I’ve always had great experiences at Sephora—usually, the staff is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my last visit was a bit disappointing. The staff seemed very focused on pushing a specific brand because a brand rep was in the store. It was so heavily pushed that I felt the staff was being dishonest with me. You would have thought that there was only one brand in the entire store. I ended up going to Ulta the same day and had the complete opposite experience. Will think twice before visiting this store.

the staff were sooo nice! my mom didn’t know what shade lipstick to get and the staff helped her out so efficiently even though it was busy, matched her with two shades she absolutely loves now! and i couldn’t find a lipliner i liked and some other staff helped me; very good experience. it’s just expensive, as all sephoras are. thank you!

Feline was very sweeet, friendly and personable. She helped me pick a blusher for my skin tone. Was very informative; had perfect makeup herself and made my shopping experience very nice!

I had a bit of a mixed bag of experiences here. I love the wide selection of products, but sometimes they’re not as well-stocked as I’d like. And the checkout line can get pretty long. My favorite location to shop is the La Jolla store by Whole Foods, or I can always order online.

Racist store. Rude girl with blonde highlights on the bigger side at the front was extremely rude and did not follow through on what the other advisors had told us about an ongoing deal, and then made a snarky comment to the other cashier that we were making a return to. Btw, heard and understood everything lol. Some people are just rude, it's sad to see a luxury mall is hiring people with these attitudes, as someone who worked retail all of college I certainly would never be that bitter because someone asked a question about a sale. Worst Sephora we've ever been to.

My mom and I are visiting from out of town. We always go to Sephora and never have a problem. We were there on 4/14 and the blonde woman at the far left register was rude to my mom as she was paying. My mom had a ton of points and a birthday reward and the woman rudely told her to hurry up. I wish I would have gotten her name. She was also gossiping to other coworkers throughout her interaction with my mom. So rude and unprofessional.

Rude beauty advisors at utc, I asked for assistance and they said they would help me in a minute but they were just talking and nobody came to assist me for 20 min, bad customer service, the aisles are too narrow also so everywhere it feels crowded, won't be shopping here again.

First time visiting this location. Went to check Dior backstage concealer which they don't carry. I was almost about to leave the store when Luis offered his help and asked me if I would like to try the other Dior concealer and help me to find my skin tone match. He tried multiple different tones and we found my match and I ended up buying it. He even gave me a sample of a primer to try under my makeup. This is an example of great customer service which unfortunately I have never experienced in any Sephora stores in San Diego! Despite most locations, the staff tries to ignore you, at this store everyone was very friendly including the lovely cashier. Shout out to their capable manager who leads their team perfectly. Keep up the good work everyone, and for sure this will be my go-to store from now on.

Customer service sucks. The person in the front today Friday, 2/16/24 @ 7:44pm (brunette) should not be at the front. She doesn't smile, greet, and when I asked for help I stood near the area and she nor a Sephora associate followed up. There's tons of workers with a basket but they pass right by. They need to learn from Bath & Body works workers. Very unpleasant energy. I will try another Sephora store in Fashion. I was going to by 3 perfumes and a foundation, put them all back.
