Great selection of discounted and overstocked Macy's Department Store items. The Womens and Childrens merchandise are in abundance. Sadly, the Men's department has super low inventory. The home "Last Act" section has some nice items. There is also a good selection of Women's Shoes as well. The customer service is great in the Women's Section. The ladies are very helpful.

Please be vigilant of the price on the tag vs what they ring up!! We were on a mission to find a dress, arrived 40 minutes before closing. My daughter tried on a several before finding one. I eventually picked one off the rack with a couple of minutes to spare before closing. I figured I could bring it back if I didn't like the way it fit. The dress was a DKNY dress, price on tag was $179.99. I didn't notice until we got home that the dress rang up at $199.00. When I asked my boyfriend if he hadn't noticed it while paying he said he pointed out the price discrepancy to the sales rep and was told that whatever rang up was the correct price. He didn't offer to adjust the price to match what was on the tag. Fast forward to the day we returned the dress. When speaking to the customer service rep she told us that what had happened was illegal, the price cannot be more than the tag on the dress. We were refunded the $199.00 plus tax. Macy's your reputation is failing, your own employee informed us that what occurred was illegal. The sales associate in question needs to be retrained and informed that what he did is a unlawful practice, commonly referred to as "false pricing". Do better Macy's! I'll wait for a reply to provide you with the name of the employee that needs to be better informed.

I was in need of a dining room set and found one that would work at Macy's Home Furnishings. It wasn't the cheapest set out there, but it was what we were looking for. Since receiving it the chair legs have come loose every few weeks and one even splintered and fell off. The hardware fell out of one of the legs also. We bought the extended warranty and they consider that normal wear and tear. Buyer beware!!

By far the WORST customer service we have ever experienced. To begin, we purchased our custom couch in early January of 2023. At that time there was a "promotional deal" which entailed a 24-month 0% financing option which was great considering this couch cost nearly 4,000 dollars. We patiently waited at the store for almost 2 hours as our sales associate Khalil completed the transaction and were told the couch would take 2-3 months max for delivery. Fast forward 5 months and we had still not received our couch, not to mention there was absolutely no follow-up from Macy's or updates from Khalil regarding this extreme delay. The worst part is that we were making payments online from our purchase date, not to mention accruing interest on a couch we had not yet received. The "promo" deal had not even been applied and wouldn't until receipt of the couch. Again, this was never communicated to us by Khalil during purchase of the couch. After several painful calls to customer service listening to automatic voice prompts and finally getting connected to a real person, we received an email to schedule delivery, which was surprisingly somewhat of an easy process. Our delivery was now set and we were eager to finally get our couch and put this all behind us. On the delivery day we even received text updates which was all very reassuring except when the delivery men arrived with only half of our couch. The entire chaise was missing, they claimed it was left at the factory in Los Angeles but would be arriving either same day or next. Come to find out the chaise was actually ripped in transit, beyond repair and therefore was unable to be delivered, we would need to re-order the entire missing piece. Again, the worst part was that no one from Macy's even gave us the courtesy of a heads-up prior to the delivery. Ultimately, we once again dealt with customer service for hours out of the day, canceled a donation pick-up of our old couch and finally got in touch with the manager Fabian who was overall patronizing and non-committal regarding timing of a new delivery. We then heard back approximately 3 days later from Khalil that there was no way to expedite delivery of a new chaise even considering it was the warehouse's fault for damaging the product to begin with. The delivery would now take an additional 3 months, but Macy's would compensate us with a measly 400.00 "for our time and inconvenience." That was when we kindly declined and said we would be taking our business elsewhere. We then started the return process which was nothing short of a nightmare. Multiple calls again to customer service and then Khalil who initially acted like he would help us, Fabian the manager couldn't even bother to return our calls. Fabian and Khalil never rectified this situation to ensure that the refund was applied. We again called customer service a total of 4 times explaining that we still hadn't received our refund, when we were told it would be applied in 5-7 business days. At one point the customer service representative even stated our previous call was disconnected which is why the refund wasn't received, none of this was true. Today, nearly 2 months later and we finally received our refund. We are disgusted by the gross incompetence and unprofessionalism by Macy's staff and corporation. Perhaps Macy's was a better company decades ago, now it seems like bureaucracy at its worst and an overall failing company. To treat customers this way is simply unacceptable, take your business elsewhere.

