Will never shop at the location in Mission Valley again.
Twice I was at their meat department when dogs started to sniff at the meat while the owners just stood by. I could not bring myself to buy a package of meat after dogs had their noses in it. Even though the sign at the front door says dogs are not allowed in the store, people continue to bring them in.
When I talked to a cashier, she said that not only could they do nothing about it but last week a dog peed in the cereal aisle and the cashier had to clean up the mess. Another cashier said that a dog knocked over some apples at the produce stand and the owner didn’t even pick them up.
Talked to the manager who informed me that if “he didn’t see it happen there was nothing he could do”. Talked to security who said that it wasn’t his role in the store.
And of course the number of people who come in and put food in their napsacks and walk out of the store can’t be apprehended either.
Cannot imagine what the quality of food is like!

While shopping last night at this Ralph's, there was a customer that was quite unruly and definitely on something. The Ralph's team did a great job staying calm and dealing with the person in a protective way while waiting for security. I didn't stay for the outcome, but the gentleman cashier whom the man got in his face, should get a pat on the back as well as the cashier who was running the self checkout stalls, and the others too. I would suggest speaking with the security man whom they had a hard time finding, but the Ralph's team was great in a stressful situation. Thank you!

Simply. They never have enough cashiers. Prepare to spend extra 20 minutes or go to any of the other stores close by.

I used to go here a lot. I would always check my receipts abe almost EVERY time I would find mistakes and overcharges. Stopped going there as of late since it’s so expensive compared the Trader Joe’s and the receipt mistakes. Went today for some unique item and silly me, forgot to check my receipt. Welp, just got home and they charged me $20 for a party tray that was marked on sale for $10. So done with that place. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS PEOPLE !!

Three main issues with this location:
- produce is often poorly stocked and is on the verge of spoiling if not already spoiled on the shelves
- the checkout aisles are never staffed, but self checkout lanes were actually reduced, leading to long checkout lines often
- carts are rarely available at the store, and when they are, they are either old and beat up or the newer anti-theft ones that will lock and alarm upon leaving the store.
Disappointing.

Place is worse than the DMV. Longest wait lines to check out every time. Two lanes open and lines to the back of the store. No way they cannot afford another cashier, the place is packed every day. It's worth driving to another store.

Came in at 10:30 so at this point the store had been open for several hours and there was only one register open. There was a line of 11 full carts waiting before they finally opened up a new register.

June 13, 2024. Bad customer service from hot food deli guy. His uniform looked very dirty and wrinkled. His responses were him saying all righty. He did not say thank you. He put the bottom of my hot food bag against his chest, put my bag on the counter, and said, there you go.
