If I could give a negative star review for this "rite" aid, I would. The store is fine but the pharmacy is majorly mis-managed. Please notice that I do not give bad reviews - I generally leave positive feedback only. But.... I am BEYOND pissed. I was told by this WRONG-AID, that they would fill a prescription I needed to fill - that they had the medication in stock - so I contacted my dr to call it in. She did. By the time "rite" aid received it, they were out of that mg strength, but they told me they could fill it for a different strength if my dr changed the RX. I CALLED MY DR AGAIN and asked her to change it, which she finally did. Keep in mind that it is no easy feat to get a hold of one's dr these days. Lots of hold time and multiple phone calls are required. So all this took almost a WEEK - I called the "WRONG AID" over and over to check on the status of my RX. And not ONE TIME WAS I EVER ADVISED THAT THEY WOULD NOT FILL IT. THEY ACTUALLY TOLD ME THEY WOULD FILL IT IF THEY HAD IT IN STOCK. So last night I showed up without calling because I knew that my dr had called it in by the message SHE left me. So there was a substitute pharmacist working who told me that actually THEY WOULD NOT FILL IT DUE TO THE FACT THAT I HADNT HAD AN RX FILLED THERE FOR 2 YEARS! Um excuse me but I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD FILL IT on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS --- A WEEK AGO. Also keep in mind that I have been coming to this particular store since it was Thrifty's 50 years ago. I was told by the sub that the pharmacy manager, DARREN would be in in the morning. I came back in the morning and explained the whole situation to him, and he was just as USELESS AND RUDE. He reiterated to me that he would not help me - even though his inept staff had told me they would - JUST BECAUSE I HAD NOT BEEN THERE FOR AN RX FOR 2 YEARS. THe only reason I stopped using them 2 years ago was because they changed manufacturers of the medicine I was taking at that time and the new one didn't agree with me, and they wouldn't switch back! So who abandoned the relationship here. Not me. SO THEY JUST WASTED A WEEK OF MY LIFE AND MY DR'S EFFORTS to get my prescription filled. SO NOW I HAVE TO CALL MY DR YET AGAINNN to have her change the PHARMACY and the strength because these idiots are inept and don't know how to communicate. I asked Darren for the name and phone # of HIS manager. He wrote it down on a card. TAMMY SEAT is supposedly her name. I called right there on the spot and the NUMBER HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED. What the EF. I told Darren about it and HE REFUSED TO DOUBLE CHECK THE NUMBER FOR ME AND SAID THAT WAS THE ONLY NUMBER HE HAD and then dismissed me. OH REALLY, THAT MAKES SENSE (if you want to give people the run-around). This is not the way to treat people, much less CUSTOMERS. Not only is this pharmacy now forever known as WRONG-AID, they are also known as LAME-AID.

Very rude Pharmacist. I have been a neighbor since 2000. Always got all my medication from this store. But had a recent bout of COVID-19 and the required medication. The store did not communicate how or pick up the prescription or offered to have it delivered. So after the 5th day of isolation, I went to pick it up and the clerk "FREAKED OUT" told me to leave the store and embarrassed me in front of a line full of customers. The only text I ever received was to come down and pick up my prescription. Lack of communication skills by the staff. I went to my car and called them to bring me the prescription then the Pharmacist put me on hold since there were 2 callers ahead of me apparently. He came out and put the prescription on the curb and left. Thanks Rite Aide!! What compassion. Oh and the real kicker is my husband also got a prescription for the same medication. Went to CVS in La Jolla. Waited in line with his KN95 mask on waited and the pharmacist consulted with him on the details. No Freak Out!!!

Have to come to this store because CVS stopped filling my prescription. Pharmacy closes at 6pm on Sundays which is beyond inconvenient. But biggest issue for me is not updating your hours of operation on the door for the pharmacy, which clearly changed a long time ago per the cashier I asked. Says 10pm monday--friday (yes, for the pharmacy specifically) so I came out of my way just after 9pm to go there only to find out it closes at 9. POST YOUR CORRECT/UPDATED HOURS IF YOU CHANGE THEM!!!!

back for another quick errand at Rite Aid and in addition to my last review of this location, and the "wonderful" attitude the cashier had, I'd also like to take this time to call out the afro haired Phillip for his absolutely terrible customer service and attitude. The lady ahead of me in line was cheery and she got to the Phillip and said "hi how are you?" very nicely. Phillip just stood there and did not react at all. Nice. He seemed very uninterested in getting the correct price for her. I come up and say "hey how's it goin'?". Again, no response, just stands there. It's probably the fingernail polish he has on his nails that's leaking some sort of poison into his bloodstream that's causing him to appear lifeless and unhelpful. Or maybe it's because the people he was helping were caucasian. Bottom line, dude needs an attitude adjustment from management. Or let him go. This Rite Aid only seems to hire woke cashiers

Amazing store! The staff was very helpful in helping me find everything I needed. The store was very clean, the refrigerated products were put away in a timely manner unlike most convenience stores in the area, and even the bathrooms were very clean! 10/10 would shop again!

The staff here is great! More importantly, the store manager. It's not often you see a store manager out on the floor doing work that you'd think a normal associate should be doing. Super great guy and greeted me with a smile! Definitely will be making this location my main pharmacy!

