I've been using this location regularly and typically have great experiences — especially when assisted by Aj, who is consistently helpful, courteous, and goes out of his way to ensure packages are sent securely and at the best rates. Aj is a true professional.
Unfortunately, my recent visit was a very different story. Celia, who was at the counter, refused to send a package — a box containing a new computer — something I ship frequently from this same location without issue. Her attitude was dismissive and uncooperative, and she offered no reasonable explanation or assistance.
It’s incredibly frustrating to be denied a routine service without cause, especially when it disrupts business operations. The contrast between her approach and Aj's professionalism is stark.
This place is great if you’re not dealing with Celia. Otherwise, prepare for poor service and a bad attitude.

Convenient location, except when they close early. The business hours say they close at 5pm. We arrived 4:45pm. The lights were still on inside, but the front door was locked. Disappointing!

This is my second time going to the USPS location and the customer service is point blank trash.Even with a simple tape and ship item.

Moments like these make me wish ZERO stars were an option.
Let me be clear- it's not just the Tierrasanta post office that is awful- but ALL San Diego post offices apparently, because no matter where I live in San Diego, the service SUCKS. Missing packages, packages delivered to the wrong address MULTIPLE TIMES, impossible to get through on the phone, etc.
I have lost so many packages this last year. Days that they have substitute carriers, it is guaranteed we will receive either someone elses mail, or have missing packages. So far we have lost over 10+ packages that claim to have been delivered, and were actually delivered to the wrong address, and several bundles of mail / packages that belong to other folks. Yesterday it happened AGAIN- we received someone's package, and mine went missing, and no, my package did not get flipped and delivered to that person.
Get it TOGETHER USPS- you have 1 job- DELIVER MAIL ACCURATELY. If your stand-in postmen don't know how to sort / distribute / deliver mail properly- TRAIN THEM BETTER, OR DON'T SEND THEM OUT FOR DELIVIERIES.
DO BETTER!!!!!!!!!!! Your services SUCK
I used to be sad at the thought of USPS being overrun by UPS and FedEx, but at this point, I CANNOT WAIT.

I would like to share my recent experience at the local post office, and unfortunately, it left a lot to be desired. It is disheartening to write this review, as I have always relied on the postal service with high expectations of efficiency and professionalism. However, this particular visit fell far short of those expectations.Firstly, upon arrival, I was greeted by a long queue of waiting customers. While I understand that queues are a common occurrence at post offices, the lack of sufficient staff handling the customers was evident. There were only two counters open, causing an immense delay in getting served.Moreover, the atmosphere inside the post office was chaotic and disorganized. The lack of clear signage and customer guidance added to the confusion. It was frustrating to see customers getting confused about which counter to approach for their specific needs. The absence of clear communication resulted in a significant waste of time for everyone involved.Furthermore, the customer service experience was less than satisfactory. The staff seemed overwhelmed and disinterested in addressing customer queries or concerns. Their lack of engagement and minimal effort to assist was disappointing. When I tried to inquire about the status of my package, I received vague and unhelpful responses.To make matters worse, the waiting area was uncomfortable and cramped. There were only a few seats available, making it difficult for customers, especially those with mobility issues, to wait patiently. The lack of basic amenities such as water or reading material only added to the unpleasant experience.Overall, my experience at the post office was extremely dissatisfying. The long queues, disorganization, unhelpful staff, and uncomfortable waiting area all contributed to my disappointment. I had hoped for a smooth and efficient service, but unfortunately, that was not the case.It is my sincere hope that the management takes note of these shortcomings and works towards improving the overall customer experience. A well-organized and customer-friendly post office is crucial for the smooth functioning of postal services and for instilling confidence in customers.I sincerely hope that my unpleasant experience at the post office was an isolated incident and not representative of the service standards as a whole.

Awful experience at this location. I sent an international package and there were issues with delivery. I went in to see what can be done to help get this sorted. The employee who was helping me said nothing can be done and it will be returned to me. He was rude and was talking down to me for the duration of our convo. He didn’t even bother looking up my tracking number. I left on the verge of tears. I decided to call usps call center and was helped right away. They opened up a case number added in a new phone number to contact recipient and my grandmother was able to get her package the next day. If you need help call the call center do not go to this location unless you want to be given inaccurate information and be treated with disrespect.
