Had a really terrible experience with two of their volunteers at La Jolla Cove. Absolutely disgraceful behavior, and I can not imagine why they would allow their volunteers to behave like that. Both of those female volunteers need to be removed immediately. I believe one of the names of these two terribly behaved volunteers is Tanya. She cursed at me, screamed and behaved so poorly and erratically, that someone else on the beach called San Siego police to come. By the time the police department got there she had already left. The call to San Diego PD was for public disturbance. According to the Park Rangers, the life guards and the San Siego PD she is known for causing disturbances on the beach, harassing people, screaming and behaving irrationally. I hope they get rid of her immediately, she is a disgrace to their organization.

Great group to meet mindful people and attend fun events. SD local chapter focused on current issues and often get together for bus trips, hikes, camping/ backpacking, dinners, movies and other outings. We watched movie Paris to Pittsburgh tonight.

The environmental issues seem to overshadowed by this group’s stupid politics.

As a supporter of the Sierra Club, I'm very disappointed to learn that the Sierra Club of San Diego has written a letter of support to make the San Elijo Ave Maintenance Access Ramp in Cardiff permanent. If they didn't have environmental concerns, then they could have just remained neutral. Instead they are being used by SANDAG and the City of Encinitas as supporters of the ramp becoming permanent. You would have thought the Sierra Club would support a natural hillside over asphalt. I would hope the club would reconsider their support of this issue that is very important to the Cardiff community.