Edited: letter to corporate since I've never written one before, and interesting first. Hello Rite Aid, I've never contacted corporate before but felt this was a terrible enough experience to now. I grew up with my neighborhood Rite Aid on Governor (previously Thrifty) and it definitely came a long way to how I was treated today trying to get a covid booster. I stopped in a few weeks prior to pick up medication and asked the pharmacist what was the best way to get a booster and was assured I could walk in with no issues since I was also waiting for a PCR test to come back negative. Today I walked in at 9:45am, there was only one man in line and I saw signs saying walk-ins only accepted between 12-5. Which are very difficult hours for people who work jobs they can't leave from, not really kind to those who aren't yoga moms and are socioeconomically disadvantaged. I decided to wait in line and ask since I'm a high risk patient, work multiple jobs and very overdue after being exposed and waited for PCR results. I (unfortunately) heard the gentleman in front of me say he had an appointment at 3:30 but wanted to get in early and they send him over to fill out paperwork. I thought great I have a chance before heading to work, the pharmacy doesn't appear busy and I didn't mind a wait before work. They called me up and was told immediately told walk-ins were only between 12-5 as the pharmacist turns away. This lady was clearly fed up with the whole experience, I can only imagine but still not a friendly or very helpful reply. I decide to ask one more time at the window the man who basically became a walk-in went to. That lady seemed more sympathetic, but also said no, while she accepts his papers. I mentioned I work multiple jobs all in various times, I'm extremely high risk, long overdue and those walk-in times are very hard to make let alone stick to an actual appointment. But she shrugs it off like there was nothing that can be done while no one else has walked into the pharmacy in the past 15 minutes. It's not that they couldn't, it's truly that they wouldn't bend the rules for just me, which made this experience so frustrating. This isn't like trying to order from the breakfast menu 20 minutes after 10am, this is a potentially lifesaving vaccine that they're deciding who might get it whenever they'd like. I don't wish to put a bigger strain on the medical system, one reason it's hard to make an appointment because I would possibly miss it I also know there is a lot going on behind the scenes in a pharmacy, but during these times it's nice to know your neighborhood is looking out for you and have some understanding. I will never return to this Rite Aid except to return recent purchases, which is quite depressing to think this is one of few stores I've been coming to for 40 years.

I registered for a COVID booster shot as I live with an elderly parent and care for them, and the CDC recommends that the booster shot become available for those, including the younger, if they care for their parents. When I went in on 10/27/2021 around 8:30 PM, I asked the pharmacy tech (or clerk at the pharmacy register) I registered for a booster shot. The gentleman at the register was extremely skeptical of me from the start, possibly due to the age, despite the CDC having several criteria on who should receive a COVID booster shot: cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID... First, the gentlemen requested that I present my COVID vaccination card, as if I were attempting to go into a bar and needed to prove my vaccination status. This is fine, however, I don't have my physical vaccination card as a I carry a QR code of my vaccination status and have it uploaded to my Health app. When I informed him of this, he was extremely skeptical of me, treating me as if I was lying to him about being vaccinated. Think for one second, why would it make why would I lie about being vaccinated, to get vaccinated? For anyone with an IQ that's not doesn't contains larger than 2 digits, how can you be weary of me not having a vaccination card (I had told him it was digital), when I'm trying to get vaccinated? This is not a bar that I'm entering, I'm trying to get a booster shot, yet the gentleman treats me like I'm lying about being vaccinated. On top of the fact that this gentleman SHOULD be informed that digital vaccination cards is a 100% accepted form or proof of vaccination. You'd think someone associated with the medical field in some capacity would inform themselves, but alas! For proof digital records are acceptable: myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.... In addition, the CDC recommends 6 months to the date of your first vaccine to get a booster. It's been nearly 6 months since my 2nd vaccine minus a few days. The gentlemen immediately informed me he would not approve of me getting the vaccine. First, let me inform this gentleman that the CDC does not give an exact number of days between your last vaccination and the booster shot: cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID... Next, let's state an obvious fact that there are DIFFERENT number of days between months. In June there are 30 days, in October, there are 31 days. Given this fact, and the fact that the CDC guideline gives a 6 month guideline that one can reasonably say is a rough estimate, how can this gentlemen decline me getting a booster shot, when the CDC does not give an EXACT number of days required between your 2nd vaccination and the booster shot, there's different numbers of days between months, and it's been roughly 6 months since my 2nd booster shot? How is that even remotely logical to deny someone a booster shot because someone is not intelligent enough to know of the CDC rules nor understand that the 6 mont guideline is relative? It's 3 days till November, and I consider COVID to be a deadly disease ~ 10 deadlier than the flu, in addition to many COVID vaccines going to waste as many do not want the shot, then why would you decline me a booster shot when there's functionally no difference between a booster and a non-booster vaccination shot? Let me tell you, if the clerk at the Pharmacy was a reasonable person, I would have received the booster shot. But instead, I was rejected likely because I looked young to him, and the gentleman thought I was faking my vaccination status... in order to get vaccinated. Great job!

What a waste of time! Big Jonathan WASTED about 4 parties time this morning! I returned a leaking water dispenser with a receipt paid in 80% cash. I was only returning about 20% of my total receipt. But NOOOOOO Big Jonathan insisted (with a long line of people behind me) I can only get credit back in GC or CC. So i had to pick up my items, looking like I was doing something nefarious, embarassed but pissed I have to go back home to get my CC. (I KNOW, my fault for only coming with my car keys) And when i came back another cashier, Mike (very knowledgable) helped me and i didnt say anything. But upon him finishing up, he asked me "well u paid mostly in cash, would you want cash back?" All i could yell out was THANK YOU!!!!! Then i told Mike, i wpuldve preferred cash, but since i have my CC now. What a waste of 30min!!!!!!

This is about thrifty ice cream alone. It's some of the best ice cream & not well known! When you choose a flavor that's newer it's so soft & creamy. The people working there always are quick to come over & help us with our ice cream. And they always have deals for the tubs!

What you need from a convenience store and much more. The workers are nice and helpful and the things you can get there are bountiful. This place is where I get my prescriptions and over the counter medicine.
