“The location where Unleashed was 4 years ago now houses a homegrown Fitness gym. The first location of that gym is by the OLD VONS.

I like the selection of businesses and the ample parking. I seriously miss the pet store Unleashed, hence only 4 stars.”

“The location sits right near the international border in San Ysidro and has a huge selection of stores spread throughout a stylish open-air layout. The architecture, planters, walkways, and courtyard areas make the entire mall feel much more upscale and attractive than many outlet centers.

As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series, I have spent a lot of time around the South Bay and border region, and Las Americas Premium Outlets is one of the best outlet shopping centers in Southern California.

There are multiple high-end handbag and fashion stores including Michael Kors, Kate Spade, and Coach along with a strong mix of athletic, casual, and designer clothing shops.

The food court is also surprisingly solid with a decent selection of places to stop and recharge during a long shopping trip.

Parking is generally very good considering how busy the center can become, and the traffic flow through the roundabout entrances is laid out fairly well compared to many large malls.

After years of traveling and writing both thrillers and the Maui Desire Romance Series, I have come to appreciate locations that feel energetic and international, and this mall definitely reflects the unique border atmosphere of the San Diego region.

It is a clean, stylish, and very well-run outlet center with one of the strongest retail selections in the South Bay.”

“There are a lot of good restaurants, shops, and always good parking options. Sometimes they'll have live music where the movie theater used to be behind the shopping center. Very convenient location and the local restaurant owners are SO nice, personable, and have great food. Highly recommend supporting the local restaurant businesses in this shopping center.”

“Food is great! Kudos to the chef! Taking 1 star off because of lady manning the front, taking orders, serving drinks. She gave our drinks with smears of ketchup on our drink cups and cup cover. Not sure if intentional or just doesn't seem to care.”

“Plenty of good parking, grocery shopping, a department store, restaurants (some of them are pretty good!)... They even have a bevy of EVGo charging stations (not free, of course).”

“Good place to go to get whatever stuff you need but good lord the parking lot is a mess, especially at the exit over by trader Joe's, so 4 stars. People drive really stupid in this parking lot cause right of way doesn't make sense and there's a lot of weird 3 and 5 way intersections. The Hawaiian bbq place is super nice”

“I like that Google Maps has a separate listing for "Costco Parking Lot", because that's all that's here. There's actually geney parking if you're willing to walk. On the weekends sometimes you have to park behind the Costco.”

“One of my favorite spots in San Diego.

A small plaza but it has what you need for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just go out for a drink!

It's like a small village town square.
The only thing, they close very early, but that's due to the nature of the area (family oriented, go home to get ready for tomorrow kinda area).”

4.5 Superb56 Reviews

“The best place to visit in this plaza is "The Classic Malt Shop" with Jeff and Ferris. Everyone is treated like family, a valued customer, and a life-long friend. The menu serves various foods to satisfy any appetite, and you MUST order a delicious shake, malt, float, or an ice cream cone. This is a great place for a family night out, except on Sundays - when they're closed.”

“It's a nice outdoor SoCal type mall. I don't do a lot of shopping so I'm not a great person to ask. Parking is a bit of a distance not major but something. I guess it feels a little tired compared to fashion valley close by, but there are many stores and an EZ layout....”

“Can't decide what to eat but don't want to cool? Just drive here and take a look. Quite a lot of choices for food from choices of pizza, Italian, Mediterranean, Japanese, Thai, Japanese at Skydeck, 3 options by Cineapolis after a movie, and Snooze (brunch), takeout food per lb inside Jimbo's, UP and Mendocino Farms, a couple fast food places like El Pollo Loco, McDonalds, Rubio's, Panda Express, and coffee options of Starbucks and Philz.”

4.4 Superb207 Reviews

“All the businesses in here are really good. Some of the spaces are a little small, and parking can get crowded during peak times. Traffic moves through pretty quickly though, and it's easy to get in and out.”

“Baron's is a much appreciated alternative to the bland uniformity of the Ralphses and Vonses (that actually sounds funny - ralphses snd vonses and bears, o my!) and the excesses of places like Bezos Foods. Even though I am probably not the best judger of prices, to me, their prices seem very reasonable. Their fruits and vegetables are always fresh. They have items you would likely not find in regular supermarkets, they have a wonderful self-serve deli section, and their selection of pastries and cookies is superb. As a croissant snob, I highly appreciate them making Bred&Cie products available daily. I wish they had opened a store on the top of the hill when Fresh and Easy closed years ago.”
