Went in looking for a car loan, they were very helpful and explained everything as it's my first time doing anything like that. staff was super friendly and helped me get approved for more than what I requested! Awesome would definitely recommend stopping in!

so why take the coin machines out? Make it more difficult for the customers to count the coins for you ?

Tried to purchase a bank check using cash at this location. This was so problematic, the teller was unable to perform the task. They claimed their procedure required them to deposit the cash into a savings account, then withdraw the cash, then issue the bank check. Problem is my account in a business account and not a savings account and the staff at NFCU could not overcome this obstacle. Really folks? Issuing a bank check to a customer/member with a valid account who intends to pay cash is too hard? I am off to Bank of America. They can perform this task in a minute and with a smile. NFCU is a victim of their own d*** policies.

This review is not just for this branch, but for Navy Federal Credit Union as an organization. I work with a lot of young sailors who get themselves in a huge financial bind because they have too many accounts with NFCU. Once they open an account, they can easily get access to more lines or credit or loans, whether or not they can really afford to pay them back. They don't have to walk into a branch, just apply online. I have yet to see someone get denied credit or another loan. It's even more pathetic when someone asks to consolidate their loans, but NFCU doesn't educate them about not continuing to use their credit cards or accumulating more debt! For a nonprofit, I'm not at all pleased with their service. The line between NFCU and predatory lenders is getting pretty blurred.

Unfortunately, the branch is not where Google maps says it is. It's really nestled in the east corner of the south pacific beacon building. Small, but they can handle any issue.

A very small NFCU that is hidden away in the Pacific Beacon. Good service but parking is rough sometimes.

No branch navy fed on any of the other bases. An then u drive to the surface base. Where you have to ask where it is because there are no signes. Then you get there and the hrs are wrong. Not to mention you have to stand outside of the building to wait. This is classic navy.

It's in between the Pacific Beacon...Near the street side ATM. 3 tellers, 11 maximum occupancy. I had to ask where it was due to Google saying it's at the bowling alley!

No signs, no numbers, no directions, no building number, website hours not true. Better off finding one off base. Google it and see what it shows bet you still cannot find. Horrendous!

This must be the smallest on base navy federal out there, for the size of naval base San Diego a rational person would think they would have at least a descent size building with a well facilitated staff rather than just 2 tellers. Don't get me wrong the customer service is good and all but the size of thy is place is pitiful almost to a point where it will be more of an inconvenience to go on base rather than the ones off base
