I’ve been going to this nail salon for years because it’s close and convenient, and I never really had a reason to question anything, until recently. I got a full acrylic set there in early June, and when I went to a different licensed nail technician to have them removed, she told me the product used appeared to be MMA (methyl methacrylate).
MMA is a strong, harmful substance that’s banned or heavily restricted in many states due to the damage it can cause to nails and skin. The acrylics I received were extremely rigid, painful to remove, and wouldn’t soak off in acetone, all signs of MMA use. I was never told what product would be used at the time of service.
I understand how tempting it is to go somewhere out of habit or convenience, but please don’t risk your health for that. Ask questions. Make sure your salon is using safe, legal products like EMA. Your natural nails and skin are worth protecting.

Had a really good quick eyebrow wax with Wendy. They were wild brows that I hadn't touched in months and she shaped them beautifully. It was so easy and affordable I will come back regularly.

Got a gel manicure here recently for $35. Pretty reasonable price. I had to file some of nails afterwards due to sharp edges. I got my manicure on June 8th and by June 23rd they started to peel off.

Absolutely can not believe what just happened. Went in to get my acrylics removed. She started off, shaving them down and then soaking them. But while my left hand was soaking she started praying off my acrylics on my right hand she hadn't soaked yet with another acrylic nail. I told her I was in pain and she kept going. Until she sliced into the skin under my real nail ripping the top of my real nail off. Then she put that hand with exposed skin into a bag of nail remover. Then she puts drops of nail glue onto the broken nail and skin for a reason she never explained. Which could lead to an infection. NEVER GO HERE. She then charged me $15 for the removal. Absolutely horrible.

This is the third time I’ve been to the salon. I keep going back to give them more chances. They seem to be getting progressively worse. This past time, the girl that did manicure and pedicure never made eye contact with me and never spoke to me except during the middle of my appointment she told me she had to leave for 10 minutes. No explanation. My daughter saw her go in the back and wax someone’s eyebrows during my appointment. I will never return to the salon.

Had an appointment and although they were packed were able to accommodate me right away. My appointment was for pedi only but when asked if they had someone available for mani they were able to accommodate as well. Really happy with the work the ladies performed. Paid 113 for dip nails with one design on each hand and an upgraded pedi with gel nails.

Hands down, this is the best salon in San Diego because Nina is here! I'm so glad she's back in the neighborhood. My nails have needed her badly! She knows exactly how I like it. And my nails last so long with her work. And Minh works here, too. She also used to do my nails for years. As I write, my leg/foot is resting on a little fold out pedestal. Omgosh, it's ingenious! It's the coolest thing for spa pedis. Finally I can really relax and not worry about the position of my foot while they're working on it. Convenient for me and the tech for a much better experience. I love this place. They truly aim for making us comfy. And they even serve complimentary wine! I just tried the rosé and it's pretty yummy. The place is clean, organized, high tech, friendly and they do amazing work! It's my new go.