I am warning costumers to BEWARE of Macys Ultimate Plan Warranty, when buying Furniture.... They try to sell you this as a Bullet proof 5 yr. Warranty on your furniture you buy. I spent 248.00 on a warranty truthfully non existent. When I bought the furniture, the sales man told me about this program that sounded like you couldn't lose. If you don't use it in 5 years the money comes back to you, in a store credit for 248.00. This all sounds way to easy. The problem is that Macys is contracting this with a pretty much Creepy and fraudulent Co. They call themselves Warranty Services, or Furniture Solutions Network. The problem started when I was cleaning my Leather Recliner and put my hand under the Foot of the chair. The material covering the underneath areas. The material started Flaking off in my hand, and all over the floor. I called the warranty service, and a women agreed to write up the claim. Most of the women that take these claims from you can barely speak fluent English. I waited 2.5 hrs. for a repairman to come take a look at the chair. The chair was turned on its backside for the repair. The repairman was taking a lot of photos, and started fixing the foot area. the guy was trying to blame this on sun exposure. How can this be sun exposure if its underneath the chair. I started to point out that the material completely under the chair was disincarnating. The workman got nasty with me and said, stop touching the material, and tried to say that I was tearing it. He then told me that all he was going to do is fix the foot, and I was going to have to make another appointment. I told him that I I don't have time to a couple of hours for a repairman again. I was not able to turn the chair over and to see the entire damage before I made the claim. The repairman walked outside to call his boss, who told him to leave. He left the chair on the backside and just left. The company called several times, trying to come back and fix the rest of it. I was so pissed off, I told them that I was trying to see what Macys was going to do. A nice salesman Scott G. tried to get Macys to get me an exchange. The guy meant well, but took over a month, and after speaking with this boss, and his boss. the only thing they offered me was a 15% off if I bought a new one. Now this Fraudulent repair Co. won't fix the chair, and Macys won't do anything about . BUYERS BEWARE. I'll se all of them in Small claims Court..... Thanks for nothing Macys and their Fraudulent Repair Co.....

I had a wonderful experience at this store! I needed to buy a suitcase for an upcoming trip and was immediately greeted by someone who pointed me in the right direction. The woman working in the luggage department was very kind and didn't try to oversell me anything; she wanted to make sure I was happy with the suitcase that met my needs. I'll be coming back for future purchases!

Went to Macy's furniture to search for mattresses. If I could give the experience less than one star I would. Went to mattress section. Customer service was awful. Michael the floor rep was haughty and arrogant. I left the store and went across the street to Mattress Firm, and spent $6000. I suspect Macy's furniture San Diego is losing money with this guy...what a customer service turn off.

I guess Macy's doesn't think the bathroom is a part of the home considering they barely have any bath items in their "home" store. You'd be better off shopping online. Also, I had to interrupt a lively conversation between three salespeople to ask where this almost non-existent bath section was... they saw me but were having too much fun to ask if I needed assistance.

Let me start off by saying we have purchased furniture in the past so we're customers. We were just treated so poorly by a furniture sales person named Armaund. After spending 30 minutes with him and asking him several times what is the bottom line price after everything, shipping tax, etc. He shows me on his calculator $7,301 and change. I ask him several times and he tells me yes. I told him go ahead and put it in writing. Then he comes back at me with over $8k! I said what is this? He tells me the price. I told him that's not what you told me earlier. Then he tells me that I'm being "argumentative!" No problem buddy. Here's your negative review you've just earned. Good job my friend. Way to go.

My wife and I went in here just because we had some time to kill before our movie screening. We happened to see a small desk and book shelf, on sale near a wall. We bought them, and the person helping us couldn't have been better. He kind of looked and sounded like Ed Helms, with a great, dry sense of humor. It made the experience all the better.

Never heard of this store within Macy's. My wife dragged me in here of course. I guess there are several of them located inside most Macy's stores. The store is very clean and organized not like a Ross or Marshalls with items scattered everywhere and the shopping experience is more intended for a swap meet shopper. This place is really starting to take shape on par with the other big three Designer discount stores in Mission Valley such as Off Saks, Bloomingdales Outlet & Nordstrom's Rack. They feature some nice hugh end stuff even Valentino purses at a great price. Hope my wife doesn't see it. The shoe racks are well stocked and organized. The help was spotty but when we did get help it was pretty good. Well I have seen everything here now and my wife is still shopping. I guess I will shop for Golf shirts now.

This place is the WORST PLACE I've EVER SHOPPED at!!! They have incompetent personnel and management that leaves something to be desired!! I placed an order for some furniture to be delivered, a sofa , table and 6 chairs. The delivery charge was $271. I canceled the table and 6 chairs and they told me the delivery charge was $201!!!!!! I paid them in cash for the original order but when I asked for my refund they told me it would take 6-10BUSINESS DAYS!!!!! I then asked for an itemized receipt which had to be approved by the corporate office!!!? I personally will NEVER BUY OR REFER ANYONE TO GO TO MACY HOME AND FURNITURE IN MISSION VALLEY!!! I will now proceed to the better business bureau and lodge a complaint!!

Just wanted to give a HUGE shout out to an awesome employee named Jane who has been at Macy's for over 35 years and has a guiding star badge on. She went above and beyond to help me at Macy's home furniture in the bedding section. She was so friendly and nice and really knew her stuff! She knew about thread counts and percale and fitting for extra deep mattresses. I was really impressed how knowledgeable she was and how friendly and sweet she was to boot. It really made shopping here a wonderful experience. I ended up buying more than I came in for in the end including an entirely new sheet set and some other things for my girlfriend's birthday present. Retail therapy at its best. Keep up the great work Marcy's Hime store and thank you Jane!
