Can't get through using their toll free phone number. I have been a member for forty-five years, their service has gone into the toilet, I am planning on moving my accounts to an institution that values my business.

Came to this branch after a bad experience at the PQ location. Needed assistance with a business acct my late father had and was helping my mom gain access. The management was very friendly and helpful. The process was very smooth and efficient and we were very happy with how they handle everything and their overall customer service. Thank you!

Been running a business for years, came in here to cash the check I was paid and they refuse to do so without calling the member first to verify the check. Asinine, this is the only bank that does this, I can cash my checks from the originating bank at any other bank but SDCCU. I bank with chase, I’d never bank here. This is the 3rd check they have turned me away from simply because they can’t get ahold of the member to verify the check. Who has time for that? What member isn’t working during banking hours and can sit at the phone waiting for verification. Terrible bank with outdated policies.

We have been at this credit union for about 20 years. Always very happy with them at the Temecula branch. When the shut down happened last year, the manager was very nice about the fact that I cannot wear a mask. It was uncomfortable to be taken into a back office as if I was dangerous, so I tried to do as much as I can online so they wouldn't have to bother with me. I hadn't been in for many months, but I finally needed to go inside to make a deposit. This time, I was not allowed inside at all. I was not even allowed to make any transaction at all. There was a new manager. She literally said I cannot do business with them at all without a mask! Made no provision for allowing me to make a deposit! I don't know what happened, or how they get away with illegal practices, but I am looking for another credit union. They obviously don't care about the customer or losing business. Bad move, getting rid of the nice manager with good customer service skills and replacing him with a rude j****

I was appointed to be the executor of my dad's estate. I wanted to open an estate account at a "major bank," because family is in four different states-not sure why that seemed like an idea. After getting the run around at a couple of them, I called SDCCU on Saturday. I got a call back, after hours, from Danny, who was working late but saw an email requesting a call. He was very helpful, but was unsure on one issue, so he said he would find out Monday and call me back. He got the answer, and being true to his word, called me and we are able to proceed. Dedication, thoroughness, and kindness were what I needed, and is what I received. A six year member, dedicated for life.

Avoid at all costs. Just look at all the bad reviews. A long long time ago they were a good credit union but that has all changed. I had to cancel my account due to a laundry list of issues and the biggest being their phone support staff doesnt have a clue. They tell you one thing and do another or dont understand any of the forms. One of my many issues over the last year with them. They are happy as long as they can screw you over and take your money with no repercussions because who is going to hold them accountable??

Reason to update my review is that I realize there are also good people working at this place (Mira Mesa SDCCU location), and it is not fair to them with my harsh words. However, the fact remain. SDCCU customer services over the phone and their policy of not providing customer eTax 1098, if they have not paid 600 or more that year in interest SUCKs. I paid more than 700 last year in interest, and because the agent could not verify then deny providing me 1098 form is unbelievable. We all work hard for our money, and any tax deductible amount count, especially in San Diego with the terrible taxation. Anyway, thanks to Everlast "What it's like" song, I edited my previous review and give one more star for some of the good people still working at this Mira Mesa SDCCU location.
