Came to this Philadelphia sandwich shop, and I ordered the Philadelphia cheese steak sandwich, and it was delicious!? it's the best! ??I recommend everyone to come and taste there Philly cheese steak sandwich. I give it 5 stars ⭐

I don't live near Miramar but when I get to come to the area, I always try to visit Joe and have one of his delicious cheesesteaks and cheesewhiz fries. Imagine my surprise when opening my takeout order - the fries were undercooked and about half the amount I was used to receiving and the large cheesesteak was now the size of a regular. The steak in the cheesesteak was also dry the whole sandwich was overly salted - and this is from someone who loves salt. I checked Yelp and learned that sadly Joe had retired and clearly the new owners have not carried on the pride of ownership Joe had, and it shows in their product. $25 for a large cheesesteak, a cheese fry, and two sodas which were mediocre at best. I will not be back.

Ordered the Philly cheese steak with fries. It had good flavor. Not the best I've had but definitely wasn't a bad experience.

Fantastic, authentic cheesesteaks. Onions and provolone is the only acceptable way to order. Hard working, extremely polite workers. It's always a pleasure to eat here.

Came here for the first time around 1:30 on March 1 Friday. Decided to stop by on my way home from UTC. Easy place to enter from Miramar road. Ordered the Joes Special and Philly with mushrooms. As I entered I was immediately greeted by a nice lady. Super friendly and helpful. Order was made fresh and quickly. She didn't call out my order number when it was ready she actually came out to the table and handed it to me and offered me hot sauce. Overall the food was good and service was great. Will def be back soon. =)

I am a San Diego native not an East Coast native I do not understand the following for this concept. I paid $15 for this cheese steak sandwich. It was decent, not bad but the entire time the only thing I could think about was buyers remorse and the really awesome beef enchiladas plate I could have got nextdoor for $14 and that l wouldn't have been hungry after

Stopped in for my first time. Steak and cheese sandwich with white cheese, peppers and mushrooms was hot and fresh. Definitely stopping in again.

Update: i tried it again for the 4th time yesterday, and they have gone back to using Amoroso rolls and it makes all the difference! So glad to see they were busy and the food was as tasty as always! OG: Everything was so incredible! Fresh grilled meat, veggies, the flavors on point, the sandwiches were loaded. Got the cheesesteak fries with mushrooms, all so so tasty! I got 2 large Jo's specials cheesesteaks one with jalapeños and it was huge! We could only eat half of it! Reminds me of the east coast, taste is authentic. You wont go wrong. Its under new ownership (the Abbys bbq next door took them over) according to the staff so I wish them well!

Parking: Very crowded at lunch time and difficult to find a parking spot. Plan on coming before noon or after 1pm.

I came here for the first time with my husband which I was excited to try being from the Philly suburbs. We tried the Joes Special cheesesteak that comes with onions, peppers, and mushrooms along with their cheesesteak fries and new Neapolitan style pizza. We loveddd all 3 items. The cheesesteak meat was cut up so nicely and there weren’t any chewy pieces. The flavors were great and the buns were Amoroso rolls ?. The fries were also so delicious and the margarita pizza had a great crust and perfect amount of cheese. There is Philly memorabilia all throughout the store which was so cool to see (including Mummers costume). The staff is super sweet and service is quick! Definitely recommend for your cheesesteak cravings (as it is hard to find outside Philly) and for your Herr’s chips and Tastykake fix ❤️.

The most authentic, Philly style cheesesteaks in San Diego! Super cool atmosphere with lots of Philly sports decor and memorabilia. They also sell some cool Philly snacks like Herr's chips, Days Soda and Tasty Cakes. The food is so good, the cheese whiz fries were my favorite. I devoured them!
