Liam, the athletics director, is BEYOND amazing! He’s extremely patient with the kids, he has a smile on his face every time he works with a new child (especially one who is struggling at the moment), he’s easily accessible and he obviously truly loves his job. If you’re looking for somewhere to take your child for athletics, Liam at Joan Kroc is definitely the way to go.

Attended a party at the Ray and Joan Kroc Ice Arena. We were able to pay to pay to have a party which included a party room and ice skate rentals. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back again!

We came to corner zone for their Halloween event. It was honestly a great time for adults and kids, lots of freebies and fun things to do and see. Definitely will be looking into renting the space for future birthday parties. I'm not sure if it was the event or if it is always like this but it felt a little dirty and unkept. I would hope that for private events the space is cleaner and equipment doesn't seem to be run down. However this was an amazing event for the community and we hope there will be one next year.

Our family loves the Kroc! The group exercise classes are great for all experience levels—a great workout and fun atmosphere. Play care staff is the best, they make an effort to know our kids and are always so kind! Regularly paint and do fun crafts! My son has also played in the basketball league and every coach they have is knowledgeable, patient and fun.Join the Kroc community!

facilitis are great, thier hours of operation will not fit many families schedules.. been a member for a few months, and only having a an hour and some change to train after taking my kids to thier activities is not enough time. joined becuase of thier location, amenities, and kid friendly activities. may have to join a second club just to be able to train.i think i should say that yes there other gyms in the area, but i wanted somewhere to go close to home, very kid friendly and family oriented which describes the kroc center perfectly. i just wish thier hours of operation were a little longer , maybe an hour later in the weekdays and at least till 8 on the weekends. being a single father makes it hard to train with my kids.

I just found out it's $15 a person to use the pool for 2 hrs! It's such a shame I grew up in the neighborhood and now that I have kids the Kroc center is there and I have to pay to get in as well, $45.00!? A single mom cannot make it in San Diego. My two are homeschooled and I thought this would be a great place to get some outdoor rec. Nope.

The Kroc Center is awesome! I love all the staff across the entire campus- they all care about the programs and participants. All three of my children attended RJ's Preschool Academy, spend all 10 weeks of summer at Day Camp every year, learned how to swim in the Kroc pool, attend all the big community events and spend countless hours in their children's library.

- I had my kid birthday in Corner Zone - Kids and parents had fun - Parking very easy - Reservation was online and very easy - Fun place for all ages - Niamh was nice and responsive - Cons: No AC - It is hotter than outs side by 5-10 degrees Did not feel the fans did help - At the end despite the hot weather still guest enjoyed it I gave 4 and not 5 due the AC issue

Trust your gut Mommas! If this place doesn't feel right, trust your gut. Years ago we looked into this place for daycare. We went over the pros and cons and ultimately decided to not put our children here because something was off. Something inside me said, "don't do it". Here we are a few years later and I inquired about day camps for summer (one of the only few places that will take preschoolers). I had an amazing and helpful person on the phone ... but then it turned into a fiasco. Their website was not accurate, their follow up and follow through was non-existent. The apologies came pouring in and they worked something out for us ... but again, my momma bear instinct told me not to do it. There's something unsettling about this place.

Man, what a dump. We recently moved to the area and were looking for something similar to the YMCA, but this is like the great value version of it. The weight/cardio room is tiny and the exercise equipment is slammed against eachother. The locker room was absolutely filthy and super dated, it felt like an old high school locker room and not a $40/month gym.
