One visit and my pup is a new, healthy pup. Dr. is extremely knowledgeable and an animals blessing.

I miss the professionalism of my previous vet. I have been lied to twice regarding the procedure my pet received. A promised back up call did not happened because the attending agent did not disclose the physician was not on duty that day.

Dr Kurowski was so kind and caring to my sweet dog Riley. She was very thorough and knowledgeable with the care he needed for kidney difficulties and understood his needs at his advancing age. She also saved his life when he experienced anaphylactic shock to bee sting allergic reaction at least twice before all that! I can’t say enough about how grateful I am to her for her skillful great care. The best bet you want to have for your fur babies! Highly recommend❤️

My Rottie had injured her leg, and my veterinarian told me she needed surgery. I called and spoke to the front desk, and they told me the vet would call me back at the end of the day. An hour later, I received a call from Dr. Karen Kurowski. Once she heard what was going on, she had me come in the next day, a week later, my dog was in surgery.Dr. K really cares about your pet, and it shows. The vet techs have all been great with my dog. It's very obvious they love their job. You'll be very happy with your decision to bring your pet here.

We have been going to Dr.K for many years now because she’s always been great! I recommend SRVH to everyone I know and for many reasons. The whole staff is great and the prices are fair. I feel safe bringing my dogs here because I know they are in good hands. I Highly recommend.

The service quality went down since they moved to this location from Scripps-Poway Blvd. The wait times are very long even with an appointment, the front desk is not helpful, they forget returning the phone calls, and the prices are through the roof. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your fur babies and your money. Take them someplace that cares.

We have taken our dog Ruby to Dr. K for 2 TPLO surgeries. The receptionists and technicians are always kind and work well with the animals as much as I’ve seen. Dr. K is an excellent vet who seems to thoroughly investigate any issues Ruby has had.Cost was a huge factor in determining where we could get Ruby’s surgery done, and I can confidently say this was the most affordable place in San Diego that I could get an appointment (reasonably soon at least). That being said she only uses board certified surgeons, so you know your getting the best for your pet.Side note, the office is in a very pleasant area. Plenty of spots to grab a quick bite or coffee if you just have a short wait.

Our cat was not eating, which is never a good sign. We called the vet and were able to book a visit the same day. After a thorough check, they found a mass in our boy's stomach. It turned out that he had been secretly eating hair bands (12 of them!) that clogged up his tummy. Thankfully, the vet was able to schedule him for surgery the next morning, which was very busy because it was right before the Memorial holiday. Two weeks later, he's as good as new, thanks to their prompt and excellent care. He is not a smart kitty, but we love him and are thrilled he is okay.

Don't go here if you're a new pet owner. I took my cat in for an emergency appointment around a month ago; more specifically, I had a feeling that the food I was giving him was causing allergies/food adversion and thus he was throwing up. Before even getting to know me, ask my name, my pet's name, his diet, or anything of the sort, the Vet hastily took my animal to receive a 600 dollar X-Ray, informing me that this is a life or death situation. I reluctantly agreed thinking it truly was something terminal -- doctor didn't even realize she didn't know my animal until the 600 dollars was gone. I am a student and am financially independent, so this is even more significant.Doctor let me know she'd call me back in an hour to review the results. She didn't call me back for three hours, and I had to wait on hold for 30 minutes just to get an ominous response from the Doctor, telling me that she couldn't actually see much because there was food in his stomach. She left me on a loose end, and never bothered to call or follow-up, despite saying she would.I ended up switching his food the day of, and this fixed the problem. Pets are inherently expensive, and all owners should know this before getting a pet, but the lack of care and intent among the staff was evident. I am a Scripps Ranch Resident and I am saddened by my experience, and recommend that anyone reading this review should go elsewhere. Save your money!

I've been to this clinic a few times, and even though I wanted to like them since they're so close to my house, I will not be returning. This most recent visit left a very sour note due to how unclear they are with their charges. In this case, we were previously quoted $398 for teeth cleaning initially then it jumped to $550-600 for the bloodwork and pain injections. We even asked the doctor over the phone while my cat was still at the clinic and he said it should come out to $600, but at the end of the day when we went to pick her up, we paid nearly $700 for a routine cleaning because of additional bloodwork, the unauthorized X-rays, and pain injections. The tech who explained the dental procedures told us that we would be informed if they needed to do some X-rays, and if we wanted them to call us whenever that decision would be made, we should sign/check a certain box. We followed her advice and signed. When we came to pick up my cat, there was a charge of $75 for X-rays. When we asked her why we didn't get a call, she told us that they can't always call whenever an X-ray is done because they're busy. She also said that all other pet owners don't typically mind paying the extra because it's what's best for their pets. From the way she explained it to us earlier, it was that they wouldn't do any X-rays unless we authorized it. I don't mind paying extra as long as the fees are well-explained and not hidden. It's sad because I feel like I've been taken advantage of and it felt like they just expected us to accept whatever charges they give us. When we ask them to explain certain charges, they were very passive aggressive. Previously we were told that bloodwork is not required unless it is an elderly cat, however when we arrived for our appointment they told us they've changed the requirement and bloodwork for all pets of all ages are required which is an additional $150. This should've been told to us before we had our appointment, then we could've at least known what to expect. I then paid for pain injections for $57 which is a fee I'd be happy to pay for so my cat is not in pain. They do the work they need to and I get that, but it's not fair to quote certain prices and continuously increase it. Teeth extractions would have totaled over $1300. I'm a student and it's crazy how I have to use part of my student loans to simply pay the extra charges for my cat's teeth cleaning. I'll be visiting another vet from now on due to their poor communication, customer service, and up selling.

