I didn’t eat because I ate about 20 minutes before I stopped in. The brick oven caught my eye and I had a few minutes to kill and wanted a beer. The selection of beer was limited but for a pizza eater that knows what one likes with their beer. Uber clean dining and galley. The masters know what they are doing. If I had a 3rd thumb, it would be up.Kid-friendliness: No sharp corners.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy

Don’t pass up this locally owned pizza shop. Definitely worth making it your go-to pizza/salad/boneless wings spot for lunch, dinner, and late night munchies. The owner and his wife are lovely, kind people; but they’re also talented pizza makers. This power duo operates a clean shop with classic pizza parlor favorites, like bones wings, salads, beer, and of course— pizza. I would describe the flavor of the pizza as Pizza Hut in the 90s, back when the Hut actually cared about making good, no-nonsense American-style pizza, with a thin and crispy crust. The ingredients? Fresh and tasty. The service? Fast and friendly. The pies? Simple and delicious. The only reason we didn’t come here sooner is because the exterior is designed and branded in a way that makes it look like this location is franchised, ie, not a local shop. They also market themselves as “innovative” and a “healthier alternative to fast food” which may be true for those who order salad, but I don’t think there’s anything remarkably “innovative” or “healthy” about the pizza and wings we had— and that’s perfectly fine in my book. In an oversaturated market of fusion and next-generation cuisine in San Diego, I say If pizza ain’t broke, don’t try to fix it.

The BEST gluten free pizza I have ever had! Plus the husband and wife owners were both working and incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. I had the BBQ chicken pizza and the Italian Cheese Dip - both were super delicious! We even got free samples of desserts before we left. Make is a MUST if you are in San Diego!Dietary restrictions: We were able to eat gluten free with no issues and it was delicious!

Nice atmosphere, amazing food, even more amazing service. I’d let the bosses delivery my baby if I could get pregnant. It’s hard to outshine how great the food is but I mean it when I say they’ve consistently had the best service I’ve ever had in my entire life for anything ever, not even just restaurants. Super varied menu for food and drinks, they’re also super accommodating! It blows my mind that there isn’t a line out the door 24/7

The pizza is really good, I like how everything here is made to order. But what really stood out to me was the service. Terry M is one of the best front-end people a store or restaurant could have. He was really cheerful, pleasant, and attentive. I just ordered to-go but he asked if I wanted any water while I waited and made made some small talk that made me feel welcome. It's not often I would leave a review about a fast-casual restaurant, but top notch service always deserves recognition!

I have celiac disease, in other words a gluten allergy, and their order system didn’t include my note about it, so there was bread on my salad and I couldn’t eat it. They remade the order right away and apologized, and then told me how they make their gluten free pizza with careful preparation practices - separate pizza cutter and screen to cook on! I’m excited to try this the next time I come back, and as a local San Diego Mom & Pop restaurant, it always feels good to support the community!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Recommended for gluten free!I had lunch here and ordered a small pizza with a salad. I was surprised by the crunchiness and the taste of the pizza — to be honest. They master their gluten-free menu.Dietary restrictions: They have several gluten-free options.

I got the shareable pizza and chicken alfredo on a walk-in takeout order. The place was clean and staff was super nice. Order was ready in less than 15 minutes. Food tasted great, and they even included some extra cookies for Valentine's Day. Super great place, I would definitely recommend!

I ordered catering from Make for a large event I was holding around the corner. We ordered around 18 pizzas including some gluten-free and vegan options, meatballs, and two catered salads. The food was a huge hit--even the gluten-free folks were happy! The owner Terry was incredibly helpful and friendly and made sure I was ordering the right amount and variety of items for my crowd. And they provided us everything we needed and then some. I highly recommend in general and for catered events! Thanks, Terry!!Dietary restrictions: Good for gluten-free and dairy-free

Everything about this restaurant was fantastic, originally picked this spot due to other reviews talking about the gluten free and dairy free/vegan cheese because my partner has allergies. MAKE delivered in everyway. We got separate pizzas and they loved the gluten free crust and vegan cheese, which was prepared separately with consideration for cross contamination (my partner had no indication of any amount of allergic reaction after eating here). My pizza with the standard crust was delicious and I ended up eating more in the sitting than I was intending too initially, but was so worth it. The atmosphere was phenomenal and the staff were lovely. Very much planning more visits here in the near future.

I visited MAKE during a conference for work and was blown away by the food and service. I have a gluten and dairy allergy, and though it is common for pizza places to have gluten-free crusts, MAKE also has dairy-free cheese! Not only was this the first pizza I had in a year or more, but it was phenomenal. I'll definitely be coming back when I visit San Diego again.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free and dairy-free friendly
