Shop here for your groceries if you must (and if you can safely navigate the terrible parking lot) but please don't buy a gift card here. A $100 Target card purchased here had a zero balance when the recipient tried to use it the very next day. I returned with all the receipts but Ralph's had zero interest in helping. I got the distinct impression this has happened before, from which some might infer employee involvement. In any case something's rotten and it ain't the produce section.

I am so tired of the Ralphs employees that work near the self checkout. They are so rude, they make excuses about them checking your receipt thinking that you sold some items and if a store is going to have self checkout section they should not be treating the customers like they are all thieves.

I asked to use the restroom at this Ralph's store, restroom lock on door does not lock, on my way out after using the restroom and being walked in on but luckily I was fully dressed... I asked the employees that directed me to the restroom, if they were aware the restroom door doesn't lock and they both said yes (a male and female employee) they were both aware and they apologized the lock on the door doesn't work. It is very disturbing the restroom door doesn't actually lock but it is far more disturbing employees know this, and don't advise customers asking/using the restroom before hand and on top of that had a male employees walking in on a female using the restroom is beyond belief, this should not be allowed!

Smaller Ralphs that located in Point Loma but away from Liberty Station, so you can avoid the crazy parking, but still it has a very small parking, and the traffic on Rosecrans Street also not ideal, anyway I was doing a little shopping on dill pickles spears because Costco only carries the baby kind, I found a few brands here.They pretty much have everything other Ralphs have, except I couldn't find the Lactaid brand ice cream, but they do have other dairy free brands, which was fine.Finally I ran into Channel 933 radio station doing their street promo with one of the store brand Haig's Hummus in honor of National Hummus Day, they gave all the customers vip coupons to try any flavors for free.Unfortunately Haig's Hummus were stored at a different section from the regular hummus brands, and not many employees were aware of that, lucky for me, I was helped by one of the Haig's employee himself, remember if you want to get this brand, the hummus will be located at the kosher section, fyi if you're looking for it next time.I picked the garlic original since I was not into spicy flavor.Finally the store is very short on staffs, maybe 2 of the registers open, the rest is self check out, but most of them didn't work unless you get to an employee, hopefully they will hire more people.

Very wide selection of great food and household needs! The staff is accommodating and the atmosphere is calm and productive for grocery shopping.

Just had the pleasure of having Mahogany as our cashier. She was an absolute pleasure and the epitome of amazing customer service. We were laughing so hard with her my cheeks hurt. She's GREAT!

They have the basics, but too small to have a variety of anything. What blows my mind is self checkout- you have an employee handing out plastic bags as if his job depended on it. However I've seen people walk out of that store, straight up rob alcohol from here, and they do nothing. Instead- they helicopter paying customers and make sure they paid $.10 for a plastic bag. Ridiculous.

If I could give this gas station no stars I would. Absolutely no customer service! The attendant could not have been less helpful if he tried in addition with his bad attitude

I appreciate that this Ralph's has a small town grocery feel. The produce and vegetables are always immaculate and the deli does a fantastic job.A Starbucks is always a bonus, and I find that the checkers here are incredibly friendly.The two areas I would love to see improved are the meat counter and the parking lot. I know it's Pt Loma and West of 5, but the layout itself needs a study on efficiency.As far as the meat, the supply and quality are not the best, but overall a great spot.

I called the store in advance of my trip and the meat/sea food department did a great job to both answer my call quickly and to confirm my request for fresh Poke is always available! So I am planning to Hit up Ralphs when I arrive to San Diego at the end of September for a 4 day Off Shore Big Tuna Fishing Trip!

I put in $97 in gas at the gas pump& it asked me for a receipt which I declined. The pumpShould have turned off. Minutes later my card was charged for $227.00. Buyers beware! Check your credit card charges.

Impossible to get a basket -- could only find carts? Store wasn't busy, either, so... where were they hiding?Convenient location. Decent parking lot. A little on the quaint side, but it had everything that I needed. Definitely prefer Ralph's to the other local store (Jensen's). 2022: 30/100

This store is in a convenient location .So close to shelter island .Always friendly staff working here .The sushi is really good and so fresh and the guy who makes is so nice and hard worker .Parking is sometimes limited at busy times of the day .

The bakery staff at this location is outstanding. Ashley was so helpful on the phone and she helped me design a gorgeous cake for my husband's 60th birthday. The quality and design work by the baking staff was perfect! Thank you!

Great grocery store for how small it is compared to other Ralph's they have a great selection. However some employees could use better training because I was doing two orders @ self checkout they automatically thought I was stealing and treated me as such
