The green produce bags are soft and wimpy. The corns, cucumber and tomatoes easily slip out if untied. Trying to lift anything feels as if the bag can break at anytime.

I only shop here because it is close and the prices are pretty fair. I have to take a deep breath and prepare myself before entering. I would estimate that 90% of the employees have something wrong with them. They get in your way in the aisles, can't help at the registers, smell like body odor, give you blank stares like there is no one home.

Customer service at this store has always exceeded my expectations of excellence!!!... THEY REALLY DO HAVE AN EXCELLENT CREW OF EMPLOYEES!!!!...
Starting with ANDREW-- who is always so friendly and he always reminds me if I need to buy ICE at checkout!!!... And when my car wouldn't start-- like magic-- within only a few minutes-- he found a kind customer to jump my car battery while he was busy ringing up customers at checkout!! THANKS, ANDREW!!
You are awesome!!!
And SONG is always so warm and welcoming everytime I enter the store and he is always so helpful at Self Checkout and he always smashes my bag of ice for me to break it up-- since and I am 70 and pretty weak!!!... THANKS, SONG!!!... You are super!!!
And I will be back to mention more excellent employees-- just need to take a short break right now!!!...

Assistant manager is EXTREMELY rude - talking about customers smelling, always mean mugging, rude to the staff and constantly has an attitude towards customers. I have been shopping there for the last year and most of the staff is as rude as her— I needed assistance in the self checkout and the staff asked “what did I want” — how about “how can I assist you?” There is definitely NOT a smile in every aisle!!!
PRODUCE is NOT FRESH.

Horrible customer service ever. No one knows anything when you ask for help. Not even management seems know what is going on. I don’t know what position Lisa is in but she has no sense of urgency or a clue on how to manage her staff or give any direction. She needs a crash course of Customer service and attitude check. Yikes double whammy!!!! 😂😂

People actually believe this place is cheaper,BS,My last trip to smart and final was a disaster.the redheaded assistant manager was very rude and obnoxious. They have the 760 ml crown royal varieties on sale for $19.99 plus a clip coupon of $2.00 making it $17.99.She said no it's not one of the varieties even though it hade the sale in front of it and it was the only one outside of the locked case which I also pointed out.The daytime manager Jonathon got involved and gave me back the difference and said I was correct,I asked him why he took down the sale paper if I was right and he claimed he was gonna put it back up. out of curiosity I went back into the store that night and the sale paper in front was changed to $21.99..What a joke,,BAD BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

Dang smh was helped by Arisbeth told her I had bottle waters and she scanned it first after she scanned everything else she told her co worker that people just walk out with not telling her they have water and then walks out comes to my cart and scans it again like if I was stealing the water smh

This mornings experience would get zero stars if possible. Only the self serve registers were available with one assistant to help. That might be ok if you have a few items but we regularly do "larger" shopping in the morning and the bagging area is NOT large enough to hold a whole shopping cart full of groceries. Items did not scan quickly, kept getting the "item removed from bagging area" message. The poor assistant had to come punch her code in about 5 times. NOT a good business practice, in my opinion, for a place that is "restaurant supply" business!

One of the best stores in Mira Mesa. I love the interaction with cashiers. They greet you with enormous smiles. The cleanest stores I've ever been in. The supervisors are so helpful.
