Came in to grab Spanish goodies for my birthday party. Got some Jamon for me and paella rice for the party. They had a great selection of wine and general Spanish goodies. The service was great. I high recommend a stop in. Next up is a visit to their restaurant next door!

Great hidden gem for traditional Spanish cooking supplies and food items. Iberico ham, morcia, Christmas cookies and cooking ingredients.

The authentic Spanish food products are toutstanding. Our favorites include Torres black truffle potato chips and chocolate covered figs. Pata Negra also has a great selection of wines and beer from Spain. The service is excellent and friendly which makes me feel welcome every time I visit the market. The ambiance of the market is great. It is exceptionally clean and well organized which makes shopping for food a very pleasant experience.

NEVER BUY WINE HERE!!!! I have been going to this Spanish Market for years, I wont go back there ever again. I bought a bottle of wine and the cork was bad, asked for some kind of exchange and they didnt even entertain it, let alone offer a refund or a solution. Said all sales are final and the cashier was not able to do anything. I emailed the owner and almost a week after havent heard back. They sell mostly older Spanish Riojas or Ribera del Duero which is typically a couple of years old, so you'd suspect they have some kind of policy in place. Especially since its the standard of the industry and their distributor should make whole. I WONT GO BACK EVER AGAIN!

The only place to go in San Diego for imported and authentic Spanish foods. A bit more expensive than I'd spend in Barcelona, but saves a ton on airfare! Staff is friendly and helpful if you are not familiar with the foods and how to prepare them.

i went there today. wanted to buy ham for Christmas. there was a sign advertising some ham at 33.99 the lb. not at counter. There was a client ahead of me and ordered a pound of paper thin ham. I told the clerk I wanted 2 lbs of ham of medium cut ham. well, the first client was taken care of, left and im there, waiting for my ham. I thought I would take a look at the ham, that they would even offer a sample but nope. I'm waiting there hard 15 minutes. in the Meantime, some blonde, blue eyed family with kids came and the clerk offered some candies to them, oh well. Finally he comes out of the back with my package. i get home exhausted and to find that the ham has been sliced one ply toilet paper thin. I cannot use it for h'ourdeuvres . Too much trouble to return it all the way to PB FROM Descanso. Lesson learned.

Felt like doing something different for my dad's usual bday gifts of sweaters/wallets/shoes and came here to make him a gift basket of Spanish foods to make his own charcuterie at home. everything here was of high quality and great price ranges to choose from. They even already had pre-made gift baskets for the holidays, but they didn't contain cheese so I made my own. I got: Manchego cheese Chorizo sausage A bottle of wine Blue cheese stuffed olives Truffle crackers 2 types of chocolate bars A box of cookies made for the holidays Their shelves are lined with all sorts of goodies. I can't wait to come back so I can make my own tapas at home and relive our Barcelona trip :)

Tasty real Spanish restaurant. I recommend the bravas, pulpo a la gallega, rabo de toro, rabas and my wife loves the gambas al ajillo. Its a little pricey but worth it.
