I went in the Navy Federal Credit Union at 200 Catalina Blvd San Diego to open an account on 12/20/2019. My father was an enlisted man and was honorably discharged in 1956. I had his DD Form 214 in hand to show proof that my father was in the Navy. I was met by very friendly receptionist who gave me a packet to review. Within two minutes, Symphonie, the teller took me back to an office. Symphonie was very personable, pleasant, and very knowledgeable about the credit union. Within 20 minutes, I had an account opened with a debit card in hand! So far, NFCU beats any bank in town. You couldn't have a better location over looking the Pacific Ocean and parking was a breeze. If you are able to join, I would definitely recommend Navy Federal Credit Union.

Great location, accessible by public. I wasn't sure if it was on base, but it is NOT. It is very close to the base entrance. Plenty of parking. The ladies working today were very professional & helpful!

I love how Navy Federal built this fairly new small branch out here on Catalina Boulevard towards the Point Loma Light House. It has made it super convenient for members like me who work in the area. Before I would have to drive to the other side of Rosecrans or to Liberty Station which would take me atleast 35-40 minutes to and from including transaction. Now it only takes me 15 mins or less to leave my workplace, make a quick transaction and back in no time. Since the grand opening of this location, the customer service level has been nothing but a 10 out of 10! Also, the wait time for a teller or member services is the best I've seen compared to the branches in San Diego, Im guessing because it is so remote.
