A gem! Beautiful store, lovely plants, bonsai, many unique Japanese items. Not cheap, of course, but it's downtown San Diego and high quality.

Absolute Gem ? I have found so many beautiful pieces here. From plants to pottery to home essentials and even jewelry I never leave here empty handed! The Gentlemen who operates this store is so very kind and helpful. It’s always a pleasure to talk with him. I always recommend this boutique to everyone I know visiting the area! Very unique pieces and high quality items to add to your home or gift to a loved one!

Darling little store with an array of items from Japan. Great selection for home and items that make for interesting gifts. Shop keeper is kind and welcoming. Recommend Vitreum as a nice boutique stop in Little Italy or if you are on the search for well-curated gifts from Japan :-)

Nice and lovely small shop. I like the way, the shop owner displays their items, which are original from Japan. High recommendation for the traveler and locals.

Vitreum is a cute little store just off of India Street in Little Italy with an eclectic array of gift items. I appreciated all of the cat-themed stuff and bought a tiny cat bowl as a silly gift for someone. There were also some interesting plant items, and for the neighborhood, the prices seemed quite fair. I'll definitely poke my head in again the next time I'm hanging out in Little Italy.

Such a lovely shop! Every time I come in here I find something wonderful. It is one of my go to places for nice gifts for friends. The owner is always so pleasant and helpful. I lived in Japan for a number of years and I have yet to find a store in the USA that has such a selection of fine and unique Japanese items.

On our checklist of San Diego destinations when we are in Little Italy. My year old plants are thriving. The owner is so knowledgeable and will gear you towards the right type of plant for your household - we have cats so the plants can't be toxic. Everything in that store is worth a look.

By far the coolest little shop I’ve visited. Asian themed with relaxing music and incense when you walk in as well as many unique and cute beautiful gifts and souvenirs to buy from shiba tote bags, Art pieces, jellyfish ornaments to assemble and hang outside, absolutely beautiful Japanese hairsticks, and plants. I bought myself this cute little moss ball called a marimo! They live 200 years when cared for properly and grow 5mm a year! I would recommend anyone visiting San Diego to make this one of their must-stop places to visit while in the area.

We stumbled upon this store while waiting in line for Harumama. This store is a hidden gem that sells not your usual Japanese stuff. Lots of small plants, tea paraphernalia, international and local Japanese artworks and cutesy products. ?
