Terrible experience. Showed up gas tank is at 1/4. No dolly as requested. Couldn’t fix the dolly issue. I wont be using this spot again.

This was easily one of the worst customer service experiences I can recall. I showed up at PB Sinclair to pick up my van and the kid working there informed me he did not have a van for me. Not having the van was not the worst part...although it did ruin my moving plans for that morning. Kareem's rude and dismissive attitude was beyond frustrating. He was very clear that it wasn't his problem as I had rented the moving van from UHaul corporate, and that I should call corporate if I had a problem with it. Goes without saying I won't be going back to PB Sinclair or renting a moving vehicle from UHaul again.

Arrived to do mobile check-in, wasn't available on app or browser. Nobody in the office on Sundays. Called U-Haul to troubleshoot and waited 40 minutes. Person on phone moved my location pick-up but was not able to accommodate the difference in mileage costs, nor was her manager. Manager hung up the phone on me when I asked to speak to anyone else who could address the extra (not my fault) cost. Drove to Pt Loma U-Haul location and waited in line for 45 minutes. (8 customers ahead of us.)

We reserved a 15ft truck a week in advance to pick up the morning of our move. When we got there, the attendant let us know whoever had the 15ft truck the day before us didn't return it and there was only 10ft options available, which wouldn't fit our stuff. On the Uhaul website it says that if this situation happens, we get a $50 credit, which the attendant refused to give us. If we had gotten a simple courtesy call in the morning before we got there, we would have been understanding of the situation and gone to another location, which we ended up having to do anyways. A call in the morning would have saved us a lot of time and headache. Just an overall poorly handled situation from the attendant.

I picked up the truck with slightly below 1/4 tank gas. I returned it 3 hours later with slightly above the 1/4 tank. I asked them to check while I was there and they said do not worry. Afterwards they charged me more than $50.00 for gas!!. Beware, very dishonest. I will take it up with Uhaul.

Horrible. I'd give zero stars if possible. Had a truck reserved for 7am and the shop owner didn't show up until 8:40am and then tried to tell me I didn't have a reservation. Wasn't apologetic at all. Go somewhere else.

As far as U-Haul goes, this was a pretty easy rental. The neighborhood dealer was a smog certification center, and a convenience store. They had a few rental vehicles out on the parking lot. Service was quick, and the online check-in made it easy. The problem, however, was that the vehicle on the exterior was extremely dirty! Windshield hadn't been cleaned, had bugs all over it. It seems it would be a minor attention to detail to have taken care of that and sprayed off the truck!

I saw mixed reviews which concerned me... but my experience was great. The biggest concern on prior reviews seemed to be arriving to pick up your truck, only to learn that there wasn't one available. However, when I booked they gave a $50 guarantee that they would have a truck for you, which was awesome. And luckily didn't need that. The only think I would recommend is to be careful noting your expected return time when you book. We had a small one-bedroom move which I overconfidently figured three hours.... seemed like enough time but in the end rushed to make it in about 6 hours. They were able to accommodate the time extension though and I was grateful. And they were very nice!! If you're ever concerned you might meet rude business people, just be the first one to be amazingly kind and understanding, and see where it goes. For this crew, I really appreciated that they were there to help and will be happy to rent there again. Though I'd be ok never having to move again !!

Don't go here. Terrible service, owner is rude and not accommodating. He was speeding in the parking lot in a blue truck and almost hit my sister and I. Then he was late opening up the store by almost ten minutes, when he finally got to the door he had a terrible attitude. Then he demanded that I move my car and find parking although there was NO street parking and his parking lot had open spaces. I took my money to the midway location and was not disappointed. It cost about $15 more but hey, they were polite on time and allowed me to park my car. Moving is stressful enough, don't give this guy your business.

I should have paid attention to the reviews. We reserved a 10 ft truck and 2 furniture dollies a week in advance. We called the morning of our pick up to confirm our reservation of a 10 ft truck and 2 furniture dollies. We arrived at 2:00pm, as scheduled, and were told they have the 10 ft truck but no furniture dollies. The guy said he was giving us appliance dollies instead. No! We need FURNITURE DOLLIES. That's why we ordered them. We canceled our order and called U-Haul. They told us that this location has 2 furniture dollies. I assured the lady I spoke with that they do not. While my movers waited, we ended up having to pick up a truck and dollies 25 minutes away from the Copley location. We've been renting U-Hauls for 30 years. Never had a problem. We definitely do not recommend this location.

This place took money out of my account on a truck I never rented
