Everyone knows the Subway brand, but some franchises are ran better than others. Being in the food court on a Navy Base guarantees foot traffic and processes should be worked out to manage long lines. This spot is still figuring it out. You can find yourself watching them work independently vice as a team and that results in you waiting forever. Fingers crossed they find their rhythm.

Located at a military base, so no public access. Stopped at the NEX food court and was in a sandwich mood. Needed a moment to check out the revamped Subway Series menu and decided to try a #5 Bella Mozza. The sandwich artist promptly went through assembling lunch and I was able to move along chow line quicker than a Yelper uploading several multi-angle photos of their one food item. I asked the cashier about getting a soda, but she said the ice machine wasn't working. Hmm, I hope it was a temporary issue and not a "the milkshake machine is down...again" sort of thing. Tasty sandwich and quick, friendly service. Only needed a few more paces to grab a soda pop *with ice* from a neighbor spot at the food court.

In the last year Subway revamped there brand from the bright colors and bold logos they display and did a full 360 with the franchise image! I have always been a fan of the footlong sandwich where its quite convientent and light on the pockets and gets the job done at the same time. I havent ate Subway in over a year and was close by so I decided to drop in and grab a sub. I quickly noticed the bright Subway logo in the front of the store with the brand new fridges where food is kept. I went ahead and got the foot long cold cut combo with asiago cheese bread. For the toppings I went ahead and got basically everything offered besides the jalepeno peppers which was, cucumbers, tomatoes, bananna peppers, pickles, black olives, spinach, and red onions. Im a sauce king so I went with the chipotle southwest, ranch, mayo, and honey mustard. The sandwich artist perfectly layered each ingredient in and sauced it up and cut it down the center. The sub was looking more beautiful than ever and i couldnt wait to dive in. Everything tasted great and the bread was nice moist and airey and all the sauces I added compimented the sub very well. The workers were very nice and greated me with a smile from the start to the end. The unlimited beverage bar was great where I reloaded up on drinks more than once and tried out many different flavors as well as there new fountain drink line ups such the watermelon cucumber beverage. If your in a rush and need a quick bite to eat and dont wont to break the bank head over to you local subway and give it a shot because it wont dissapoint and I guarantee it will fill you up. Dont be scared to try all the sauces and add all the toppings because who likes a weak dry sandwhich?

I was waiting to order and I noticed the worker was on the side eating some chips. After 30 sec, I asked him if they was open he nodded and slowly ate his chips and drank right in front of me. While he went to put on gloves, (without even washing his hands) I just walked away disgusted.

Came in today for a tuna sub and flies were allowed to roam freely over the open food. Finally I called it out and the associate closed the food case. It was disgusting.

I remember as a kid my parents taking me here after Sunday mass. We'd shop for groceries, eat in the food court, sometimes I'd get my haircut here as well. It's been years since I've stepped foot here. Coming here recently, things have changed a lot. The commissary is now located in a different building down the road. Where the old commissary is now, they converted it into an home and electronics store. The main NEX building I remember as a kid now is a department store that sells fashion wear, make up, some home goods...all carrying your major brand names without the sales tax. This place is different but still runs on the same military efficiency. It's almost like it's own mini city.

The review's for the Flower Shop and the various souvenirs they sell, not a bad selection. With helpful and friendly staffers, this part of the exchange is on point. Worth a look!

Such a great exchange area. Walking in, it mirrored a Macys/Target/Century21 (store in East Coast) feel. I would shop here way more - if I lived closer and with my Navy friend. As many have mentioned, not everyone can access this place. I definitely liked their sunglasses/shades department - for the $5 glasses deals and assortment of styles. Definitely saw better deals in shoes, clothing, bags, etc. I'm one that loves to shop for a good deal. If it's not a deal I consider good, consider my wallet closed. They had a couple of amusing packets of things - like those gifts to make your life easier. The best thing? Everything is tax free. Humongous parking lot. Pretty clean.
