Very specialized stuff that is hard to find anywhere else. When I visited last time, there were things like fiddlehead fern heads, ramp leeks, and a wide assortment of edible flowers. They make you sign a waiver form with your email on an ipad and glove up before entering. Keep in mind that this place is EXPENSIVE and should be considered a splurge visit. Really, really high prices, even for basic items. I bought some Mamey Sapote here and it didn't even ripen at all, even when left out on the counter to ripen for a week. Never softened and just began to rot, which is a disappointment given how expensive each item is. :( The edible flowers did look nice though, so I think coming here if you want something fancy to garnish your cooking/baking could be good.

Me and my gf walked in the front door around 9:15 greeted by some rude guy who told us to put gloves on and register. When we put the gloves on we came back to the register and he gave us a stupid look and said “you have to register “like we had been there before. Apparently you have to register thru the iPad and that’s not a problem but damn bro. We walked in and my gf asked me what his deal was.

Oh my goodness, this is the best place to shop for Produce and Fruit near the downtown waterfront neighborhood. The staff was super friendly and I didn’t have to bag my own food. The prices are high like the rent, so save up and treat yourself to some exotic dragon fruit or fresh mushrooms ?.The location is primarily for restaurants, so a little improvement in curbside customer loading would make a big impact on ease of access.Great products with nice people makes this my new favorite place to shop.

Specialty Produce delivers to top restaurants all over San Diego, but their warehouse is also open to the public where folks can purchase produce (organic or not), pantry products, meats and cheeses. You can purchase in bulk or not. The experience is fantastic for the customer as they’ve spent a lot of time making their warehouse really accessible to the public. And as their name suggests, you can find many specialty ingredients here.

I've been here twice, before and after COVID. I already find items that I was not even looking for. This is an amazing place to buy produce, great quality and flavor to any dish.

I love shopping at Specialty Produce!! It is so fun to explore all kinds of fruits, vegetables and other products that are super unique. You can't find most of the product variety that they have in normal grocery stores. The employees are extremely knowledgeable and can direct you to items you are looking for quickly and efficiently! I cannot wait to visit again with my daughter!

We are so lucky to have a place like Specialty Produce available to us. People make fun of me for talking about them, but I don’t care. It is so worth exploring. Ask anyone there about anything food related. Too much great stuff to list here, not just produce; ice cream… 00 flour…

So disappointedI Paid over $40 for one soursop fruit, when I got home I let it ripe for one day in the fridge as you do when they are hard, only to open it with my guests and find it completely rotten …

Amazing produce. It is for major restaurants, but the fact that I can walk in and buy one perfect bell pepper is awesome. I love figs, can't find them any where but here and, bonus they gave a variety. Check out the micro green/edible flower room. Need I say more?
