Parked at this Vons parking lot on a Sunday evening while visiting a friend that lives nearby. The lot itself was about half full and the store itself was not busy at all. We used the lot as there was no street parking and my wife is visibly pregnant and was having some significant pain in her hip that day. I actually needed to help her from the car so stopping and letting her out wasn't even an option. We intended to go grocery shopping afterwards, but when we returned to our car 3 hours later it was towed. Apparently, a spotter from western towing saw me help my wife out of the car and watched us waddle away without going into Vons first. We were towed within 1 hour and 5 mins. They said it was a manager from Vons. Maybe it was. The guys name was Fred Ring. I used to go to this Vons all the time. I will never go again as they are working with vultures like western towing. Even worse, when we walked into the store at 9:45pm they wouldn't let my wife a restroom while we waited for an Uber . Again, obviously pregnant and desperate if she's asking to use their nasty bathroom.

Would give zero stars if I could. The manager, Jonathon Vasquez, towed my car from their parking lot while I was still inside the store. I was inside of the store for an hour, and Jonathon lied about my arrival time so he could tow my car before the hour mark. Avoid this store and its staff at all costs.

Popular products are frequently out of stock. Here is my list of items I use that cannot be counted on being available. Ham off the bone, quart nonfat milk, store brand canned sauerkraut, pickles beets, the 3 kinds of Progresso chicken noodle soup, dry spaghetti in the most popular brands, ground or whole bean Pete's major dickason's coffee, gardiniera pickled veggies in jars, Cooks Brut champagne, tilapia must be out of season no longer in the store. I know cigarettes are evil but if you are going to sell them replace the cigs you are always out of Marlboro Silver 100's. In closing. Your deli dept is at the top of my list from the 3 Vons I use. NP Vons is blocks from my house but I have started driving miles to the Adams Ave Vons because they do not have regular "out of stock" problems like the North Park store.

I've been shopping here since the 80's. The employees in general seem content. Cashier Kathy always has a smile and the bakery dept. is phenomenal (I always have them slice their made fresh daily Sheep Herder Bread and I'm always greeted with a smile). This is definitely one of my go to stops.

I've been going to the Vons on Adams Ave for about 16 years now. A few things I have learned: The deli/hot food counter is seriously understaffed on weekends and some weekdays, be prepared to wait. The staff at this location has become increasingly rude over the years, some of the cashiers make rude and insulting comments about the shoppers and the young stockers and bag people can be unfriendly and not helpful. The store also does not have the variety of items the larger Vons carry, I usually go to another Vons or Ralphs to get all the items I need. Trying to find a manager is also a problem. The produce is fresh and the meat counter is clean and quick to find you a good cut of meat. Shelves are (usually) stocked. I will be moving to another part of town soon and will not miss this store.

Very hit and miss on service here... The store has some decent prices on some items, I even had some impulse buys that were really good deals. I went to the meat department and the man child behind the counter had such an attitude, which kinda ruined it again for me. Seriously, the first time I had walked in, nearly two years ago, the first thing I heard was some manager yelling at customers really loud. Such a gross experience. So I've avoided it for the most part. Tonight I was driving by on the way home so I thought I would just stop here versus going all the way to Adams Avenue. The meat counter guy, some tall-ish dark haired kid with a crappy attitude really ruined it. Too bad because the cashier was nice. Cashier's name is Scott according to my receipt. He actually took the time to ask how my day was going. Thank you meat counter boy for reminding me that I should shop elsewhere. Next time, you can take your shrimp and shove it where the sun don't shine.

Thought I'd add my review to balance out the negative - this is my neighborhood Vons and I don't go out of my way to buy groceries elsewhere, so I think that's saying something. A few thoughts: - buy groceries before 6pm! A small amount of popular shelves are empty or being stocked in the late evening. - flower section is great before major holidays, take advantage - meat selection is good *** The staff here has been working here for years and are hood people if you treat them nicely

Bad customer service never ring up your items for what they're supposed to be and then try to blame it on you when it's their fault they have the worst service ever all cashiers have big attitude problems and are so rude start hiring responsible and genuine people this store has fallen down

This is my neighborhood Vons, and I've been coming to this store for years for about 95% of my grocery needs. One warning . IF YOU BUY "FRESH" MEAT HERE, OPEN IT IMMEDIATELY WHEN YOU GET HOME AND SMELL IT!! Several times in the past 2 months, I have purchased bad meat from this particular Vons. I don't know if their refrigerators are old and don't get cold enough, or just bad handling practices. I'm so damn tired of either throwing money in the trash, or taking the time to return it, and getting attitude, like last time. The bad pork I bought today was labeled as packaged today. It was less than $5, so I just said screw it, and threw it in the trash. I'll be going elsewhere for my meat needs in the future.

Parking lot gets full and the area is ugly. But the store is excellent, well stocked and clean.

Number 1: Brand new scam at their card readers. When asked to put in the number for the "loyalty" program it wouldn't let me proceed without first answering a new prompt on the bottom. When I answered the prompt lo and behold, no discount on the already outrageously priced items I had. Number 2: Absolutely worthless "customer service." Stood for nearly ten minutes in front of the person in charge of self checkout simply trying to get a refund because it was almost a 50% difference. Left because it ceased to be worth my time when he had not said a single word to me in ten minutes. Absolutely the worst major grocery chain out there, luckily it only took me a few dollars to not make the mistake of shopping here anymore.

I called to put a cake order and since the other 3 locations don't have a decorator for the day they refer me to this one but since I didn't put it in advance to this location they wouldn't even try to make an exception even do , I did put an order to the other location. Ugh

Be warned if ordering grocery pick up from this Vons. We ordered 2 gallons of milk with our order. We got milks that were expiring in 1 day and also had a 50% off sticker on them- but we were charged full price. Clearly they don't pick the best options when shopping for you here. Do not recommend. We did request a refund on the milks as they were sour, the Vons app gave us our money back. However now we have no milk for this week so I have to go to another store. Which defeats the entire purpose of grocery pick up (convenience!).
