I didn’t take photos before entering the room, but it’s impressively clean and well-maintained. The recent renovations and new management are evident, with someone inspecting the rooms after cleaning. The breakfast was fantastic, offering a variety of options—eggs, patties, waffles, muffins, bagels, yogurt, and coffee—all impeccably organized and clean. This hotel is clearly committed to high standards and putting in a commendable effort. While the hotel isn’t situated in an ideal area, they’ve taken proactive measures by enclosing the entire property, implementing security cameras, and ensuring a strong security presence.

The deposit used to be 50 but now is 100$ BUT they just redid all the rooms & the lobby. The rooms are very nice now, their basically furnished studio apartments. The manager is so cool, he will help you out with pretty much any accommodations you need. Best manager of any hotel I've been to!

The rooms where very nice. Pretty clean honestly. However the neighborhood is very sketchy and made us feel unsafe until we got into our room. The men at the front where rather rude as well. You get what you pay for so I’m not too upset

Hair and dirt on the sheets, cigarette holes and what seems to be a crusty cum stain on the blankets. The floors in the room are so gross it feels like you're walking on mud when barefoot, turned my feet black instantly. Was clearly recently remodeled because there are stacks of hundreds of old mattresses and container dumpsters in the parking lot. Makes me wonder if there were bed bugs here because their bed frames are new metal ones, new vinyl floors, fresh paint, and from other reviews it seems like theyve been remodeling every few months for years. Very very suspicious.Parking is impossible and very tiny spaces. No coffee or toiletriesLast thing. I saw the security guard come out of a random room looking super sketch AND HE WAS PULLING UP HIS PANTS, BUTTONING THEM, AND BUCKLING HIS BELT. WTTFFF did not make me feel safe.

It was the worst place we stayed in the United States. We arrived at the hotel during the night (we had a long journey) and when we went to check in we found out that our 3-day reservation had been cancelled. The attendant said he could fit us into a room and that it would cost us half the price of the reservation we had made. Total nonsense. We had no option and we accepted. The hotel facilities are filthy. As we walked down the hallway, we kept bumping into rubbish (including a used diaper). Our room had a bad smell and our sheets were dirty and with holes (as you can see in the photos below). All in all, it was a bad experience. I don't recommend it to anyone.

I'm going to give this place four and a half stars out of five stars. The only reason I don't give it five is because they didn't have a place to hang clothes but since they are remodeling I think that is the reason. The location is off the beaten path but still very close to Ocean Beach only a 6 minute drive not bad at all and the rooms were immaculately clean. The front desk were very nice ladies and so were housekeeping services plus it was quiet and a pretty darn decent place to rest our heads considering the price.

Like another reviewer said, neighborhood is sketchy, but parking lot seems to be well secured. Tight parking spaces. There is a parking garage and my car couldn't fit. It fits cars of max height 6' 6". Internet signal is weak. Rooms are decent, clean, and big. If you need a quick place to sleep in, this is the pace.

Straight Garbage. The front desk clerk was very rude and looked like she didn't want to be there. I had an emergency and needed my room earlier than 3pm, four people checked out in front of me and she refused to accommodate or try to assist.

Very sketchy area. Located next to a strip bar and an adult bookstore. A few homeless people nearby and possibly some drug dealers. There's a security guard at the entrance. Now to the hotel itself. Definitely a Motel 6. The room smelled a little musky but after running A/C for a bit, smell went away. Beds are a bit firm and pillows were soft. No carpet in room which is a plus, since it could be kept cleaner. Restroom is remodeled with good water pressure. Refrigerator in room was descent. Television was a little old with poor picture. I stayed on the 3rd floor, so I didn't hear much noise. I could slightly hear the airplanes fly by. Elevator can take you from parking structure to the 3rd floor. Ice machine works good and is located on the 2nd floor in the middle hallway. Parking is really tight and limited. A few Parking spots in basement and if needed, you can park across the street in the Dennys parking lot. No pool or breakfast available. Lobby is small and being remodeled. Only one employee at the reception table handling everything including phone. They ask for ID'S of every single person staying there. No "Do not disturb " signs to hang on the door. There are lots of restaurants and shopping 6 minutes away and it's next to the highway. No pool either.

Hotel is conveniently located near highway and cheap. Very sketchy area though. Located next to a strip bar and an adult bookstore. A few homeless people nearby and possibly some drug dealers. There was hair in the bathtub, fruit flies in the room and masking tape holding down the floorboards. When I called the front desk about the flies, they sent a maintenance man over who offered to give me bug spray for the room. I was traveling with a small child and felt that was a very unhealthy solution to the problem. The didn’t offer to switch my room and refused a refund because they said I’d been in the room 40 minutes. 40 minutes I spent calling the front desk and waiting for the maintenance man to show up. Most uncomfortable stay anywhere I’ve ever been. No one should have to pay to sleep in a room full of flies, especially with a child. My child spent the night waving flies off of him, this was heartbreaking as a parent.

I was a little concerned about the hotel when we arrived & were driving around the neighborhood. Once on the hotel property & staying there with my college-age daughter & dog for a nice vacation; I felt more secure & was pleasantly surprised of how nice the hotel was. The double bed room was definitely big enough & was clean. There were a lot of construction workers staying at the hotel & there were those working on upgrades to the rooms - everyone was polite & felt safe at the hotel. Loved that it was also pet friendly.Rooms: Big enough for familyNearby activities: Close to numerous activities in San Diego - Zoo, Sea World, ocean

Stay away. Zero stars. Slept like a baby (a crack baby). All rooms smell like a wet dog. Not from pets though. From the moldy building. Hard to breathe inside. Seriously. Not remodeled at all. Dirty beds. Dirty bathrooms. Only a bar of soap and nothing else. Like no shampoo. Noisy industrial area. Warehouses nearby start at 6 am. Airplanes fly over all night. Loud AC units in every room. Tiny parking. Strip clubs nearby. And a homeless camp around the block. Sketchy people everywhere. Smoking area right near the windows. No breakfast or coffee or anything. Even wifi doesn't work. The list goes on. Room mold smell is the worst factor though and I'm really not all that picky. Friendly front desk and cleaners is the only plus. I don't leave many bad reviews. But this place deserves it. All other bad reviews of this motel are the same and replies to them are the same. Don't ruin your vacation here.

The bed was ok, pillows were flat, and floors were very dirty. My feet were black from walking barefoot in the room. The parking situation was a nightmare - they have additional parking in the garage, but the garage has only one way in and out so it was a mess due to people wanting to go down there to park and others wanting to exit at the same time. The entrance/exit to the garage is only one lane. They say they are pet friendly, but they really aren't. The security guard was very rude.
