Richard was the best thing to ever happen to my project. I can't sing his praises enough. Genuinely, he was the absolute best at customer service and extremely knowledgeable on everything technical. I would only do a project with Home Depot again as long as Richard was my project manager.

We've been in the middle of a remodeling project. We have our own contractors and have designed ourselves. The design center has been a great source of inspiration from a visual sense. That's the positive. The challenge is in service. The simple truth seems to be that unless they are handling the whole project, then service is not something they are interested in. There is an unfortunate attitude that prevails. We've gotten this from three visits. Yesterday was a prime example. Got there, walk in and a person steps up to help, I think because he's that day's walk in guy. He wasn't helpful and último y directed us to another Home Depot. We asked who has the item we're looking for and at. Point did he seem to want to find us an answer. So we left. The bright spot in this story is that we went to another Home Depot in Point Loma and received amazing service. Five stars for them. Huge contrast!

I didn't think this place was in my budget but we went for it and Arpie worked her magic and we got an amazing deal! We had to trim 6" from the depth because this was for our hallway closet and it still came within budget. Delivery was quick and we installed them ourselves which was fine, my husband rented a table saw from Home Depot. I guess no project is too small for HDDC!! Thanks again, I love the results.

This review is long overdue! Todd Miller (5 stars for Todd) was exceptional to work with designing our kitchen. Todd has stellar experience as a kitchen designer at Home Depot, previously at Lowe's, and also as a longtime rep for a cabinet manufacturer. Simply put, Todd knows everything about kitchen design! For approximately $99 (which was later turned into a credit when purchasing our cabinets), Todd completed multiple designs for us to bring our original 1973 kitchen into the modern era. When we purchased our home in 2021, the cabinets had been painted prior to sale, but were rotted out inside from a previous water leak that was repaired, but the cabinets had not been replaced. We needed to gut the whole kitchen, re-pipe the original slab leak reroute and make the space more functional. We opted to go with Todd for design and my trusted contractor (Gifford's Home Repair) for measurement, demo, and install. Todd was also really great about working with us on cabinet selection. We wanted solid cabinets that were functional, affordable, strong, and looked good. Basically we were looking for the Toyota of cabinets. Todd guided us to KraftMaid (also what my Aunt recently used for her remodel), and they turned out fantastic. Todd was patient with us as we changed cabinet colors, changed layout a few times and he gave us a detailed instruction packet for our contractor to use on install. We worked with Home Depot to hire Block Tops for quartz countertops. This is why this review is not 5 stars - Block Tops was not great on install, and part of our countertops were not installed correctly. BUT HD stepped up to the plate and April Davis from the HD Design office came into the picture. April was FANTASTIC (5 stars!). April called a meeting with Block Tops, everyone met at our place, and she demanded they fix it or give us compensation. April means business, and I love how she resolved the issue and stood with us. In retrospect, I would advise that anyone considering quartz countertops perhaps consider something else. We haven't even had our countertops a year, and when setting down a pyrex bowl near the counter edge, it dinged a chip out of it! The pyrex bowl didn't break - but the countertop did? Yikes. It's more expensive, but next time I would go with marble or something stronger than quartz. All in all, we love our kitchen and would definitely work with Todd, April, and our contractor again.

This review is long overdue. Want to give a BIG Thank You and Shout Out to our project manager Colin P. from HD Design for managing and help us through the kitchen remodel project. It was a big project and 6 months in the making but Colin was always on top of everything along the way. He worked very closely with us throughout the project and provided excellent communication and updates, feedback, ideas, and resolved issues along the way. The kitchen remodel turned out Awesome! We love it! We would definitely work with Colin again on future projects and highly recommend him for his excellent customer service.

HOLY DELAYS BATMAN! We will NOT be using this design center for future projects nor any appliance purchases. Our Home Depot Sales rep said the fridge was in stock but did not tell us installation would take 8-10 weeks. Other appliance stores had the fridge and could install within a week. There was little to no communication from their staff after several weeks. I had to always call or email to get updates after no word on their delays. I was told the fridge was arriving 8-14-23 but actual installation only happened on 09-20-23. And we had no fridge all this time. I'm told Home Depot only has only a few teams in all southern CA to measure spaces and install appliances. We will be avoiding future purchases here.

Nothing like having such a poor experience that I’m posting a negative review on multiple websites in hopes of saving other people time and money.Keeping it short and to the point, we ordered a vanity that we “in stock” and we were told it would be delivered within a week. Even after MULTIPLE proactive follow-up calls and emails with the Home Depot designer center, we were given the runaround and ended up wasting over 6 weeks before finally giving up on them and sourcing our vanity elsewhere. The worst part? Even when speaking to management who assured me that our phone calls would be returned, that someone would be following-up with us, it simply did NOT happen.Do yourself a favor, as mentioned by other reviewers, DO NOT TRUST the Home Depot Design Center thinking that it’s a well-run operation like Home Depot – far from it.

