8-26-2024 I called Roadrunner towing and requested a tow from Mercedes of El Cajon to our lot 4 miles away. They quoted me $165. I told them that the vehicle was a 24' long Winnebago Navion and I texted them photos of the small RV along with the dimensions. I went and paid the Mercedes El Cajon service bill and was told that the tow driver would pick up the vehicle and tow it to our location 4 miles away. Instead, the next day I come to the lot and the vehicle is not here. I finally get a hold of someone there and ask what happened. They said that the RV wouldn't fit on the flat bed. Duh, of course it doesn't!! (I sent them dimensions and photos so they should have known that) So they just left.... I didn't receive any callback or communication. When I mentioned this to the rep on the phone and they didn't care I told them I was going to delete their number from my contact I use regularly and he said, "Sounds good" So apparently this company doesn't need the business.
Update after their reply: And now add they are liars since I sent them photos of the RV PRIOR TO, so anyone can CLEARLY see it it wasn't a simple Sprinter. It is an RV on a Sprinter chasis. Adding the text I sent them prior to, so they had the information and my contact info. I even told them how long it was.

My truck alternator was going and going. I was in my way to my mechanic at Elite Auto Repair when ol’ Myrtle went from going-going to just gone. I was stuck on the 52 East exit off of the I-5 south when my entire electrical system shut down. I was in the emergency lane with cars flying by me at 65 mph in a hurry to their own funeral, so I scooted myself into the passenger seat, put on the safety belt, and used my Allstate mobile app to get roadside assistance. Roadrunner was busy, but they made to me as soon as they could and provided quality service. He got me to my mechanic’s shop where I could safely address my truck’s needs.

I recently had an experience with Roadrunner Towing that left much to be desired. When I called to ask for an update on my tow, I was informed that the wait time was about an hour. I then inquired if I would receive a text message with updates or if there was a link I could use to track the driver's whereabouts, as is common with many tow companies.
Unfortunately, the person on the phone was not very helpful and kept avoiding my question. They repeatedly told me that the driver would contact me when they were close, but this did not address my request for real-time updates. The representative did not seem interested in helping me and did not provide the customer service I expected.
Overall, the experience was frustrating due to the lack of communication and assistance. I hope Roadrunner Towing can improve their customer service and offer better communication options in the future.
UPDATE: I received a call from the tow driver much later than when I was assigned one. He provided me with an update and answered my questions about his location and where he would be coming from. This gave me a better understanding of why I was waiting and was much more helpful than simply being told to wait an hour. The driver was polite and informative, which improved my overall experience. While the initial communication could be improved, I was pleased with the driver's efforts to keep me informed.
The overall time it took for the driver to reach me was closer to 2hours. Instead of the initially estimated 1hour.

Terrible service. Waited 90 min and still nobody showed up. Arrival time was set at 60 min. Called the company directly and they said they have no tows available, called the company that arranged the tow and the towing company didnt even trspond to them and just send the call to voice-mail. Now i have to wait again untill a new provider gets assigned to help.

We got stuck in a soupy mess and had a really hard time finding someone who would try to help us get out our very large truck camper. We're so glad that Roadrunner Towing took the call and got us out! So sorry we forgot the driver's name but he was great - helpful, communicated well, and no damage beyond our pride for getting into the mess in the beginning!
If you wanna see them in action, you can watch this video here: https://youtu.be/qQ5_aUuBDkw

If I could give Joel 50 stars I would!! The rental car I had ran out of battery on the side of the highway and the roadside assistance group sent Joel out but failed to tell him it was on the side of the road so the tow he had would not work. Even though he’d come out and tried to see how he could tow the car there wasnt much he could do. Despite all that he so very kindly still gave me a ride to the airport where my flight was leaving in another couple hours, saved my life!! Thanks Joel, truly appreciate how above and beyond you went!

I had the worst experience of my life with this company.im not writing this out of anger or hating on them.this is about laws broken in regards to my towed vehicles off the property I lived at.these laws aren't word for word.
Vehicles towed off private property must b towed to a yard within 10 miles of the hook up.
Mine was towed over 30 miles and since they had all my vehicles I wasn't able to recover my possessions out of the vehicles.
Last 10 people of interest in the vehicle r to b notified of the impound and informed of the lien and all the details of how to get it back etc.i was never notified of two of my vehicles being in their possession.
There's to b a posted notification of upcoming lien sale of vehicle in a public plaec.never happened.
There to b a viewing of the vehicle one hour prior to lien sale.never happened.
There's to b a physical auction of the vehicle at the time and place given to u on the original notification of upcoming lien sale.
None of that happened to 2 of my vehicles and the third I was only notified of their possession of it.
When I finally made it down to my vehicles almost everything was stolen out of on vehicle which was $1000's .almost all my tools for work and private things as well like the ashes of my best friend cat that I had for 18 yrs.
Jonathan told me to call him when I arrived there at the lot .I did.he said ihe would send a driver over.that was around 4pm.i waited 3 hrs and no one showed.
If you're wondering how I know that almost everything was taken from my vehicles, all I can say is use your imagination.i left without any of my possessions and never got any vehicles or property back.
The reason they were towed in the first place was a jealous landlord who saw a woman leaving her garage who I didn't invite or bring to the house.wouldnt that b a criminal? But no I was f ing her according to her.it cost me a place to liveandevery possession I own.

Once he arrived, Joel had my car hooked up and towed in no time, and I was able to get my vacation back on track. He was friendly and accommodating of my request to be dropped off at the car rental center. I have to add that the dispatcher twice did not provide the correct time of arrival and never called back as he promised.

Horrible service by horrible people. These subhumans were assigned through Enterprise, who are also untruthful since they said Roadrunner was efficient. It took them 2 hours to show up when they initially said 30 minutes. Nothing they told me was based on fact. They think they can say and do whatever they want with no accountability. They wanted to cancel when it was apparent that their ETA was not based on actual arrival times. The original driver was not in and I believe they assigned another driver after the initial half hour wait. The dispatcher could care less. What if this was requested when stalled on the highway? I guess you'd be out of luck with these corrupt people. They are incompetent, have horrible customer service and lack basic comprehension. They make McDonald's employees look like rocket scientists.- Reply to Roadrunner: Notice how they don't deny the delay. There was no miscommunication from Enterprise. The problem with Enterprise is that they chose you. The dispatcher had the vocabulary of a child and blatently gave false arrival times because he couldn't effectively do his job. This company uses ignorant people and it shows in their service. I never spoke over the dispatcher. Every time I was given increased ETA times with no explanation. Call center people in Nigeria would rip you off less then these people. Perhaps people can donate to this company so the dispatcher can buy a clue one day.

I had no suspension/wheels in front and they were able to easily tackle the issue and get it to my shop. Would recommend and would use their again.
