I had to get a limb saw for brush clearing. On their website the closest Home Depot to me that had the model I wanted was in Poway. I went in the store and met one of the employees named Rob. After explaining what I wanted he told me where it was located and was across the store from where we were. He offered to walk over to the item with us. Once there he was very knowledgeable about the product and stayed with us answering any questions we had. He also told us where we could get repair work done locally should it ever need servicing past the warranty date. It's always a pleasure to talk with employees who not only know their job but are also a pleasure to deal with. Big thanks Rob!I got the saw home and put it to work after minor assembly. This saw worked amazingly well and I was able to accomplish my project in short order. The price was about right for the quality of the product so I'm very happy with the purchase.

I went to this location on Saturday night to purchase a set of blinds for my living room slider. I have been into this store a few times in the last month, each time several employees walk right past me without asking if I need any help. It's as if I did not exist. Today was no exception. Then, to top things off, when I did finally track someone down to assist me, they tell me that they will not cut blinds from a blind set I wanted to purchase. I was told that If I purchased the the rod and blind separately and they would then cut the blinds, but If I wanted to purchase the rod and blind set, they would not cut the blinds for me. That makes sense right? I know that corporations do not care about customer service, but this takes it to a whole stupid level.

This store has always been a wonderful shopping experience for me and my family. But as a customer I should never witness something like this in a store. Let me explain. I was in lumber and saw a elderly employee in a orange shirt trying to move boards that looked quite heavy for him. He was struggling and recieved no help. Two apron associates walked over and they talked. They confronted a guy in a black shirt a supervisor for the orange shirt elderly man worker. He shrugged his shoulders and walked off. Is this how a store addresses safety? This was upsetting for me to watch. The elderly man went back to work. This store needs to address this.

I came in needing help to find screws for my license plates that fell off and I went to the faucet aisle where Mr. Curt was doing inventory, and without any hesitation, let me to the aisle for the screws and really relieve me of the stress of finding the right screw for the car that I am driving for work, and not only that he went outside to screw on the license plates with the new screws. Absolutely incredible service. Thank you for your help Curt and Home Depot!

POOR SERVICE AND INCAPABLE. The previous time I came, I wanted to make a copy of a key. They don't have the machines to cut your key here. It is only manual service. We waited about 10 minutes by the key station, and no employee walked by. After waiting 10 minutes, it became apparent that employees are not walking around, so I flagged down someone in a different aisle who was able to call for help. After another 10 minute wait, someone was able to come cut the key. Took the key home, and it did not work. I ended up going elsewhere for a key.POOR SERVICE AGAIN. I unfortunately came again recently. I was looking for an item in the garden center and could not find it. I went inside to look for help. I tried to flag down an employee who was walking towards me and saw me, but he quickly turned and walked behind a wall. I went back out to the garden center where there was only one employee talking to a male customer. This employee was a heavyset, bald man in his 50's. The employee and customer were looking at products on the employee's phone. I waited for them to finish but they walked together away, past me. I continued to follow and wait. They continued talking and the employee again walked away from me, giving tips to the male customer on full sun plants and items in the garden center. The employee continued to follow the other customer even when the customer was no longer talking to him, continuing to walk away from me and avoided making eye contact with me. When he ran out of things to talk to the male customer about, he stood in place, just looking down at nothing in particular. When I finally asked him a question, he turned around and immediately told me he doesn't work in the garden center. I asked if he knows where perlite is and he said he didn't know what perlite is and that I could find it using the Home Depot App. I said I don't have the app. He said he doesn't work in the garden center; he works elsewhere in the store. He said I could go ask a cashier to call a different employee to come to the garden center to help me. He explained he could not call for me because he didn't have his phone. So many red flags! I went inside to find yet another employee but another employee in the customer service section was on phone and nobody else was available.Don't waste your time coming to this Home Depot.

I've been coming here for 20+ years. As a major DIYer I know my way around this store very well. I'm here practically every weekend to grab materials from simple items to building material, plumbing, electrical, etc. But if you ever need help from an associate like cutting wire, wood, blinds, special order or getting stock from overhead shelves....FORGET ABOUT IT!!!!There are a handful of sincerely helpful employees, but they're the unicorns (Mr.T is awesome. He lights up everybody's day. He should be the standard HD looks to.). Ex. It took flagging down 8 people before I can get somebody to cut 1 vinyl shade. Then I had to return the next day because it wasn't cut to the right measurement. This is not uncommon folks. This is coming from 20+ years of customer experience. If I need an associate, I always go to a different HD (Poway, Clairemont, Carmel Mtn). But if you need to get in to get a quick part and get out, this is the place.

Home Depot is a popular home improvement store chain that offers a wide variety of products and services for DIY enthusiasts and professionals alike. The Mira Mesa location in California is no exception, offering a vast selection of tools, building materials, appliances, and home decor items. In terms of the store's layout and cleanliness, customers generally find it to be well-maintained and easy to navigate. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they are typically willing to assist customers with any questions or concerns they may have. Not all of the registers were open, which result in long lines and wait times. However, this is a common issue in many retail stores, particularly during peak shopping periods.Overall, despite occasional issues with long lines and wait times, Home Depot in Mira Mesa, CA, is generally regarded as a reliable and well-stocked home improvement store, offering a wide range of products and excellent customer service.

