BestBuy delivery people left this damaged box and microwave with shattered front panel. They hid the damage, placing the damaged side of the box against the wall. Unbelievable! Worst appliance delivery experience in 30 years.

Not worth 1 star. The manager is sitting at the front door, too busy to even say hello, much less, answer a question, or provide customer service. Simply telling a customer "over there under the blue sign, if we even have it!!!! " THEN he continues to sit watching me as I walk in circles!!! Do not waste your time or money on this location. The only saving grace was the employee that finally helped me! Maybe replace the manager that's sitting, too busy, rude, unaware of the stores items, or didn't care to be bothered, etc, with the employee that actually wanted to help a customer. I can't imagine how he treats others! How would he have treated my elderly mother??? Oh, and as I left, NOT A SINGLE WORD, not a goodbye, thank you, NOTHING! The store had maybe 5 customers there, so he can't blame (or scapegoat) his behavior on too many customers or another employee. Horrible experience!

I have bought many computers and other electronics here. I have their TotalTech rewards which gives me great benefits and return policy. Staff are usually very friendly. But definitely clock-in clock-out mentality and won't help is their shift is almost over.

DO NOT go here for Apple product service! I made an appointment several days ago to have the battery changes on my IPhone. I called ahead to make sure the Geek Squad could perform that service. I was told it would be no problem and would take a couple hours. When I arrived, I stood in line (despite having an appointment) and was finally called late. It took 20 minutes to check the phone in, was told that if they accidentally broke a battery clip it would have to be sent to Apple for repair (7 to 10 days) and it would take 5 hours. Mark, the manager, said there was only one technician there, he was working on someone else's phone, then had to take lunch and the 5 hour timeline would be the best they can do. I explained that I live a long way from the store and planned to wait (called in advance) and his response was to ask why I picked a store so far away! Based on other reviews and previous less than satisfactory experience with Best Buy, I should have expected this kind of "service" but it was the first available appointment I could make. My recommendation is to wait for an appointment at Apple. Don't waste your time at Best Buy.

Was in there a few weeks ago; things have really gone downhill. They used to have pretty good staff, but Best Buy is failing. They laid off a lot of talent in 2020, and they just laid off thousands of store employees across the country. This has led to a loss of talent in sales and customer service. Remaining employees are over-worked and stressed, yelling at customers, and overall seem miserable. Well, they had a good run and outlasted Circuit City, Fry's, and even Radio Shack. I used to go here for everything from appliances to USB cables. Now my money goes to Amazon. If a BB can't survive in La Jolla and near a university, they really are in rough shape. RIP BB LJ.

We ordered a refrigerator with a 10% coupon. However the orders got canceled by BestBuy without a reason. Ideally BestBuy should give us a new coupon for other orders. The BestBuy customer service was very rude and didn't offer us a new coupon. They said the coupon was used and could not be offered again. That is ridiculous. If you don't want to let customer use a coupon then don't offer it.

Terrible customer service at the customer service desk. I would NOT go back to Best Buy La Jolla location again. If I were you, go elsewhere. There are other Best Buy in San Diego where you will be treated well.

Horrible customer service from the "manger" Jerad. I have an item return and Best Buy policy is 15 days however when I purchased it they say we will able to refund you the item back since I'm gonna be out of the country and Jerard told me it will ok to refund you if you explained urself which I did when I returned on day 16 only I found Jerard is refusing to return the item. Savthe headache and go buy whatever you want from somewhere else atleast you won't deal with cheap low customer service.

I use this to send my online orders to and pick them up after work to save money on shipping. Staff is friendly and the location is nice and clean. Only took a star away because my last funko purchases they placed the stickers on the box and it was a easy peel off but caused a little scratching on one of my funkos taking it off . But like I said it's not a big deal

I bought two TVs from Best Buy and both were broken but on the second TV they wouldn't want to return it or return my money back. The TV had no physical damage to it but they assumed based on their expert analysis (visually) that I caused damage to the TV. Assumptions with no evidence because the TV could have been pressed upon or defected with or without me. It wasn't tested when or before I left the store. It was broken and I didn't apply any pressure to it's screen at all.

Horrible experience at this BestBuy. My fiancé and I were coming back to San Diego and ordered a graphics card for in store pick up. The estimated time for pick up is 1 hour, perfect timing! When we arrived at the store, my fiancé showed customer support his pickup info and they asked him to wait for 5 minutes. 5 minutes became one hour, one hour suddenly became 3 hours. I walked to Ross, Marshall's, and world market and came back with 2.5 hours to spare. We received a call from someone in the verification center (?) the call was returned, however they stated that the office is only open Monday to Friday. Hmmm how weird? How was someone from BestBuy able to contact us, instructing us to give them a call back within 3 hours, but not answer the phone? The value of the graphics card is around $1.3k, why is there some b******* system when I've spent way more at BestBuy and have had NO problems at all? Moving on to the store experience: 3 geek squad members "tried their best" to see what they can do for us. They were unprofessional, uneducated in regards to this verification process, and honestly dragged it out. They assured us that it'll be ready within 5 minutes and suddenly changed the story to "Uh I don't know how long it'll take." We would've just left and came back tomorrow if we were told beforehand. The lack of proper education isn't a show of their characters, but the BestBuy company as a whole. PLEASE educate your employees. The only DECENT experience we had in the store was the DYSON representative, who again isn't working for BestBuy. Okay after waiting for 2.5 hours, we attempted to contact BestBuy support. We described the situation to the man on the phone, who later transferred us to someone who had more knowledge on graphic cards. WHICH is irrelevant to our situation. We wanted to know what was going on with the system and have not even seen the card, so why would we need to be transferred to someone specializing in these cards. Transfer was made after waiting for 10 additional minutes. We spoke to a woman afterwards. She handled the situation professionally, however she was rambling on about the order of our status and didn't answer any of my questions. It felt like I was going in circles with this woman for 15 minutes. We decided to just call it a day and head home. This has been my worst experience at Best Buy ever and don't intend on staying a loyal customer. I know Fry's is no longer here with us, but the auto we service there has never been troubling. I just don't personally believe in a business that doesn't educate their employees which leads to angry customers. I was never rude throughout the process, however I can see how others can go bonkers.
