I have been using this UPS location for several years and maintain a mail box there. The staff is always courteous, remembers me by name, and often goes out of the way to help even when I arrive just as they are closing. They are the only store I know that conscientiously tries to recycle used boxes and plastic packaging materials. While they may have to charge for printing labels if you do not have a mailbox there (I think that’s true for all UPS stores), they don’t if you do. And, nowadays most Amazon returns don’t need a label, just the QR code from your phone. Try to remember that the mailing of Amazon packages by a UPS store is not very profitable. I was told that Amazon negotiated such an aggressive deal that each store makes at best a couple dollars per return and more typically much less.

I use this store regularly and yesterday they made a mistake in my order. They immediately printed the correct items and delivered them to my home, knowing I was on a tight deadline. That type of compassionate customer care hardly happens, and it deserves all the stars. THANK YOU!
Also I’m not sure they want this advertised, but they always help me lift my boxes in! 🙏🙏🙏

We’ve been with UPS store ex mailbox etc since 2006. I must say that this store goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service. We have business account as well as personal, and I can’t thank them enough for being great to us for all these years. Sharky and the team are wonderful. A+++ ??

We typically use La Jolla Mailbox for all of our free Amazon returns but today my husband and I were sick and we sent a friend instead to the nearby UPS Store. We had 3 boxes that Amazon had shipped to us in one larger box which we had already discarded. We gave our friend cash so that she could purchase another cardboard box that our free shipping return label could be attached to. Imagine our shock when she brought back the attached receipt for $52.26. We immediately called the store because we assumed there had been an error and that they had not used our label. The rather unfriendly gentleman who answered told us that it was the price for the BOX! That is the last time we will ever take anything to the Birdrock UPS Store. Let this be a warning to other senior citizens.
