Poor customer service in the copy and print area. Carol was assisting and she basically decided she didn't want to help us at all. A customer standing in line felt bad for us and gave us directions on how to print out an email. When we needed help with the printer Carol tried to ignore us again and go out of her way to help another person walking up to the counter who had not even arrived in customer service yet. When I asked her directly if she had a problem and was in some way upset with us. She said no.and gave us a fake smile. Really surprising just how rude she went out of her way to be. I do a lot of business printing her. Not anymore!

I had a very last minute print job for a funeral program. We learned that if we wanted to do a showing, the venue required the service to be within 7 days of passing. This put us in an incredibly stressful time crunch to design the materials and print hundreds of copies, on top of it being Christmas Eve-Eve, we thought we were out of luck. I called around to different print stores and was discouraged time and time again. I finally called Staples in Mission Valley and immediately explained the situation to Avery. She handled with kindness, understanding, and urgency. I have no idea how she did it, but she definitely sacrificed her time to get the 500 programs to us in less than 24 hours. My family was in tears and are forever grateful for Avery's professionalism and accommodation in our time of need. We will definitely be assigning each print job to Avery at Staples due to our experience. Thank you, Avery!

Fast, friendly, and efficient service! I went to this location for passport pictures and was in and out within 10 minutes. I was greeted by a friendly staff member who led me to the passport area. The pictures were taken and printed out within a few minutes, and they turned out great. I recommend this location for this type of service.

I went to Staples for ink for my printer, batteries, and a book holder. The first guy, Pablo, I asked about a book holder, got mad at me, and gave me a bunch of attitude. He said they don't have those. I asked if he was sure, and he got on the walkie-talkie, and asked if they had book opener's. I told him that's not what it's called, and he said what is it then? I'm waiting for the nomenclature! So I walked away from him, and went to the front. I asked the guy at the front counter. If they had book holders, he searched on his phone and came up with scented bookmarks. I told him I was looking for a book holder, and showed him a picture of them, and he told me they don't have those. When I was checking out, they have a sign on the front counter that says 25% off for veterans on all in-store purchases, for Veterans Day. I asked if they had military discount, and he said no, and then I pointed at the sign, and he said, "oh I guess we do." he rang me up, and scanned the QR code for the 25% discount, and it only discounted the batteries. So I referred to the sign that says 25% discount on ALL in-store purchases. He said they don't do that for ink. So I asked to speak to a manager, he came over and used some other way to give me a 6.5% discount on the ink, and did not honor the 25% discount on all in-store purchases. When I got back out to my car I googled book holders, and it says they have two in stock in the Staples that I was just in, but I can't bring myself to go back in there and spend any more money at a place that is full of employees so inept, and incompetent. Never shopping at Staples again.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Staples store in Mission Valley San Diego to print my brothers' obituaries and I cannot express enough how exceptional my experience was, thanks to Andrew. I am not sure what is going on with customer service these days but this store especially the old lady helping out with the TSA precheck needs to go back to the school of customer service and learn, say this, not that terms. She also could use a little lesson on listening to what customers ask for. Then I asked the guy about faxing and instead of him walking me to the machine he pointed to them. That is not how you treat people.

Run down self service machines...run down customer service too? Asked a simple question and the employee running the counter of the print center was so short and rude. It's supposed to be some sort of "learning store" and no one could be bothered to even help someone out.Copiers and printers are old.If you need anything beyond black on plain paper (printing on cardstock, color, high def print) fo elsewhere1 star because I have to, 2nd star because they had power in their machines.

Staples offers TSA Pre-check but does not live up to his promise and they do not even care.I made an appointment for TSA pre-check at Staples Mission Valley 3 weeks in advance; cancelled previous appointments I had so I could be on time. Received confirmation reminders every other day during the week. I showed up 15 minutes prior to my appointment, a clerk told me the TSA agent would come to his office in a few minutes. After 20 minutes waiting I asked to talk to the manager (by this time there were 4 more people waiting for TSA pre-check all of them had appointments). When I finally got a hold of the manager he simply said : "TSA services are closed for the day. Something came up and the guy had to leave". When asked what I should do to get the service I required he simply said "you can go to another Staples that offers TSA. They will not honor your appointment. You will be considered a walk-in". I drove to Staples at Sport Arena. Talked to the manager who said they had the TSA office but no agent yet. Drove to Staples at Pacific beach talked to the manager who said the TSA agent was booked for the day and could not take walk-ins. Bottom line. Staples sucks, lies, does not deliver and do not honor his promises. No customer service at all. If I could give negative stars they would get all of them. If you want TSA Pre-check you better go to AAA.

I have been going to this Staples for a very long time and the staffs helpfulness & polite demeanor towards customers has plummeted. They don't seem to have or want to give answers to problems and don't listen to customers or try to help them. (Specifically with the printing department)I also was also brushed off rudely by the girl checking me out when I didn't want to sign up for rewards.

Print and marketing services hooked me up! Was trying to print some 11x17 pdfs...couldn't get the size fit right, file size was too big to email, etc. but they found a solution for me and got me my docs in no time!

TSA Precheck. Logged onto tsa.gov/precheck and applied and made an appointment. Easy peasy! My husband had an appointment for tonight. I made mine for tomorrow but went with him and she let me go after him. Took all of 5 minutes! Cost $78 and it's good for 5 years. She said it'll take a week or two to get processed (but really 3-5 days). I think her name was Jeanne. Very nice!
