The Shout! House is a San Diego classic. It is, in many cases, the last place you go to before the night comes to an end. But definitely a good one. It is crowded, packed even, but the show makes up for that. Every customer is thoroughly checked and IDed before entering - which is a plus in my book. You realise quite quickly why it is called SHOUT! - because it is LOUD! - if you are looking for a place where you can whisper sweet nothings into your partners ear - this is not the place for you. But if you like music, brilliant and creative artists and generally like having a good time - go visit the Shout! You can request songs from the artists, engage in the ensuing piano battles or even perform on stage - if asked. The Shout! House is one of those places, where memories are made.

Visited on a Saturday night with 6 guests and found seating right away along the bar/overlook area (great view!).
Ordered a few cocktails and beers to enjoy while we watched the show. Very entertaining, lively, and talented! Stayed until closing. Few bachelorette and bachelor parties as well.
Would highly recommend for a fun activity in Gaslamp!

Love this place, it's our favorite thing to do when in gaslamp once a year. Unfortunately the two guys who have been preforming for years are now gone, so oooo sad. Replaced by some old bald classical pianist guy who's about as entertaining as a bobber while listening to piano licks from the fiftys. Really sad they other guys are gone, hope they can find better. The young redheaded woman was still there and still incredibly good, thank God. She did a rap song that floored me, then old bald guy butted in with some terrable old piano lick and ruined the whole vibe every time. She did look happy playing with that guy. Hope they can get their talent back because it was really special the last few years and now it's just OK... Mahalo

One of the best joints I've visited in the city that has live music. The musicians are top notch, you can't resist not joining in.

Loved it. We enjoy the piano bars and have been to a handful across the country. This place was by far our favorite. The piano players were funny, engaging, and entertaining.
Courtney on the piano was fantastic. Our server, Kaya, was amazing.
Make reservations ahead of time.

We were visiting San Diego and came across The Shout House. It is one of the most amazing venues we have been to in a long time. The place was packed and everyone there was having so much fun. Great place to celebrate special occasions! We had the best time ever! The pianists were all amazing musicians and vocalists. We received the very best customer service and we were treated so kindly by all of the staff from the minute we walked in the door. Special shout out to Desiree for helping us with a last minute reservation! We need a venue like this in our hometown - Vancouver, Washington. We’ll definitely tell our friends and come back when we’re in town again.

Easily the most fun I’ve had on a night out!! A MUST if you’re in SD for a night.
It is worth it to reserve a table for the price. The wait staff is great but not oh boy are those musicians incredible!!
Ages of attendees was between 21 years old up to 65+
Don’t plan on having any deep conversations, you’ll be singing along and laughing the entire night.

What started as a perfect anniversary night ended in total disappointment. We were having a great time amazing energy, met some kind people who even bought us drinks. Then the shift changed.
A server named Desiree came in with a completely different vibe cold, rude, and aggressive. She approached our friends in front of us and tried to kick them out in the most unprofessional way. It was uncomfortable and completely ruined the mood. This is not how guests should be treated. Please review her behavior it was totally out of line.
