Very hit and miss on service here... The store has some decent prices on some items, I even had some impulse buys that were really good deals. I went to the meat department and the man child behind the counter had such an attitude, which kinda ruined it again for me. Seriously, the first time I had walked in, nearly two years ago, the first thing I heard was some manager yelling at customers really loud. Such a gross experience. So I've avoided it for the most part. Tonight I was driving by on the way home so I thought I would just stop here versus going all the way to Adams Avenue. The meat counter guy, some tall-ish dark haired kid with a crappy attitude really ruined it. Too bad because the cashier was nice. Cashier's name is Scott according to my receipt. He actually took the time to ask how my day was going. Thank you meat counter boy for reminding me that I should shop elsewhere. Next time, you can take your shrimp and shove it where the sun don't shine.

Vons is always a great place to do your shopping, especially if you got the vons app.

This is my favorite Vons in the city of San Diego because I grew up coming to this Vons after I had gone to the museums, Downtown, Balboa Park, and the San Diego Zoo. There’s a big parking lot and it’s a big Vons compare to the one in my neighborhood; Normal Heights. If you compare this place to their store, this one is big and spacious, has plenty of stuff to buy, just feels more like a grocery store here. It’s twice as big! This place has a pharmacy, bakery, flower shop, butcher shop, they sell seafood; but their deli is my favorite because of a worker named Henry Joseph Rodriguez II - we call him Joey, because he’s friendly like that and we find out their name. Well Joey is very incredible because he was super nice to me when I first met him last year there, I don’t come out to grocery stores much these days but I will now because Joey is the best. He is feeding us well!! He is a hard worker, always there with a smile and friendly words, he’s a great chef and is proud of the food her serves. Everyone knows his name because of what a wonderful guy he is. I’m the friendly type too, so it’s nice to see people like Joey still exist.I hope his supervisor and general manager of this store know that he deserves more praise from the higher ups, because he is one in a million, and I would be sad if he wasn’t there anymore. Thank you, Joey.

This Vons has noticeably lower quality than the Hillcrest Vons. The refrigerator sections seem to have issues almost half the time I go.

Thought I'd add my review to balance out the negative - this is my neighborhood Vons and I don't go out of my way to buy groceries elsewhere, so I think that's saying something. A few thoughts: - buy groceries before 6pm! A small amount of popular shelves are empty or being stocked in the late evening. - flower section is great before major holidays, take advantage - meat selection is good *** The staff here has been working here for years and are hood people if you treat them nicely

Employees are super nice. Clean. We’ll-stocked. Lines can get long. The cake selection is awesome. Better than most Vons location. A lot of parking!

This Vons and the one on adams are the worst I’ve ever seen. Constantly filthy and smelly. Aisles are usually impassable with boxes and pallets. Also, items are often mispriced

Brought my own bags that I bought from vons. I had to bag my own groceries or buy more "reuseable" bags to have an employee to bag. Looked around and ALL baggers are standing around doing absolutely nothing.

Employee's were great , friendly and helpful. Store was terrible, narrow isles and poor signage made it hard to find item's. At 11AM restocking was taking place and you couldn't get a cart past. Mission Hills is much better.
