Baked apple pancake was great. Bacon was overpriced. Service was great. It’s a normal feeling breakfast place.

The apple pancakes here are great. However, the waiter didn't check on us throughout our meal. It would have been helpful if he had. Also, one of us had ordered the mushroom and cheese omelette, which was supposed to come with a sauce but it did not.

Been here twice and it's not really worth it. The food is mediocre, though the staff is easy going and friendly I wouldn't want this business in my neighborhood. They either need a better cook, management, or a whole new establishment that's worth the trip to the coast.

A bit crowded. Table for 2 was like joining 2 other couples on each side. It goes with the territory. Typical San Diego no parking. Food is worth waiting for. Service is slow, but thats the new norm. They do have someone consistently keeping coffee and water full !

"This isn't the place for us" was what we were told by our server when presenting them with an allergy card. Even though they offer a gluten free/vegan pancake, know that they use the same grill for everything and cross contamination happens here. Wished they at least told this to us in a nicer tone. Walked out understanding what it means to be discriminated at.

I stumbled on this breakfast place while out shopping in La Jolla. I ordered a baked veggie omelet with feta cheese and it was by far one of the neat omelets I've ever had. It was oven baked. Don't miss trying their omelets if you love a good omelette.

I would give the food a 5, the service a 1. Waitress was terrible, ignored us the whole time, once filled everyone's coffee but walked right past our table. I had to keep asking other staff to bring us things she forgot. The wife thinks it's because she is Asian. I guess with these high minimum wages they don't have to care about service. Food was very good though.

What you see in my photo is a potato pancake plate that was made with a high temperature that burnt the edges. What you cannot see is the raw uncooked, mushy insides of each of the pancakes. Our server verified that the dish was uncooked and offered to substitute it for something else. I chose just the simple buttermilk pancakes instead of taking a risk with having another potato pancake dish prepared. The buttermilk pancakes were mundane-- nothing special. The cook/chef evidently couldn't get his/her timing right either. My party of five was served at around 12:30pm on a weekday when the restaurant was only a third full, and we received our meals one or two at a time with a 3 to 5 minute delay for each member of my party. Not a good way to enjoy a meal at what should be an excellent pancake house.

Suzanne was lovely! Food was great and well priced. Coffee was refilled throughout our entire meal. Thank you!
