to our room that had the main big round light burned out by the bed. I called the front desk to see if they could replace the bulb and was told they didn't have any light bulbs and they could move my room. We had just arrived after driving in overnight, 2000 miles, so not wanting to do one more thing, we stayed in the room & decided to just deal with only the vanity bathroom light as all we wanted to do, was sleep. Our room also had no hand soap left for us, no lotion, no hair dryer, no shampoo or conditioner in the three canisters attached to the shower wall and if that wasn't bad enough, the bedspread was dirty and there was someone else's funky dirty socks left under the front of the bathroom vanity! The next morning going to get coffee we found out theres NO hot breakfast being served, your options are a plastic wrapped danish, oatmeal packet, banana, orange, or waffles or French toast and English muffins that someone has placed in ziplock bags! What kind of La Quinta is this?! As we were leaving, housekeeping was standing outside on the floor above ours loudly chatting with each other cussing and swearing like sailors f-ing this, f-ing that, among other expletives. So unprofessional for this brand hotel. I mentioned all of the problems to whom claimed to be the manager at the front desk and he told me he would speak to his higher ups about this issue and get back to me, which he never did. I've yet to hear back as of me writing this review. One and done for me, I'd never stay here again. The hotel is set up "motel style" so all of the rooms are outside. It's very tacky. The parking lot is cramped as it is, and they had two big metal storage bins taking up some spots and then they had another section coned off so you couldn't park in them. All of the above is unacceptable for this brand of hotel, I would never stay here again, nor would I recommend this location to anyone. Unless of course, you want to overpay for motel 6 style accommodations, then go for it.

Not surprising that it's a 2-star review. Housekeeping didn't even step into the room to see if anything was needed. And when I called the front desk to ask for a roll of toilet paper, the person at the front desk said, "I have plenty of toilet paper, here. You're welcome to come pick some up."Should I just clean the room while I'm at it?Rooms: Dirty room.

Newly renovated room (handicap), clean and big enough to suit our needs. USB charging ports in the electrical outlets at bedside, mini fridge & microwave. Excellent staff and service, they were very friendly and accommodating, responsive to our needs. Breakfast was a boon to this weary traveler.A few bumps ~ renovation is ongoing, so expect workers and noise during the day. Please take bags to the pet run and clean up after your pet: there were no bags in the holder. Also, be wary of glass in the parking lot edges.Yes, we will return.

I would not recommend staying here unless you really just looking for a cheap place to stay. My wife went to San Diego for a bachelorette party and wanted me to get a room down there so I could pick her up when party was over. I found the closet hotel to the house that was hosting the bachelorette party think La Quinta are decent hotels. Well they sure aren't like what I remember. As soon as I pulled in to the hotel, not even out of my car yet, I knew I made a mistake. I thought my wife isn't going to like this place.Once I got into the lobby it was pretty torn up but you could tell they are renovating so I have no complaints about the lobby. Renovations have to be done eventually so something businesses just have to do. People were friendly and got my and got my key card quickly so no issues with check inOnce I got to the room it was ok. You can tell it was recently renovated. But I have to say the quality was pretty bad. I was just hoping they weren't complete yet. Big gap around front door allowing quite a bit of light in, missed areas of paint, baseboard tile not complete in the bathroom, hole in bedframe that made no sense why it was there.Once I picked up my wife and arrived at hotel I was correct about how my wife would feel about this place. We stayed the one night but my wife said no to staying the second night so we left the next morning for home even though we paid for the second night. If you're looking for a place that is inexpensive then this is the place, otherwise I'd recommend paying a little more money