We have a childcare and need to renovate a washroom for kids. Before we signed the contract, we explained because kids slept between 12 to 3 pm workers should stop working after 12. They assured that their team was flexible and there was no any worry about that. We signed and paid for the project. After signature, problems started. First they could not tell us when they could start the project. After couple of weeks, they informed the vanity we chose was damaged and they needed more time to make a new one.We had asked for two doors, but they only provided one ,so they call us and asked to pay more. Finally, they informed us that team must worked from morning to 3:30 pm and could not stop working at 12. When we insisted that because the project was for a daycare and nose caused kids could not rest , they said they needed more than three weeks to finish the project and we were responsible to pay more. Also, before signing of contract we explaind because of childcare rules workers could not use inside bathroom. After two months of signing of contract, they asked us to pay for portable toilet as well. Finally after three months, we decided to cancel the project, but for refund money they said we needed to wait...Thank you Home Depot for NOTHING!!!!

We bought several new appliances here and were helped by someone that was really very nice. If he didn’t have answers to questions he took us to someone who did. Loved being able to talk to the chef directly about questions pertaining to switching from our gas cooktop to an induction cooktop. Pros: great selection and layout, nice staff, and they stored all our appliances until they were all in together and we had them easily scheduled for delivery when we were ready. Con: they didn’t tell us that we needed a specific part for two of our appliances that needed to connect and it’s a backordered piece - so it’s been painful to try and get it from somewhere (anywhere) so it didn’t hold up our remodel. It would have been nice to know upfront so we could have ordered it with the appliances.

If I could rate them ZERO Stars I would. We paid for them to co e out and measure, cancelled two days beforehand and never we're refunded. I have called many times and get handed onto someone else, but nobody takes care of it. Do NOT waste your time and money in this place.

I am thoroughly impressed with my experience at Home Depot Design Center. We came to Sara Fox-Starky, our designer, with specific ideas and a renovated shell of 4 walls. She is amazing! Took me on a tour of the HDD mock kitchens they have and sat down to design our space. There is so much to choose from, but Sara made it easy with great suggestions and ideas. She is wonderful with all the details! The showroom gave us lots of options. The design process was simpler than I thought and we received renderings of our new kitchen laundry room and hall closet. Once the cabinets arrived we were handed over to April Davis our Project Manager. From the first time we spoke April was professional and courteous. Answered all my questions, returned all my calls and texts promptly and visited the project regularly. April knows her stuff and has great rapport with vendors and installers. Her job is a tough one being the middle person in this process, and handles it all well with class and a smile! The installer, Dale, is a craftsman. We appreciated his expertise to get our cabinets installed per the plans and always checked in with us if he needed to adjust things (walls are never perfect!). Our Cambria Quartz counter tops and backsplash, which we also got as part of our HDD package, are the icing on the cake and a dream to look at and work on. They were installed with minor seams that you can't even see!All in all we have our beautiful kitchen, just what I imagined and are so thankful to the HDD team for making it an easy process. Everyone is very professional and attentive. We purchased Kraftmaid cabinets, Cambria Countertops, Sinkology Farm sink, and appliances through Home Depot. (Flooring and wall construction were already completed by us.)

We just had our custom cabinets installed that were designed by Shelby at the Design Center. She was fantastic to work with and we are very happy with them. They even provided a service to pick a handyman to install them. Will definitely go back if we ever need anything like this again.Service: Cabinetry & hardware design

Late last year I walked into Home Depot design center to get some ideas on tile as I was planning to do a kitchen remodel. I had an idea in my head as to what I wanted my kitchen to look like but I didn’t know where to start. I had previously been ghosted by a designer and a few contractors so I decided to give it a go on my own. After a few minutes I was approached by Christina Robinson, a designer with Home Depot Design, who had an appointment cancellation and had some time available to assist me. Within half hour she put together a presentation for me based on what I was looking for. She is absolutely amazing at what she does! Within a few weeks, I had a complete design presentation prepared by Christina. Carissa drew up the blueprints and I was astounded by her expertise.A few months later demolition began. Project manager Issac Uribe was on top of everything, answering all questions and concerns. He made himself available at any time and came to our house immediately if we had any concerns. He is very professional, on time and extremely knowledgeable in all areas of construction. He is definitely an asset to Home Depot Design Center. Even after the remodel wrapped up, Isaac came over a few times to help us with a few minor issues.I have included a few before and after pictures just to show the remarkable work that this team completed in my house. I look forward to working with them on my master bathroom.Service: Kitchen design