The only Home Depot in the world with 5 lumber carts. As a contractor who needs to load up materials daily I can assure you 100% of the time there will be no lumber carts in the store or out front. 99% of the tile you will not find one in the parking lot/racks. Now we r forced to follow a customer out to his truck and wait for him to unload or we need to go behind the counters and unload one that the store has loaded up for stocking. For a billion dollar company this is insane. This is also the ONLY location I have run into this problem

I have only visited the Garden Center section of the Home Depot Mira Mesa, so that area will be the focus of my comments here. On this Saturday morning, the Garden Center was blissfully empty, which made for pleasant and relaxing shopping among the sunny blossoms. In addition, the parking lot of the Hoe Depot Mira Mesa was not crowded with people walking back and forth, to and fro, which can be a hazard. I needed to buy a plants to create a hedge in my garden called "Eugenia Monterey Bay". I had bought out all of the Eugenias from various other Hone Depot locations---El Cajon, Santee, Fairmount, Imperial Avenue, Point Loma---you need a lot of plants to fashion a hedge--- so I decided to try Mira Mesa. The garden center at Mira Mesa is large and the aisles are sufficiently wide to maneuver the carts. In contrast, the garden center at the Point Loma location is much smaller, with narrower aisles and very poor lighting at night, which make it difficult to buy plants at 9:00 p.m., which I sometimes do. The Mira Mesa Home Depot had about seven Eugenias! I struck gold! Moreover, they were all in good condition, not raggedy as at some of the other branches. I put five of the plants in my basket and proceeded to the outdoor check out. There was no line at all and I was out to my car unloading the plants into my car in record time.

To say that I don't know what I'm doing when I walk inside a Home Depot, is an understatement. What is all this stuff they sell is a mystery to me. I came in for wallpaper (didn't even measure space first) I saw online, only to find out that you can only buy it online. So I started wandering the aisles, trying to kill time before yoga class, and it came to me, I need PVC pipe because I use it in Crossfit and can use one at home.I'm looking at all the sizes and picked a scrap piece with a jagged edge. I asked for assistance from a very friendly and professional Lily who takes the cutter and clips the edge. I realized then that the cutter is there for customers to cut their own PVC pipe. Duh, I'm a dork asking for assistance for something intending to be self-service. But Lily was gracious and helpful to a customer who is clueless about things like this. Besides, I'm pretty sure if I tried to cut the edge myself, I probably would have ended up in the ER.I hope the GM takes notice that employees like Lily should be recognized for their exceptional customer service!

I seldom write a negative review, and this review is not only about service in this particular store, it's about my experience in Home Depot stores ( Poway, Mira Mesa and Scripps)These stores are not awful, they are just indifferent about helping customers. I think there came a moment (probably during beginning of Covid) when someone decided not to go out of their way helping customers. Almost everyone seems like they don't give a damn if you are happy or satisfied. My particular beef is before I go to any store, I check online for product availability. Many times at those stores, when online product's prices don't match with prices in stores, they're not willing to match prices or if prices on exactly the same product are different in other stores, they tell you, they won't match, cause it's a different Home Depot.I've been in constraction for 25 years, I'm telling you things were different before. Home Depot is showing a record profits, so why care about people at all.I know that this "cry for help" won't change anyone in those stores, but perhaps an employee will read this and decides to make a difference.Peace and love.

FIRST TIME ! My wife and I headed over this way on Saturday to grab lunch at one of our fav Asian restaurants. After that we decided to pop in here about 1.30pm to grab some bubble wrap and packing tape. It was a typical Home Depot layout with his and hers bathrooms way down the back. And so were the items we were looking for. We dumped our stuff inside a shopping cart and headed for the checkout. A very friendly and helpful young Home Depot employee offered to check us out...a rarity in the hectic world today. And then we were gone !

Why 1 Star? Because some of the workers here are incompetent. A simple order of gravel and gravel and rock mix, can be difficult for them to find in their system, where they have to go online to find the part number. Then, waiting for a fork to load it up is another story. Poor leadership. Customer service doesn't turn their lights on. When items read in stock, they on multiple occasions say, "It is on the truck waiting to be unloaded." Quite possibly the WORST run Home Depot in the nation. See what other 1 and 2 star reviews has written about the location. Sad how I will now go outside of my neighborhood for a better experience or even Lowe's.

The store itself is fine. The main phone operator and the hardware phone operator however, need to get fired. I called up SEVEN TIMES trying to get ahold of someone there. 1st call - got operator, asked them to direct me to department for things I needed; wasn't sure what department would handle it though, so I described my problem, and they said they'd connect me to the appropriate department. Sat on phone for 10 minutes, then heard someone pick up the phone. SIlence for 2 seconds, then the call hung up. 2nd call - Sat on ringing waiting for the operator for 20 minutes. 3rd call - Sat on ringing waiting for the operator for 20 minutes. 4th call - Instead of going directly to operator, said I wanted to be connected to another department entirely. Got ahold of that department instantly, and then asked THEM to connect me to a department that would fit my problem, which they then named off as Hardware, and said they'd connect me. Waited 10 minutes. Same sequence of phone being picked up, then hanging up again. 5th call - Asked for hardware directly from start of call. Waited 10 minutes, phone picked up, hung up. 6th call - Asked for another department again. Asked for them to connect me to hardware directly. Hung up on again. 7th call - Asked for hardware directly from start of call one last time. Waited 2 minutes, and FINALLY hardware picked up. --------------------- Whoever's operating your phones, they need to be re-trained at the very least or watched over, if not fired. There are probably many customers calling these phones who just give up even going to Home Depot because they can't get ahold of anyone, or because they're literally being hung up on, as I was many times.
