So busy bagging my own groceries I couldn't even scan my card to get the discount!!! Terrible service!!!! Been coming here for years and truly dissatisfied. I come here because I have no where else. This is truly what is wrong with America. Thanks for nothing!

Horrible customer service by the manager Daniel. He should be reviewed by upper management. It’s like he doesn’t want to work. Extremely rude. Hates his job.

Are they serious? The manager Daniel D. He is completely complete incompetent? Extremely rude. How do these incompetent people have jobs? The older Asian lady in the counter is not fit for work. The deli counter refused to give food to paying customers so that they can take it home and eat it themselves.

Vons/Safeway has been my go to for grocery shopping. This one specifically doesn’t always have everything I need but definitely most. It’s pretty clean and organized and they have a very kind staff. Everyone I’ve encountered has been helpful, especially Linda who helped me with the rental process for their upholstery cleaners. She was so patient and professional!

Love that its a first quick stop by my house. Some employees are nice and some are alil harsh. Though I wish they had more on the spot baggers as well because I do buy tons of items and never see no more than 1 bagger. That would improve alot. Definitely love the new remodeled starbucks stand gives out better vibes since the holidays are here.

Great store if you can't find a product their employees are happy to help you even look in back for for the products or project so I had a real great experience in there awesome if you have a chance to go or be in Mira Mesa hit that vons right there and

We ordered a turkey dinner for six. We knew we had to reheat it but when we arrived home, the "cooked" whole turkey was partially frozen and there were no instructions on how to reheat or how long to reheat! I called the store (deli section) and got only snarky, unhelpful comments from the man. "You should look for instructions before you leave the store". And "reheat to 190 degrees". And "if it's not cooked yet, cook it longer". To which I replied, I thought the turkey was cooked already. He said, "yes, it's cooked". He was rude and not at all helpful. We will obviously not repeat our mistake and not buy Von's turkey dinner in the future!!!

I am writing this review with great disappointment and frustration regarding the recent experience I had with Vons groceries in Mira Mesa. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, had placed an order in advance for turkeys to ensure a smooth and stress-free holiday celebration. However, Vons managed to turn this anticipation into a complete disaster. Imagine my shock when, at the last possible moment, Vons informed me that the turkeys I had carefully ordered and anticipated were suddenly unavailable. To say that I was angered would be an understatement. I had trusted Vons to fulfill my order, only to be let down in such a crucial time. To add insult to the situation, the store manager, Michael, showed a complete lack of empathy and understanding towards my unfortunate situation. His response was apathetic, stating that there was nothing they could do to rectify their mistake or make it right. It is truly disappointing.

Vons, hire some more cashiers or keep the self checkout open past 9pm, or keep the express items line staffed. Seriously. There shouldn't be THREE LINES of 15 PEOPLE EACH waiting with 2 or 3 items each. Management here has been doing this for years, leaving night staff drastically understaffed and every night it's this way. That, or corporate is screwing up, either one.

I went in for the Friday fried chicken special at 7:00 10/13. There was a seven-person line with a sign posted on th deli counter saying next back will be out in 45 minutes to one hour, with no indication of when it was put up. When the sales person/cook did show up behind the counter, she did not keep us informed as to her progress despite walking all around behind the counter and chatting with one of the customers. Finally, she announce that this batch was the last batch. I ended up being next to last getting the eight pieces. I was informed that I would only get two thighs and six legs (instead of four and four). The guy behand me was to get only eight legs. When I asked if there were extra pieces so that they could thow in an extra leg to make up the difference, she couldn't understand. Convincing a coworker, after about five minutes he added an extra leg. When I got home, there were only seven pieces of chicken!! Pretty sucky customer service in many ways.

A superstore with groceries, cosmetics, fruits and vegetables, home goods, etc. Well maintained.staff is cheerful.
