My physical therapist Allie is great! She's really nice and fun and is a great listener and she deals with my sudden episodes very professionally. She helped me improve my posture. I am more functional (physically) and recommend her.

I’m very thankful to be able to come to Select. The whole staff is fun and welcoming, and always ready to help. I honestly look forward to going to physical therapy each visit because I enjoy everyone in the office so much! Ally has been so great in helping pinpoint my needs in my knee rehab. She’s helped correct movement and address weaknesses that have caused injuries. The exercises she’s given me have helped me to regain my strength so I feel confident in my work again.Thanks Ally, (and the whole crew at Select La Jolla) ?

Terrific team at Select Therapy in University City/La Jolla. Physical Therapist (Reed) is very knowledgeable - performed a thorough assessment, is very attentive to ensure the right treatment and adjusts treatment as needed.

It is stupid how amazing Aly and Ken (lol) have been over the course of my recovery. I want to send a huge shoutout to them for dealing with my ridiculous questions and my whining when things were painful or I wasn't where I thought I should be.Aly got me walking and moving again and Kennady was able to get me strong enough to start dancing.The dynamic duo is a must see and if you need care they are the ones to knock it out of the park.Thank you both so much!And shout out to all the assistants as well for doing so much to further my recovery.

I've been dealing chronic pain since I was 21 (I'm now 30) I've had 3 hip surgeries and I've seen probably a dozen physical therapists. This by far was the worst experience I have ever had in the decade I have been dealing with chronic pain. Not only did my physical therapist Brett do none of the diagnostic movement/strength tests that every PT and ortho I have seen over the years did to pin point where my pain was coming from to actually diagnose if the pain was my joint/hip flexor, bursa etc, he spent almost every visit talking the whole time he was working on me.I'm okay with some light chatting but most of the time he was talking about his personal life and there wasn't much manual therapy done other than light massage.Every other therapist I have worked with has checked the alignment of my pelvis, and realigned it, which is needed because my pelvis is always off. He prescribed me stretching two areas only just for 2 min each. (Every clinic I have ever worked with has me do quad, hamstring, calf, glute, adductor, and lower back stretches each for a few sets of 30 seconds each.The exercises prescribed were minimal and very generic and flared my hip up worse as the pain is coming from my hip flexor/pelvic floor etc. Most have also sent me home with exercises and stretches I can do at home.I tried to give this clinic the benefit of a doubt and give it a few chances but after the last 2 appointments flaring up my pain leaving me couchlocked for the weekend, I cancelled all future appointments to find someone who actually knows what they are doing.Additionally, expect an INSANE bill in the mail that does not reflect what you signed in the agreement when they make you sign billing paperwork. I was quoted and signed a document that said I would be billed 100 for the initial visit and 90 for every visit after meaning I would be paying 20% of that after my deductible was met.Now I am left with over $350 out of my FSA and worse pain starting over with a new therapist.Horrible experience with this clinic. They do not train their therapists well and it seems like everyone is given minimal treatment/exercises to keep coming back for more sessions so they can keep milking money out of you.AVOID AT ALL COSTS unless you want to spend all of your hard earned healthcare money at a clinic that bills you 10X more than what you signed and provides you with a therapist that lacks the experience to help you.

I have started my hip therapy with Bethany a few weeks ago. I had excruciating hip pain for 9 months and can already see an improvement. Bethany has done a fantastic job in diagnosing and pointing to the origin of the pain and the exercises she personalized for me are already helping. She is absolutely pleasant to work with, I could not wish for a better therapist.

The staff here have been nothing more than welcoming and supportive throughout recovery. The aides are all super friendly and have been extremely helpful with each visit. A huge thanks to Kennady for her continued dedication to patient care and for her proficiency and knowledge relating to all exercises and treatment methods. Thank you Select Physical Therapy for the flexibility in scheduling appointments, and the ability to stay with one physical therapist throughout recovery.

The physical therapist are knowledgeable, professional and care! I really enjoying coming to my appointments and even if I’m a little late they never give me a hard time about. Dr. Johnson is also super funny and takes time to explain her rationale behind her recommendations.
