The hotel location is perfect, we had an amazing ocean view to wake up to with a small patio to relax and enjoy sunset. It’s very central to pacific beach and very close to many restaurants and bars. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, very ocean, surfer, and beach themed.Hotel has a cozy pool and hot tub, paid off street parking in a structure. The breakfast is a well rounded continental breakfast with eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, and fruit.

Super cute, cozy room, with a great view of the beach and ocean. The bed was very comfortable and there were an assortment of hard and soft pillows so you could find your specific need. The location was incredible, right next to the beach, near some great bars and food options. The Uber to/from the airport was about $30, so not too bad. We walked to all the other venues during our stay. The service was great, very friendly staff and happy to get us taken care of.The one caveat was the rooms were not at all quiet. You could hear every door open or close, and people walking past and chatting. There wasn't any outside noise to speak of, and maybe we just had noisy neighbors, but it was pretty surprising. The complimentary breakfast was top tier, however. It's very rare to get such great options for a continental-type breakfast bar. Of course, the usual breakfast cereals, bagels, and other starch options, but they also offered eggs, bacon, full size and mini waffles, etc. You could definitely eat a decent breakfast and skip lunch.Walkability: Really short walk to some great bars and food venues, and you're right along the beach so it's pretty accessible.Noteworthy details: The breakfast service was incredible for being included in the price. Not just your average cold cereal, toast, and bagels, but also scrambled eggs and bacon, etc.

At this price point, I get pickier. Yes, the room is nice. Yes, you're on the beach (for those totally unfamiliar, the beach is public; pool/hot tub is private). Yes, the service people and breakfast are excellent.However;1) Parking was expensive ($35/day) for a garage with limited, narrow door-dinger spaces.2) Barn door that slides to either open or close closet or bathroom let a lot of the sound from the bathroom into the rest of the unit.3) The hotel is right next to the Firehouse Lounge. I would call the rooms 90% soundproof from letting in the thumping bass from next door. So, we didn't mind the muffled low, rhythmic sound, but I could definitely see others being bothered. Then again, if you can't beat the party, join it!If the price were lower, I'd rate it higher given the hotel's strengths. But, if we're going to pay this much a night, the bar is raised.

Loved our stay. Location was great, service was helpful, rooms were perfect. Good small pool and hot tub. Breakfast was good too. The only issue was the very expensive parking - it seemed too much. With no EV charging and the poor state of local chargers, it contributed quite a bit more stress to our vacation week.Rooms: Rooms were simple but nice, small deck, nice colorsFood & drinks: Free continental breakfast was nice, even though there are quite a few nice brunch options in the area.

I really enjoyed my short stay at Ocean Park Inn. The staff are very friendly and the location is very convenient especially if you want to explore Pacific Beach and Garnet Avenue. My room was perfect with a breathtaking ocean view, calming color palette and a spacious bathroom. I had lunch and dinner on the balcony overlooking the ocean front walk. The area is very lively and fun to explore too.

My wife and I stayed at Ocean Park Inn for 4 days in September 2023. The hotel is very clean and the staff were extremely friendly. We had an ocean side view on the 3rd floor. Listening to the sounds of the ocean at night was so peaceful. We ate the breakfast most mornings. It's a basic continential breakfast but a welcome addition. Overall everything this hotel can do to take care of there guests they do. I would give this hotel 5 stars but it is the things out of their control that make me rate it 4 stars. The night clubs / bars surrounding it lend to some late night noise and some riff raff loitering near or on hotel property. I never felt unsafe on the 3rd floor but might of if I was on the 1st floor. Being able to walk right onto the beach was amazing. I will stay here again for sure and if you're not bothered by an occasional homeless man or some people having a good time later at night I would reccommend to you. Grocery store within 1 block is very convenient.Rooms: Very clean rooms and comfortable.Nearby activities: Plenty to do and see in San Diego. We used Uber to travel to Snapdragon stadium and LaJolla. The San Diego city tour is a lot of fun also.Walkability: Great view and a safe walk along the beach.Food & drinks: Plenty of places to get food right on the board walk. Grocery store within 1 block.

Impeccably and beautiful decor . New reno with beach vibes . This family owned hotel is fabulous place to stay. Staff , essential Jennifer at front desk and Marie the housekeeper were fabulous. Jennifer was always friendly and helpful with anything we might need. Marie cleans the rooms every day and they are spotless. The staff even clean the window screens, Every morning they open the windows for fresh air and close in afternoon. The beds are very comfortable especially after walking around San Diego. The room amenities are awesome. Don’t worry about bringing hair shampoo, concealer, body wash or body lotion. They have wall hung press to get your soap etc It’s all high end productsThe breakfast is so good. Fresh bagels (5) kinds , cereals, waffles, scrambled eggs, and just right fried bacon that is very high quality. Fresh fruit too Coffee is delicious.Everyday I swam in pool in inner courtyard which has glass surrounding itIt’s accessible from the beach with shower wall before coming into pool area so shoes etc don’t track sand inside. Pool is heated to over 90 and so warm. Many lounge chairs and a hot tubPool is 4 ft both ends so good for swimming or children playingIt’s located in Pacific BeachWe used the Mission 30 bus ($2.50) to La Jolla only 20 minutes but not walkable. Wish we used the # 30 Mission Blvd bus to Midway as Lyft is approximately $30 before tip to airport or any tourist area.We used Old Town Toyrs from Old TownGreat ! But could have taken the bus # 30 to Old town trolley stationThese are things to save money for other tourist costsRooms: Extremely clean, most comfortable bed and pillows Great big tv with many choices for free, free wifi , nice balcony with big sliding California slat door and glass door and screen door. I liked the bed side lights on each side which have a flip switch on wall instead of a lamp on table that is in the way The light sits above the side table on wall. Many lighting options from floor lamps (2) and 2 light in bathroomsI liked that we didn’t change our bed the week which saves the ocean.Nearby activities: You can walk to the Werr see t beach area on boardwalk that goes all along the ocean frontThere’s a CVS and grocery store a block awayA great pizza and Italian food at Francissi and walk a couple blocks over to Handels home made ice cream. The pubs are busy with college kids etc on weekend but it wasn’t any problem. There’s a great place for T-shirt at Surf store opposite Ralph’s .Safety: Smoke detectors and sprinkler system. Also have hose on wall and charts to show exit in emergency Fire Station next doorWalkability: Many restaurants and stores all aroundFood & drinks: Great breakfast I’m hotel includedMany choices nearby or Uber eatsNoteworthy details: Exceptional sunset right out frontStaff are excellent and friendly helpfulWe’d return here definitely

The rooms are newly remodeled but the AC units are old. Our unit was not working properly and we woke up in the middle of the night hot. We notified front desk and said they would let the manager know. When we checked out there was no manager and we paid in full. 10 days later the manager never called us back. I called then and spoke to her. She was very mean and not understanding and would not even offer a partial refund. When a place has this kind of mgmt. with no regard to its customers, I would stay away from a place like this. We were repeat customers too, we will never stay there again!
