Mister G’s Salsa is the first Salsa Tasting Room in San Diego, located in the middle of the Miralani Makers District near Miramar. It is a cute, clean place with seating, a restroom, drinks, games, and a TV, serving as a cool hangout. They offer a unique salsa experience with 14 salsas on tap daily and a 15th rotating seasonal flavor. The menu features salsa flights and many other menu items all infused with their salsas, laid out from least to most spicy. The salsa is consistently described as the best, amazing, really good, great, delicious, quality, and restaurant-style. It is noted for being fresh, perfectly salted, delightfully spicy, and focusing on flavor rather than being overly spicy. Specific highlights include the black pepper habanero, a perfect blend of flavor and spice, and the Serrano, which has great flavors and the right amount of spice. The shrimp ceviche is also praised as really good. Prices are a great reason to visit, described as very fair, affordable, and blowing anything else out of the water. Even full-priced products cost less than national brands. They often have awesome deals and specials. The staff is friendly and cool to talk to. Parking in the lot can fill up fast, so street parking is sometimes better. They are open on weekends and possibly Fridays, and are also present in many local breweries.
