I spend more time standing in line to check out than than I spend shopping at this store. There are always one to three clerks behind the counter who are not checking people out. I can understand (barely) one person behind the counter to troubleshoot if the need arises, but when the line is 20 or more people long, all staff should be on a register.
Update, months later. No carts available when I entered the store, which should've alerted the manager standing at the door that he needed to staff the registers. Nope! 3 people at registers with the line stretching beyond the checkout entry. It gave me plenty of time to update this review!

Manager Trish was really rude to another employee in the store. She humiliated and was sooooo rude to her. I’m sad that there are people like her as managers. She could have said stuff in a nicer way than she did and she was so mean. I’m never returning to this TJ Maxx because of her.

Terrible management.
I have used a gift card that my wife gave me few month ago without any questions, after waiting 15 min inline I processeded to put my item on the table , when my total was mentioned I proceeded to insert the gift card into the terminal , the cashier asked me for my ID which I gladly provided she ask me who is s….. I said that’s my wife, then she proceeded to cancel my transactions, and told me only my wife can use it.
What a F…..g joke!

It’s OK… this TJ Maxx is mainly for ladies and kids as it doesn’t have much to offer when it comes to Men’s clothing. Therefore, their stock isn’t very balanced. The shoes section is also pretty weak, hardly any options. I will say the store is pretty clean and it’s easy to locate sections. The lines are decent, not too long. Staff keeps to themselves and it’s a pretty quiet environment. There’s a handful of deals but overall there’s other TJ Maxx locations in SD that have better deals!

Went in for a few decor pilllows &
Was greeted by Rafael.. based on his knowledge & enthusiam he told me about a few items I was considering that included a lamp, table & stool, “unique limited items from around the world” he was wonderful ! Love my purchases!!
I said I’d give his manager a great review. He is the manager:) his great work & his way with people has already earned him that positions? his will be GM of many stores one day if that’s his wish! Thank you Rafael ??
