The Pavilions caters to being a homeless hangout. Almost every time there I see a homeless by the door. It's been an issue since the store was named Vons. The security and the manager do nothing. Even Google Street View shows a homeless lady without shoes at the door! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, FOLKS

Since the changed from Vons to Pavilions everything’s is worse. They close earlier, the prices are much higher, the sales aren’t as generous. I can’t see a single thing that is better. I miss Vons!

It's an exact clone of any other nice area supermarket. Clean, well stocked, parking can be a real pain.

In La Jolla from the UK for a week. We rented a house so we could self cater for some meals and used Pavilions for our groceries. Spacious and clean store with a lovely fruit and veg section. Check out staff very pleasant, especially the nice lady from Dublin. And special mention for Marty who helped us out in the wine section one day and the spotted us a couple of days later and came to say hello. Nearly a 5 star rating but fresh bread was a little disappointing if, as we did, you wanted just a couple of rolls.

It's a great place to buy everything for the home, especially food and everyday household products. The welcome is warm. A pharmacy is also located there

They close 5 minutes ahead of time I arrived on Thanksgiving needing water and it was 2:55pm. They close at 3pm. I said I need 1 item just water. Security guard was on stuck on repeat. Like a robot. “Happy Thanksgiving” 2023 vibes. Can’t even go to a place while it’s open. Nasty individuals.

Just like any Vons store. Nothing special. It is nothing like Bristol Farms was for Albertsons.

It's a grocery store. Staff doesn't know where items are but if if you wonder around you will find what you need. Produce is ok but not the freshest

Always great people, but by people, I mean the people you may meet, or be helped by, these folks are terrific. The people I can vouch for are the people behind the scenes. For example, the people who prepare the deli things such as potato salad.I had a very bad weekend, I went to urgent Care on Friday morning, then I went to La Jolla Vons to pick up my prescription. The pharmacy department is absolutely terrific they have been more than helpful and a credibly timely. They had the prescription that I was picking up ready for me in 20 minutes...After picking up the prescription I decided to pick up some potato salad as I have been craving it. I bought the loaded potato salad something made by Vons deli.Within an hour of eating a small portion of the potato potato salad I became violently ill with salmonella poisoning. I spent two hours violently retching and another hour with equally bad diarrhea. When I went to bonds to complain I spoke to the manager who listened politely even though I was agitated..He then refunded my 5.99 for the potato salad and gave me another $5 gift card...Not much sympathy, and a $5 card.. that amounts to a dollar 66 per hour of hell.Do not buy the loaded potato salad......
