Do not waste your time coming into this Vons dor Western Union services, they NEVER have staff to attend to it and they act like we are inconveniencing them and are so rude about it! Even if you ask what’s a good time to go back they get annoyed and the answer is I don’t know.

I love this location, I can always have my sushi freshly made and custom to exactly what I want. The bread is always fresh when it's from the bakery. I've gotten some moldy bread out of the Hawaiian roll packs before but they swapped it out no problem so that's why I'm only giving four stars. They should be checking for old products on the shelves but other than that I really like this location.

I don't feel it is right for vons grocery stores to ask people to donate money for the Ukraine , why don't they try to help the homeless here in America. I wonder how the hundreds of Russian jews , fleeing these same people back in the day must feel . After all these are the same people who persecuted them to the point when they had to flee to America losing their passports and giving up there possessions to buy their way out ! NICE GOING VONS !!!!!

I come here pretty frequently for all my shopping needs. You can find just about anything you need here for groceries aswell as wellness items. They have a fresh meat/fish deli as well as a bakery. They also have different premade meals such as fried chicken/ sushi which almost always hit the mark and are well made. Unfortunately their customer service is subpar (except for the meat deli those guys have always been great at their jobs and I've never had a bad experience) this is for the front of house / store representatives on the floor. On multiple occasions I've asked aid in helping find items and on more or one occasion the employee has simply told me they don't know and offered no help past this. On top of that I've literally had to ask staff to do their job at the self checkout line because they're too busy chatting amongst eachother. Last week I needed to go to the customer service desk and was informed it would be a 10 minute wait for customer service... isn't that what store managers are for? This store needs to drastically hire new workers or re-educate their current staff on how to work in the customer service industry

I just want to share how courteous, prompt and professional, the bakery department was in taking care of my cake order. I had several different designs requests, and they knocked each one of them out of the park. Kelly, Anthony and Tommy were great!

I think The manager is extremely helpful, I believe he is fairly new! I really like this store and all the stores that are around it. And for the guy that's complaining about people not wearing mask in the store it's none of his damn business. If you want to wear a mask wear it we don't want to wear a mask and we're not being told we have to it's our problem it's not yours. Go somewhere else if you don't like the way this great manager if running his store! What this state needs to do is take care of all the homeless and all the illegal immigration that's trying to live in Pacific Beach, a mask is nothing compared to what else is going on in Pacific Beach, give me a break dude!! Study how mask don't work!!!

Really disappointed in this location. Always such a stressful experience shopping here as there's never any carts and employees don't seem to be very helpful but would rather talk with each other and just stare at you when you ask for help. Have always had a much more enjoyable experience shopping at Trader Joe's down the street.

I've been going to this store for months and Brad in the liquor/wine department has been great in giving me recommendations. I highly encourage any person who wants a good selection with good recommendations in alcohol to come here and see brad!

All the staff at this location has been helpful. Bakery Department: They are friendly and really happy to help. The manager Coleen knew her department well and was able to assist me. I had the baker Placido help me create a cake and he did a beautiful job! Very talented with pipping and we were all extremely happy with his work! Floral Department: The florists here are also very sweet. They will assist you with anything you need. Thank you!

I look forward to grocery shopping all because of the people who work here! All the employees are wonderful but this review is for Reese! Such a helpful employee and always positive and upbeat. Always has something nice to say in passing as well and that makes my whole experience 100x better. Shout out to him!

Roz is the kindest, most genuine cashier of all time! She really takes the extra time to make you feel valued as a customer! I recently started shopping more at this location because of how clean and well organized the store is. They also have an amazing clearance section!! Some of Vons fresh items are slightly higher in price than competing grocery stores, but they do have a wider variety of produce. The lines can get long in the afternoons, so I would highly recommend the self-checkout if you have fewer items!

Branded... As Vons usually carries Prime Rib Roast during the Holidays, I called in to order a small 4 lb. cut of Prime rib deboned and tied but with the bones to go. I was assured by two different butchers that it would be ready and to my specs. I called in 3 different times to set the tame I would be in and to make sure they were doing as I requested. That turned out to be a pipe dream. When I arrived to pick up my once a year splurge, the meat had not been prepared. They had no bone in cuts and I had to wait for it to be prepared without any string ties on the roast. And I had to pay the bone out price. Now for the quality of the meat. On a scale of 1-10, I will give it a solid 6 for Prime beef. It was tasty but was more stringy with more course grain that the Hotels and Fine Restaurants offer. At over $29 per lb. I think it just could have been better. As all cuts, there were mostly very tender bites and some not so tender. I used the Food Wishes Method X to cook it. Wow! It came out a perfect 150 degrees to a nice just rare side of a medium roast. Just like I liked it. But I pulled it out of the oven after 1 hour of resting in a hot but cooling oven. I cut it to a two pound roast before cooking with the remainder headed to the chill for another day of roasting. I am satisfice with the meat thanks to the Steer but the Butchers could have been honest with me instead of branding me a s****** But they were nice and polite to my face. don out.

This location of VONS is convenient because they have a fuel station right across the street. I do enough shopping to earn at least one reward from their program each month which is redeemable for $0.10 off per gallon of gasoline. Despite the size of the parking lot, if you come at the wrong time, then there can be a lengthy search for an open spot because neighboring businesses like CVS and Petco draw quite a few customers too. As for the store itself, the footprint is pretty large even without the presence of an on-site pharmacy like some of the branches have. They used to have a Panda Express inside until that business moved to the plaza where the fuel station is located. The vacated area became a juice bar which may be defunct now because it didn't seem to be operating when I visited recently. The deli can become busy so patience is necessary if there is a line because it moves slow. I do like that they have six U Scan kiosks in which you can check yourself out. The wait is minimal most of the time and proceeds quickly compared to the checkout lines staffed by cashiers. Their annual Monopoly game has started again, but this year it's all digital and can be accessed through an app. That kind of takes away from the fun of matching game tickets to spaces on a board. The complaints about quality and service at this store? Yes, I can definitely see that being the case. I never expected it to be top notch in either area for a large regional grocery chain. You get what you pay for so patronize Trader Joe's, Sprouts, or Whole Foods if you want an upgrade in those facets.