Dr. Karen was kind and patient with our feral kitten, Pretty Orange, who was around 4-5 months old. We took her to see the vet because we were worried she might be pregnant. Despite being shy and timid, Pretty Orange went berserk- tried to jumped out of the window once she was in the examination room. However, Dr. Karen remained gentle throughout the visit, opting not to perform a pregnancy check so as not to stress out our beloved pet. Instead, she advised us to keep an eye out for any signs of pregnancy and let nature take its course. To our surprise, when we left, Dr. Karen didn't charge us for the visit. Thank you, Dr. K.

Low hanging fruit is here. 2 Star MAX on her BEST DAY. VERY DISHONEST TYPE WARNING ~!!!!2 Hours after visiting this Vet my dog felt weaker and vomiting bloody foam after her horrible treatment plan.Very typical bare minimum knowledge, nowhere near a Specialist or even a Master of the field. I have no idea how many people that do not love their dogs give her 4 or 5 stars because they are being fooled and believing it, if only they knew how bad she is they would look for a real vet.First appointment told the vet my dog has chronic pancreatitis, and he was vomiting and having blood in stool from eating something (AKA GASTRIC UPSET)This typical heartless Vet gave me a McDonalds menu service list without doing any kind of diagnostics or laboratory work with ridiculous assumptions-based treatment, antibiotics and probiotics and fluids under the skin.Foolish!!! Negligent!!!! Dishonest!!! I now know after talking to a real Vet later that week. I found out that when a Dog has inflammation of the stomach and intestinal tract NO FOOD NO WATER**** First 24 hours and Defiantly no antibiotics without medical labs proving that they are needed as they also upset the gastric system.andAfter I called the Vet and asked why her treatment was making my dog more sick that he was before seeing her she RUDLY CUT ME OFF AND TOLD ME THAT SHE WILL NOT WANT TO TO BUISNESS WITH ME IF I DON'T LIKE THE WAY SHE WORKS.Who the hell hurts your baby then tells you it's not your place to question their methods EVEN AFTER THE METHODS DIDN'T WORK BUT MADE YOUR BABY HURT EVEN MORE????!!!! Heartless woman. Money on her mind and no soul or consciousness. She will charge you for services your dog doesn't need just to milk your bank account for sure !!!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS ONE IS A FAKE !!!!#Warning

Dr. Kurowski helped my dog several times with his now chronic health issue. I can tell that she really cares about animals. She prescribed medication that my dog successfully took before, and my dog has improved. She seemed very knowledgeable and professional.

I had set up an appointment to have my dogs teeth scaled and went in the day of to drop her off. I told the representative that my dog had separation anxiety and was really afraid, she proceeded to say “ oh Im sorry “ with no further comment or greeting in anyway. She went straight to business and pricing, with very little explanation as to rational. I immediately got a bad vibe from her being all business and placating my concerns. She then had the gall to ask me if I was getting a bad vibe, I told her yes and then she proceeded to ask me if it was something she did? I said yes, “ It was your presentation”. She then stated in a defensive posture, “ well I need to go over the pricing options with you” complete lack of bedside manner or sensitivity to the situation. She responded by saying ok I’ll cancel then. I will never go back! Horrible personal skills or ability to read the situation. Robotic and emotionless. HORRIBLE! Left me feeling a total lack of trust for the process. 11/09/2022

Dr Karen and her team have been our family vet for 8 years since we moved to San Diego. They've supported us with 4 animals in this time period and for the second time (recently this last week) had to help us take one of our pets across the rainbow bridge. This Vet and her staff are the most professional and compassionate team we've ever worked with, even surpassing that of our human medical professional experiences. We could not recommend this business more than we do with our five stars +. Thank you again Dr. Karen for helping us with our Mocha's passing this last week. We are forever grateful.
