I was looking for a gift for my sister and considering I know nothing about makeup, I was pretty lost in the store. Denise was very helpful with finding a few things for her. She was super nice and patient with me. Great experience overall

Disappointing Customer Experience at MAC Makeup Store
My recent visit to the MAC makeup store left me disheartened and dissatisfied with the level of service provided by one of their employees. Despite seeking assistance in selecting a foundation, the encounter turned sour due to the rude and unprofessional behavior of the attendant.
Throughout the consultation, the employee's demeanor was far from accommodating. Rather than offering constructive advice, she resorted to derogatory remarks, deeming the shades I preferred as inappropriate and even went as far as to label one as making me appear like a "ghostie." Such comments not only lacked tact but also contributed to an uncomfortable atmosphere, leaving me feeling judged and invalidated in my choices.
Reluctantly, I ended up purchasing the foundation she recommended, only to realize later that it did not meet my expectations. Regrettably, the experience has deterred me from returning to this MAC store, as the encounter left a lasting impression of disdain.
As a communication specialist, I emphasize the importance of empathy, compassion, professionalism, and cultural competence in customer interactions, particularly in matters concerning personal appearance. It is imperative for MAC employees to undergo workshops to enhance their understanding and sensitivity towards diverse customer needs and preferences.
In conclusion, my encounter at the MAC makeup store was marred by the insensitive and unprofessional conduct of the staff member, highlighting the need for comprehensive training to ensure a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all patrons.

Call me a basic b@&ch - but I'll always be a fan MAC cosmetics. After all it was my first expensive make up line I ever bought when I started making a little more money. They are a lot of great other brands out there but I rarely go wrong when I go to MAC. This particular location is nice because you can hit other spots like Victoria's Secret and Sephora (basic b&$ch stuff) in outing. For the most part, I always get good service there. Especially the last time & this trip. I do not remember the beautiful young lady that helped me last time. This time, though I was helped so graciously by a young man named Richie. Richie and his coworker. Sheyenne were so friendly and enthusiastic about the MAC products. Nonetheless, both had bomb make up on.

I asked an employee for a product and she said "I will be with you in a second"...she continued to ignore me and helped other people who came in the store after me. Not one employee came to help me. They do not pay attention to people who enter that store. I saw two teenage girls shoplift some items and run off while the employees were nowhere to be found. I also gave an employee my info for my account at checkout and she said that I did not have one which is odd because I have used Mac products for years. I then said okay so let's create an account to which she replied that they did not have the freebie for people who were opening an account and that I should come back later to open one.

The Mac store at Fashion Valley mall has never had good customer service. But it’s actually worst then before. They no longer have the recycling program and there was only one person in the sales floor. She greeted me but she didn’t grab any coworkers to help out on the sales floor. Someone came out from the back and I said hi and she just looked at me. I wanted to purchase a lipstick and lip liner but since no one wanted to help I left. The was also another woman waiting and I don’t know how long she was there before me. I would be surprised if the Fashion Valley Mac goes out of business. This would never happen at Sephora
