I decided for my first time to go and checkout Ulta beauty since it is cheaper than Sephora … I walked in there and no one came up to me to ask if I needed help or if I was looking for something, not even a smile or a “Welcome in” … there we’re hardly any costumers. I will never go back, at least to this Ulta beauty.

They normally have a wide variety of beauty products, but this location stopped carrying Tresmme heat protector spray.

This 5 star review is for the hair stylist Alexis who just did my cut and color! She gave me EXACTLY what I was looking for, a blow out, and had great customer service. My hair looks so good and after what’s been a rough year I feel more confident. Kindness goes such a long way. Will definitely be booking with her again! ?

The sign says they're open till 9:00 p.m. but the store is closed a few minutes after 8:00 p.m. The staff there is not exactly helpful. And though they say they're dying to hire new team members, they don't follow up on applications, phone calls, or otherwise. I think perhaps the store is mismanaged all around.

The salon service here doesn't deliver what is promised, I came here for a deep conditioning treatment and haircut and was completely disappointed I had Makayla with blonde hair and she was really rough when she shampoo my hair and was pulling at my hair when she was shampooing it was so painful I had to tell to stop, she rushed through my haircut and spent less than 15 minutes and my haircut turned out uneven at the front I left extremely disappointed will not be coming back.

I came in with a friend who wanted to get color matched for foundation. I was planning on just observing but Cindy was so incredibly helpful and kind that I had her color match me as well. Walking into places like this can intimidate me a little since I don't wear a lot of makeup, but Cindy was so knowledgeable and understanding. She asked us questions to get to know what we were looking for, did her own research, and then found us the perfect shades. Thank you Cindy!

I had a disappointing experience at the Salon, particularly with the hair color service. The staff, including the hair color ladies and their managers, exhibited unprofessional behavior and seemed to be attempting to deceive customers within a 7-day period. Their lack of professionalism was evident in their work as well. They charged my wife a hefty $190 for a hair highlight, but unfortunately, there was no noticeable difference when she returned home. We only realized this later. When we confronted them during our next visit, Mikayla, one of the employees, and her manager informed us that their policy does not allow for redoing, refunding, or correcting their mistakes. This whole experience was a complete disappointment, and I genuinely believe they deserve a zero-star rating

Went to Ulta to see if I could find a pump dispenser for my big bottle of shampoo. Turned out that they had exactly what I wanted, and it was on sale for 1.50..what a bargain.

One star for service only. Most Ulta's have your run of the mill personalities but typically skew toward helpful and friendly. This one has some of the worst staff - I hate coming here. Sometimes I drive the extra miles to the 4S Ranch location to avoid coming here (plus the parking lot is a mad house). Even the Mira Mesa location has better service (actually they have wonderful staff at that location). But this one is always bad for some reason. Here's an example, recently I placed an order for pickup and my products were available at this location and I didn't have time to go to a further Ulta - I put out positive energy and hoped for the best. After fighting my way into a spot, I go in and am greeted by no one. Surprise. I go to the pick up area which is in full view of all folks at the register, including what looks to be a manager. Still nothing - no acknowledgement - not even a 'be right with you.' There are two people in line and 3 folks working the register with two others doing miscellaneous things behind the counter. I don't mind waiting but not even to be acknowledged by folks that aren't even with other customers is just rude. One of the workers (the maybe manager) not at a register hops on to help someone who just got in line without checking on me and another is grabbing her things to leave. The one leaving has to pass the pickup area to leave so she just walks up to the pick up area and asks me what I'm picking up. No hello, or thanks for waiting. If I wasn't picking up I would have left already. She grabs my bag and is fumbling with her own things - I felt bad because I know she was trying to leave but no one else even acknowledged my existence. I got my products but I'll continue to try to avoid this location.

I showed the stylist a photo of how I wanted my hair cut and that I grew my hair out for length for 3 years. She knew I wanted to keep the length. She said she'd trim a very little bit. She took off several inches and did not layer my hair. All she did was trim the back too much and said that was long layers. It's not.If she didn't know she should have just said so and I would gave gone somewhere else. Now I have to re grow my hair for length and go to another salon downtown. The stylist downtown graduated from Paul Mitchell School of Cosmetology. I wish I went to him first. I wish I read the reviews earlier. Many people did not like getting their hair cut here. Most reviews compliment the products, not hair salon.

Can't do pick up w/ "just an email" that has literally all the info, the pick up button, etc. It's make up, not a prescription, stupid policy.

This is hands down the best Ulta I've ever been too. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. Cynthia was so sweet and patient helping me find a lipstick for my wedding. Cindy was a sweetheart as well. Thanks for your kind help!
